Chapter 35: Chapter 43: What to do

She threw a tantrum and played up so hard, hoping he couldn’t take it anymore and would suggest divorce himself!

James Black glanced indifferently at the woman, still trapped in the quilt and proud as ever, then turned and went into the bathroom, and soon, the entire room was filled with nothing but the sound of running water from the bath.

Jane Sampson struggled mightily to escape the quilt, and once she flung it off, she was drenched in sweat, her face as red as if she had just finished a workout.

She lay down again, propped her head up with one hand, and languished on her side like a Honored Princess Consort, her gaze fixed on the frosted glass bathroom door, with the image of James Black taking a bath uncontrollably popping into her mind.

James Black was a defender, and from a young age, he trained his body along with Old Master Black. Jane didn’t even need to purposely touch him to know; during their intimate moments, she would sometimes accidentally come into contact with his physique.

A man who had taken a bath just a few minutes ago only to shower again a few minutes later, especially under unfulfilled urges, didn’t leave much to the imagination as to why.

When James Black came out again, Jane couldn’t help but let out a loud sarcastic laugh at him. Just as she was about to say something, James fixed her with a look that was seething with killing intent, and Jane instantly cowered, closing her mouth and lying back down to sleep.

This night had to be the most comfortable sleep Jane Sampson had since marrying James Black. After witnessing his embarrassment before bed, she fell asleep and even dreamt of his awkwardness, unaware that her laughter even escaped her lips in her sleep, startling James Black awake late at night, as he watched her for a long time.

Nearly two months of schedule adjustment meant Jane now automatically woke up at 5:30 in the morning. During her learning class, she needed to get up at 5:30 every day and be in the gym by 5:50 to exercise for forty minutes before breakfast.

In the autumn early dawn at 5:30, when Jane opened her eyes, James was no longer next to her. Jane Sampson thought for a moment, then tiptoed out of bed and towards the bedroom door. Like a thief, she was about to poke her head out to see if James in the living room was already dressed and ready to return to the Solar Planet Guardian Team when, unexpectedly, before her head could emerge, she bumped into a wall—a rather forceful encounter that almost sent her tumbling to the ground.

The wall, or rather the person-wall, could be no one else but James Black.

Jane rubbed her forehead and glanced at James’s attire, surprised to see him dressed in home running special sportswear, apparently prepared to go jogging in the residential community.

"What are you doing?" James Black frowned, looking at Jane Sampson, who was sneakily peering at him from the side. What was she up to, sneaking around like this early in the morning?

"You’re going back to the Solar Planet Guardian Team after your run, aren’t you?" Jane asked tentatively.

As usual, James would only sleep at home and then leave early the next day without even eating breakfast to return to the Solar Planet Guardian Team; he wouldn’t miss the morning training of the guard team.

But from the looks of it, did he plan to go back after his run today?

No matter how convincing Jane acted, James knew why she was asking this.

"Really wish I’d go back early?" James asked.

Truth be told, there was no need to ask. The answer was written all over her face, and even if she shook her head in denial, it wouldn’t change the genuine desire from her heart.

Thinking about how eager she was for him to return to the Solar Planet Guardian Team, James suddenly felt reluctant to fulfill her wish.
