Chapter 1467: Chapter 1475 Explosive Ah

Peter drove his own car and was clearly supposed to start out together with James, yet he ended up arriving twenty minutes late.

He entered the room, panting heavily, and exclaimed, "Guess what I saw on the way here!"

Peter slumped into a chair, poured himself a glass of lemon water, and downed several gulps. Yvette saw his behavior and teased, "Did you see some hot babe on the way and get all worked up?"

"Sister Yvette, I grew up watching you and Jane Sampson together. After seeing women like you two, do you think there’s any lady in this world who can still make me think of beauty?" Peter waved dismissively. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Oh wow, I used to think Jane Sampson had sharp enough wit, but turns out you’ve got her beat, Peter. What, buttering up my wife to make her happy—you trying to steal her from me or what? Sure, pretty ladies are nice, but they still aren’t yours." Thomas gave Yvette a kiss, right in front of the three of them.

Peter spat out a mouthful of tea, just missing Thomas’s sleeve and leaving a mess.

"You guys... are you trying to kill me?" Peter covered his eyes with his hand. "Do you have to abuse us single dogs like this? This is just too much! Sister Yvette, you’re settling for less here, aren’t you? Pairing up with anyone would be better, but you end up with Thomas, that beast in human clothing? What a disservice to you!"

Immediately, Peter took a flying kick from Thomas.

Peter laughed loudly, finally settling down. "Sister Yvette, Thomas, does this mean we’ll soon be able to attend your wedding banquet?"

"Let’s see. He’s still in the probation period," Yvette shook her head. "You mentioned seeing something on the way, so hurry up and spill. Judging by your expression just now, it must’ve been something juicy."

"Juicy? Of course it’s juicy!" Peter almost slammed the table. "I saw Julie being slapped! She was slapped by that fiancée of what’s-his-name David, right on the street—two resounding and solid slaps."

Peter raised his voice to imitate, "You bitch! Seducing someone else’s fiancé—do you even have a shred of shame!?"

"That woman has some serious fighting skills, clearly trained in handling situations like this. Julie was wearing high heels—there was no way she stood a chance against her. The guy Julie was seducing, that what’s-his-name David, at first defended her, but he ended up getting slapped by his fiancée as well. After that, he just stood by meekly, watching, not even bothering to intervene."

Peter added, "By the time it got to the later part, Julie was crying and sitting on the ground. Only then did that man tell his fiancée that he was only playing around with Julie, just messing around for fun—asking why she had to take it so seriously. Julie heard that and started arguing with what’s-his-name David too."

"So you watched the whole drama unfold, huh? No wonder you’re this late." Jane didn’t care about what outcome Julie and David’s argument had brought.

David having a fiancée was known by everyone. Even Jane, who typically didn’t bother paying attention, had heard about it. Julie, of all people, would obviously know this as well.

Given she knew the guy had a fiancée yet still chose to entangle herself with David, Julie daring to do such a thing meant she was bound to face the consequences eventually.

She deserved every bit of it.

It was just that the fallout took longer to arrive than expected.

After all, Julie and David were anything but discreet—shopping together, watching movies together—they practically acted like normal lovers, without avoiding suspicion in the slightest.

"What happened in the end?" Jane wasn’t curious about the outcome, but Yvette definitely was.
