Chapter 1589: Chapter 1597: Equal Blessings of Rain and Dew

Could there be a place in the dormitory she hasn’t searched yet?

Thinking about James Black’s height, Jane Sampson thinks there might be a possibility.

"Fine, if you don’t want to talk about it." Bright Sampton waves his hand, chuckling, "But whenever we talk about your fans, I can’t help but laugh. Why does no one believe you’re married? Every time I see brother-in-law’s comments under your Twitter, he gets scolded so badly by your fans, I almost feel sorry for him."

Bright Sampton says, "Sis, just for the fact that your fans bully your brother-in-law, you should be nicer to him. Otherwise, he’d be too pitiful."

"Pitiful my ass, he’s just annoying." Jane Sampson scoffs, then parks the car at the familiar doorway of the imported supermarket, reminds Bright Sampton to watch the car, and pushes the car door open to get out. She directly carries a box of imported sweet oranges into the trunk, restarts the car, and heads toward the countryside.

"Grandpa’s not around anymore, with such a big box of oranges, I wonder if Grandma can finish them," Bright Sampton suddenly muses.

But after saying it, Bright Sampton realizes he’s being insensitive and said something he shouldn’t have.

He glances at Jane Sampson’s expression and sees her indeed look a bit somber, so he wisely starts talking about some antics of his buddies at the base, quickly diverting Jane Sampson’s attention until he successfully makes her laugh, which finally lets him breathe a sigh of relief.

The two arrive in the countryside before lunchtime, and because they had called Granny Sampton beforehand, she and the nanny were waiting in the house for them to eat.

Inside the house, Granny Sampton hears the sound of the car and comes out, standing in the courtyard, smiling as she waits for the two kids to get out of the car.

"Grandma~" Bright Sampton shouts from inside the car before getting out, and once Jane Sampson stops the car, he swiftly hops out and runs towards Granny Sampton.

Halfway there, he’s called back by Jane Sampson.

"Bright Sampton, bring the stuff from the car trunk inside the house." Jane Sampson calls out.

"Oh, I almost forgot." Bright Sampton cheerfully runs back and takes the box of oranges from the trunk into the house.

"Isn’t Jane out filming? How did she have time to visit Grandma?" Granny Sampton tightly holds Jane Sampson’s hand, very happy.

"There’s some issue with the film crew, so I don’t have to go to the crew for these few days," Jane Sampson explains.

"It’s rare to have free time; why didn’t you go to the guard team to keep James Black company but ran here to the countryside?" Granny Sampson pats the back of Jane Sampson’s hand, "You should take better care of James."

"Grandma, my sister just came from the guard team this morning; she spent the day with brother-in-law at the guard team on Valentine’s Day and stayed for three days before leaving." Bright Sampton peeks his head out from inside the house, "My sister only has one, a younger brother, a husband, and grandma. She has to spread her attention evenly!"

"You’re such a grown-up now, why do you still need your sister to look after you?" Granny Sampton laughs, knowing Jane Sampson spent several days at the guard team with James Black and even spent Valentine’s Day together. Only then is Granny Sampton at ease.

Thinking about Jane Sampson and James Black’s good relationship, Granny Sampton smiles so widely she can’t close her mouth as she leads Jane Sampson into the house with her hand, "Knowing you and Bright Sampson were coming, I personally cooked the dishes you both love. Have a big lunch; if you eat too much, it’s okay. Eat more, and in the afternoon accompany Grandma to stroll around the village and hike up the mountain."
