Chapter 151: Get Out

"Nah uh!" Amy shook her head as she push Henry away, "Not now, love. Priorities... remember? We have to focus on work first then next week we can proceed with our baby-making project, ok?"

Henry sighed at his failed attempt. If it’s up to him he will not go to work and just stay in their room with Amy until tomorrow comes.

The newlyweds went to work right after having lunch in the mansion, and Amy went straight to the eighth floor where her new office is being renovated to see its progress while Henry went to the CEO’s floor.

Before Henry can enter his office, his secretary Toby was already waiting for him at the elevator entrance.

"Sir, Mr. Marcus Lane is in the receiving area waiting for you. I have tried to call you but your phone is off. He has been here since morning and refused to go until he talks to you."

"It’s ok, I’ll talk to him. Bring us some tea," Toby nodded at Henry before walking away as Henry walked toward the receiving area with an obvious displeasure on his face.

He already has an idea of what he needs from him and he is not looking forward to it.

"Ah, Henry! I’ve heard a rumor and I am here hoping you will say it is not true," Marcus Lane uttered right away as soon as he saw Henry.

"Let’s head to my office so we can talk privately," Henry then gestured for Marcus to follow him which the latter did.

"Have a seat, Uncle Marcus, I asked for some tea, your favorite," Henry said as he unbutton his coat before sitting opposite Marcus. "What brings you here," he asked pretending not to have any idea why the man was there.

"I thought you and Vanessa were just having some lover’s quarrel. But what is this that I have heard? According to our common friends, Trevor is telling everyone that you got married yesterday. Please tell me it is not true, and this is just another prank from Trevor trying to get you and Vanessa to tie the knot as soon as possible."

Henry scoffed and shook his head, he can’t believe that this man is still stuck in his own illusions even after he severed all his connections to Vanessa.

"With all due respect Uncle Marcus, first, me and Vanessa were never lovers. Second, didn’t she inform you that I already pulled out all my investments from her business? And third, I had never agreed to marry her. It was just you and my father who thought of that, and my father is dead. Even if he is alive right now, he can’t make me marry Vanessa or any other woman for that matter if I don’t want to."

Marcus’ face turned red in anger, his fist clenched. He was too complacent these past few weeks, he didn’t expect Henry to get married as fast as that when his daughter and Henry had been friends with benefits since they were young.

But still, he tried his best to control his emotions, it’s not too late he thought. There’s a divorce in their country and separating the two is not impossible.

"If it is about your inheritance, you could have just told me. You know that Vanessa is not after your money. She has her own company, she’s independent and loves you since you were children. Unlike the woman that you married, did you even make her sign a prenuptial agreement?" Marcus grumbled scornfully.

Henry raised his brow at Marcus’ tone and words, he too was trying his best to not lose his temper for old times’ sake but this man is wearing out his patience with every sentence that comes out of his mouth.

"And what are you suggesting? That my wife is using me for money?" Henry glowered and he knows that he is at the end of his self-control.

"That’s what I am trying to say! Can’t you see that? She just appeared out of nowhere, wanting to be f*cked, and now you have put a lot of money into her dying company. She is just using you, son. But don’t worry, it is not too late, you can still divorce her. Vanessa will still accept you no matter what, she loves you more than her life," Marcus’ boasted trying to convince Henry hoping that he still can before he turns to other methods.

Henry lost it, the last strand of respect that he has in his body for this man is now gone.

"Get out!" Henry shouted as he stood up.

"What? I am just concerned about you. Trev does not see that. He is blinded by his desire to get back your inheritance. He was desperate! That’s why he allowed you to get married to that gold digger. You have to wake up, son!" Marcus stood up as well to get closer to Henry but before he did, Henry raised his hand to stop him from getting any closer.

Henry knows himself well, if Marcus will come any nearer, he will definitely beat the crap out of him for disrespecting Amy with his words. Marcus is older, and he knows that if he gives in to his rage, Marcus will definitely either end up in the hospital or dead.

"Do not come any closer. Get out before I lose my mind. I have no feelings for Vanessa. I never wanted to marry her, it never cross my mind. I only f*cked your daughter while I was thinking of Amy.

I only used your daughter’s body to release my pent-up sexual urges for the woman that I really love. So get out now before I break every bone in your body! GET THE F*CK OUT!"

Toby and Rick who heard the shouting immediately called up security before barging into Henry’s office and were not so surprised by what was going on. They have worked for Henry for years, they know who are Vanessa and Marcus and they are just happy that their boss did not end up being family with the Lanes.

"Take this man out of my building. He is banned from all my and Amy’s properties from now on," Henry instructed the two.

Marcus’ eyes widened at what he heard, "You insolent bastard! You will regret this!"

Marcus did not wait for Henry’s people to drag him away, he walked out of his office muttering curses while texting someone on his phone.

[It’s too late, do it.]

He tapped send before entering the elevator.
