Chapter 90: Chapter 98: So This Happened

"Director is what others call me, but you should be calling me brother-in-law!" Daniel Taylor raised his hand and knocked Jane Sampson on the head, treating her with the familiarity of an actual sister.

Jane Sampson scratched her head and muttered softly, "Aren’t you divorced from my Sister Tin? Still calling you brother-in-law doesn’t seem right, does it?"

"What? Divorced?" Daniel Taylor was taken aback, "I got divorced from Tin? When did this happen? How come I don’t know about it?"

Turning his head, Daniel Taylor looked at the people behind him, asking with confusion, "When did I get divorced?"

"Director Taylor, you got divorced early this year," King reminded him in a hushed tone, with a facepalm.

"That really happened? How come I don’t remember getting divorced?" Daniel Taylor’s face relaxed, clearly in disbelief, scratching his head and continuing to shake his head, "Stop talking nonsense, how could I possibly divorce Tin."

After saying this, Daniel Taylor looked over at the dumbfounded personnel and said, "You guys figure out what to do next, I have other things to tend to."

With that, Daniel Taylor called Jane Sampson to head out the main gate with him.

Rock Bell was waiting in the waiting area, having heard the personnel’s announcement just now, knew that Evelyn Woods and Richard Woods’ roles were decided. She felt a sense of relief. It was good news. Jane Sampson must have fought her corner.

"Tin." Daniel Taylor spotted the person playing with her mobile phone in the waiting area and walked over directly, opening the conversation with, "King said we got divorced early this year? Is that true?"

"Are you really forgetful or just pretending to be?" Rock Bell laughed upon hearing this, "During that period, we were so busy we didn’t even have time to go to the Civil Affairs Office. The lawyer had to run back and forth to deliver our divorce agreement. It’s been half a year."

"We truly got divorced?" Daniel Taylor wore an astonished face, and then his expression turned somewhat sad, "Why did we get divorced?"

Jane Sampson and King stood behind, listening to the conversation in front, their feet awkwardly hovering midair before being retracted just as awkwardly.

"Daniel Taylor, are you sick in the head or something? It’s been half a year and you’re still asking me whether we’re divorced and why?" Rock Bell rolled her eyes at Daniel Taylor then gestured to Jane Sampson, "The audition is over, so let’s go back to Capital Province. As for the subsequent arrangements..."

Rock Bell’s gaze fell on King standing next to Jane Sampson, only then saying, "King, you inform me about the subsequent arrangements."

King subconsciously nodded while Daniel Taylor, seemingly unaware of Rock Bell’s irritation, approached, "Let’s have lunch together? It feels like it’s been a long time since we ate together."

"I don’t have the leisure to eat with an ex-husband," Rock Bell dropped the remark and called for Jane Sampson as she headed to the elevator entrance.

Daniel Taylor pursued persistently, "Then how about we find time to remarry and have a meal together?"

Jane Sampson almost stumbled, sneaking a glance at Rock Bell and seeing her face visibly darken. She didn’t ask further and obediently stood next to her, waiting for the elevator.

As soon as the elevator arrived, Rock Bell pulled Jane Sampson inside, swiftly pushing out the person trying to enter and quickly closed the elevator doors.

Leaving Daniel Taylor’s company, the two hailed a car back to the hotel and bought tickets for the next high-speed train back to Capital Province.

The script was still in the casting stage, so there was temporarily nothing to do for Jane Sampson’s minor role in these few days.

While waiting for the high-speed train, Rock Bell’s mobile phone chimed with a text message. Jane Sampson peeked from the side and saw the sender’s name was Daniel Taylor on the text message.
