CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 1590 - 1598: It’s None of Your Business Anymore
"Then I’ll really need to eat a bit more." Jane Sampson nodded.
Bright Sampton was quick; he had already washed his hands and sat down beside the dining table. After Granny Sampson and Jane Sampson also sat down, Bright Sampton suddenly asked, "Grandma, did Daddy come this morning too? Did he leave just before my sister and I arrived? At the crossroads coming into the village, I think I saw Daddy’s car. We were going in, and he was going out."
"Eat, eat, don’t mention that scoundrel your dad." Granny Sampson got angry upon mentioning Father Sampson and turned to ask, "The company shares that Grandpa and I gave you, you returned them to your dad?"
"Sister returned them; that day Dad and Julie Sampson pressured her into it," Bright Sampton quickly answered for Jane Sampson.
"Returned is returned, now the company matters have nothing to do with you, no need to worry about that scoundrel." Granny Sampson nodded, "The stuff Grandpa and Grandma have will be left for you and Bright Sampton."
"Grandma, Bright and I don’t want it, you should live to a hundred years old and strive to spend it all," Jane Sampson laughed while hugging Granny Sampson’s hand, "Whatever Bright and I want, we can earn it ourselves."
Granny Sampson pretended to be upset and raised her hand to lightly smack Jane Sampson’s arm. Though she raised it high, the force when it fell was like a gentle touch, "What you earn is yours, but what Grandpa and Grandma give is because they love you, and it has nothing to do with that scoundrel. He has no face to intervene."
"Let’s not talk about this, Grandma, let’s eat." Bright Sampton put a piece of meat into his mouth, "Grandma’s braised pork is simply delicious, perfectly balanced in fat and lean, and with each bite, you feel a burst of flavors that just makes you feel good."
"I bet even your high school compositions couldn’t be written as well as what you just said!" Granny Sampson jokingly scolded Bright Sampson, "Eat your food properly. If it’s good, eat more."
Although usually on the phone Granny Sampson would often tell Bright Sampton and Jane Sampson not to keep coming down to the countryside, saying they were busy and shouldn’t worry about her.
However, it truly delighted Granny Sampson when the young siblings had the heart to come to the countryside to have a meal with her, to see her, and to chat with her. After eating, the nanny took the bowls to wash, and Granny Sampson led Jane Sampson and Bright Sampson outside for a walk in the village.
Along the way, Granny Sampson cheerfully talked to the young siblings about the changes in the village.
"In recent years, the village has been promoting rural tourism development, so the village has become much prettier. The peach blossoms planted last year are now in full bloom. I’ll take you to the Peach Blossom Garden for a stroll. Let me tell you, although this is the countryside, lately, many people are coming here for outings."
Granny Sampson spoke with enthusiasm, "There are quite a few people carrying long and short camera lenses, coming here to take photos. I’ve heard from people in the village that some even set up tents on the mountain to sleep overnight, just to capture the morning fog and sunrise. People in the village love these tourists; they have money and are generous in buying stuff, and the mountain products in the village don’t even need to be sold outside. Just setting up a stall in the village can earn several hundred bucks a day."
Granny Sampson talked about village life, and Jane Sampson and Bright Sampson both listened intently.
Growing up and living in town, the two siblings rarely got so close to rural life. Moreover, since Granny Sampson spoke with such joy, the young siblings naturally had the patience to listen to what she said.
