CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 34 - 42: Be Quiet
Jane Sampson was caught off guard, still in a daze when a man, heavy like a big mountain, pressed down on her.
"James Black, you..." Jane blinked her eyes, thought for a moment, pushed the man on top of her, and then said, "Do you sleep with the light on?"
It wasn’t as if a big girl was climbing into a bridal sedan; the man was clinging to her, and even the dull Jane Sampson knew what James Black was up to.
In the past, James Black would usually wait for the lights to go out before doing this sort of thing with her: in the dark and haphazard, each time Jane felt the person above her was incredibly forceful as if trying to crush her to death, yet she couldn’t make out any expression on James Black’s face.
This time, the room was brightly lit; for the first time, Jane saw desire on James Black’s face—not emotional affection but raw lust.
"No need," James Black replied with a hoarse voice and then began to unbutton Jane’s pajamas.
Feeling the man on top of her becoming more urgent in his movements, eventually even a bit rough, Jane finally mustered the strength to push him off. Facing James Black’s expression as if he was about to devour her, Jane couldn’t help but reveal a mischievous smile with a slight baring of her teeth.
"I got my period today, it’s only the third day!"
After saying this, Jane crawled out from under James Black and scooted back to her spot. Once settled, she deliberately threw him a flirtatious look, seeing his face turn dark, she felt an inner surge of glee.
The reason she was fearless was simply because she was on her period.
In the past, when James Black returned home, it was as if he had calculated the days; whenever he came home, he never encountered her period; every homecoming marked her dreaded days of the month.
Watching James Black turn over to lie face up next to her, Jane couldn’t help but let her laughter spill out further. She deliberately called out to him and asked, "James Black, are you feeling particularly uncomfortable?"
Her words sounded like she was genuinely concerned about him, but her tone was filled with schadenfreude.
"If it’s so uncomfortable, should I find a little sister to help you out?" Jane sighed with mock regret, "But what can I do? If you go out and find another little girl, I’ll have the perfect excuse to divorce you."
"I don’t remember feeding you the guts this evening," James Black quickly got down from the bed, turned his head to look at Jane lying there with a blossoming smile, and his gaze jumped. Seeing her bare shoulders exposed by the few unbuttoned buttons of her pajamas, her skin was tender and provocative—she was the very image of a tempting beauty.
James Black stood still for a moment, then grabbed the quilt, shook it out smoothly over Jane, and rolled her up like a spring roll onto the other side of the bed. Jane wailed as she was spun around, disoriented, her head sticking out of the quilt like a caterpillar, struggling in vain to get free, and eventually staring at James Black with eyes brimming with rage.
"You’re just like before, people like you better when you’re quiet." The present Jane Sampson, he couldn’t guess what she would say next.
Shocking words, an endless battle.
The good girl of the family elders had now become a veritable female rogue; the change was so great that James Black couldn’t adapt at all.
"Reporting!" Jane Sampson shouted at the top of her lungs, "I’m sorry, Chief! I cannot oblige!"
He liked her quiet? Well, that’s easy to fix, isn’t it?
