CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 156: A Warm Welcome

Amy and Henry buried themselves with work for the whole week to cover for the time that they will be spending on the island for their much-awaited honeymoon. Before they know it, it’s already the weekend and it is time for them to leave.

Amy set her alarm at five in the morning to prepare for their departure even though she had already packed everything that they needed last night.

She got up as soon as she heard her alarm go off as if her body was already anticipating its sound even while she was sleeping.

What surprised her is that her husband woke up earlier than her. Henry already left her side while she sleeps and she assumes that he is in the walk-in closet right now for she can hear noises coming from there.

"What are you doing in here so early in the morning?" Amy leaned on the door as she rubs her eyes.

"Good morning, love," Henry greeted before he kisses her on the forehead. "I was just packing some stuff."

"What stuff? We already packed our things last night, did you forget something?"

"Just some additional stuff that I wanted to bring. Come on let’s get out of here. Let’s eat something first before we go to the resort, they will serve us brunch and I don’t want you to get hungry on the way."

When it was about time to leave, Amy excitedly hopped into their car and what she saw in the hangar thrilled her more.

"Is this your plane too?" She asked in amazement with eyes wide open as she stares at Henry’s private jet.

"It’s ours, love, what’s mine is yours," Henry corrected but Amy didn’t seem to hear what he said for she was already walking towards the plane.

"It is so cute! Is this real? Does it fly? It looks like a toy!" Amy was still keeping her gaze on the jet while firing questions one after the other.

Henry laughed at her wonderment. For him, she looks like a kid who went to a theme park for the very first time.

"Do you like it?" Amy nodded and came closer to the plane. "It is called Cirrus Vision SF50, I bought it last year but I only used it once to test it. So this is the first time that I will be flying it while enjoying it at the same time."

"Aw... so another first with me then?" This time Amy finally looked at him and gave him a genuine smile.

He smiled back as he nodded, "I finally got your attention back."

Amy chuckled and rolled her eyes, "Don’t tell me you are jealous of your own plane?"

"Well, you have been staring at it ever since we arrived here."

"It is eye-catching, I can’t help it. It is so small and so cute, I wasn’t expecting something like this."

"Let me tour you inside then."

If Amy was astounded by the exterior, she was in awe when she saw the interior. She immediately noticed that the seats were made of high-quality leather. The plane controls are modern, so different from what she sees on TV or in movies.

It has a flat-screen TV and even has game consoles on the sides. She also saw a mini fridge in the corner. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"This... looks like a luxury car’s interior. It doesn’t look like a plane’s interior at all!" Amy exclaimed.

"And that’s one of the reasons why I bought it. You know I am afraid of heights before and the interior of this makes me feel like I am just inside a car," Henry then took her hand and lead her to the front passenger seat.

"Oh my God, this is so amazing, come on let’s go! I want to try it already."

Henry chuckled and pinch Amy’s cheek, "Cute! Wait for me here, I’ll just talk to some people before we go."

And in no time, they are up in the air flying.

"Henry, we should fly more. I think I am in love with your Vision Jet."

"You should learn how to fly then," Henry said with a smirk then added, "I am sure Jayson and Jena would love to see you fly a plane someday. If you want when we get back, you can enroll and then show your skills when we pick up the kids after Jayson’s physical therapy."

"Really? I can do that? I would think about it. Maybe once 70% of the shops are open then I can have more time."

"Alright, just inform me when you are ready."

Amy then looked at the view outside the window, she took pictures of it and also a lot of pictures of her and Henry. She even sent some to their group chat and posted some on her social media.

She was having the best time of her life that she took pictures of everything that she sees. Henry was happy to see that Amy is enjoying herself not minding whatever she does inside the plane.

"Amy, get ready, we will land soon," Henry said after some time of flying.

"Already? That was so fast for a small plane like this."

"This plane is top of the line when it comes to its technology. It even has a safe return feature and parachute in case of an emergency situation."

"Hearing that made me love this jet more," they both laugh as Amy fastens her seatbelt beside Henry. She saw an island just right in front of them, it was not small nor big.

She noticed other small islands surrounding it as well. She soon saw the runway and was awestruck at how smoothly Henry had landed their plane.

At the very end of the runway were the resort staff waiting for them. Both men and women wore floral yellow shirts and teal shorts, making them very easy to see from afar.

Henry drove the plane to their designated parking and soon the resort’s staff ran towards them ready to open their plane’s door to give them a warm welcome and assist them with their luggage.
