CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 1417 - 1425: I Just Like to Eat
"Coco is so naughty, knowing that I was busy today, yet she kept sending me photos of her vacation, the little island blooming in spring, I’m so envious! She even sent photos of seafood barbecue, and I was having porridge at noon while drooling over those seafood barbecue pictures she sent."
James Black listened to Jane Sampson’s incessant chatter as they returned to the guard team.
It had been over a month since he last saw Jane Sampson.
At the end of the year, he was so busy that he was hardly seen, and Jane Sampson was also caught up in her busy schedule to the point that even making a phone call felt like a luxury. So listening to Jane Sampson talk all the way felt not at all wasteful to James Black.
No matter what she talked about, no matter if the matters were big or small, he listened with full attention.
When the two returned to the dormitory, it was almost 11:30. Entering the door, Jane Sampson bowed her head, took off her scarf and handed it back to James Black, then proceeded to unzip her down jacket, as the dormitory was heated and wearing it felt rather hot.
"Help me put down the down jacket, I’ll fix my hair." Jane Sampson casually handed the down jacket to James Black, and as she was about to arrange her hair, James Black suddenly grabbed her wrist.
With one pull, he brought her entire body into his arms.
The next second, his passionate kiss descended upon her.
Jane Sampson, powerless to resist, gently placed her hands on his waist, and he lingered on her lips for a long time, gently prying open her shells teeth.
And she, without hesitation, responded eagerly.
She missed him.
Missed him very, very much.
This morning when she called him, and knew that he might not have time to pick her up, she genuinely felt wronged.
Even though she had jokingly expressed her irritation every time he mentioned her coming to guard the Chinese New Year with him before, in her heart, she was a hundred percent willing.
A Chinese New Year without him felt neither lively nor warm.
Wherever he was, that was her home.
Only with him did it truly feel like the New Year.
This kiss, intensely intertwined, contained over a month’s separation of longing and emotions that hadn’t had the chance to be verbally expressed.
Once the kiss ended, more than twenty minutes had astonishingly passed.
James Black looked down at Jane Sampson’s slightly swollen lips from his kiss, gently touched them, and her lipstick today was chocolate-flavored.
"You’ve lost weight." This was something James Black had noticed the moment he saw her backstage; when he hugged and kissed her, his hands wrapped around her waist, and he could feel that there was less flesh on her waist.
"Yes, lost some weight." Jane Sampson smiled with curved eyes, "I’ve been exercising for two months with Mr. Carter to train my breathing. You hadn’t seen the effects last time you were home, but later it did, I lost 5 catties! But, my body is much firmer now!"
Jane Sampson, smiling, made a superman muscle gesture, although in reality, what could be discerned from her slim arms covered by clothes?
"Also, it’s perfect timing, I’ll be entering the film crew after Chinese New Year, and the female lead of the new drama ’Fox Fairy’ is supposed to be beautifully thin like a little fox." Jane Sampson was quite proud of her weight loss achievement over the past two months.
James Black, however, twitched the corner of his mouth, thinking that he must fatten her back up by these 5 catties over the next half month!
"Sit for a while, I’ll go make something for us to eat," said James Black.
"Tomato and egg noodles?" Jane Sampson blurted out, and only when James Black gave her a look, she quickly scratched her head and hurriedly added, "Tomato and egg noodles are delicious, I really like eating them!"
James Black chuckled meaningfully, "Beautiful you are."
Then, without another word, he turned and went into the kitchen.
Jane Sampson stood up and followed him into the kitchen, just to see James Black taking out dumplings from the freezer, and she exclaimed with delight, which went unsaid.
Oh, it’s not tomato and egg noodles!
"Did you make these dumplings?" Jane Sampson asked.
"No," James Black closed the refrigerator, "the dining hall has dumplings tonight. Knowing you’d be here, I specifically saved some to bring back for you."
Jane Sampson clicked her tongue, "I guessed you didn’t make them."
In that click of her tongue was thick disdain, and James Black had to hold himself back from putting the dumplings back in the freezer to cook her tomato and egg noodles instead.
