Chapter 139: [Bonus Chapter]Walk Down The Aisle

The sound of the wedding march is the cue to everyone that the processional march is now starting and soon they will be able to see the beautiful bride.

Henry straightened his back as soon as he heard the music playing. He was nervous earlier but now his heart is pounding really hard and really fast. He can feel cold sweat form on his temples and nape.

He knows that he is excited but what he feels right now is beyond excitement and he can’t quite explain it. He watches the people from their small entourage walk down the aisle but it seems like nothing is registering in his mind right now, all of their faces seem blurry in his eyes.

He patiently but eagerly waited for Amy to appear at the end of the aisle. And when everyone had done their part, it was time for the most awaited person in the line... the bride.

Henry fixed his gaze at the end of the trail anticipating the sight of his future wife. Finally, she was there walking toward the aisle... towards him.

Henry saw Amy in her mom’s white strapless wedding gown. Her veil was draped over her head covering her face.

There at the opposite end of the burlap path, is his bride who holds the red roses that were plucked from his garden while she clutches her hand onto his uncle’s arm.

And when she got closer, he saw her crying but smiling at the same time as she looked solely at him. As if it had a mind of its own, his tears flowed on their own.

She was just someone whom he admired from afar way back. Someone who he never thought would be his one day.

He tried his best to stay away from her, to not drag her to his hell, but fate had a different plan. Life gave her circumstances that only he can solve, leaving him with no other choice but to pull her into his world.

Now that she is about to be his, he would do everything in his power to protect her. He would not let anyone make her suffer or take advantage of her. He will make sure that the smile he is seeing now would always be on her lips and the only tears that she would shed are tears of joy.

Henry wiped his tears as Trev and Amy stood before him. And Amy did the same. Mary already gave her some tissue papers earlier for she knows this will surely happen.

"You are a lucky one son, don’t ever let this one go," Uncle Trev remarked before handing Henry Amy’s hand.

"Hi," Amy timidly says as they face each other.

"My angel..." Henry stuttered and again he was not able to stop his tears from falling shamelessly.

Amy smiled sweetly at him as she used both her hands to wipe his tears.

"Such a crybaby," and both giggled before the wedding officiant cleared his throat to get the bride and groom’s attention who seems to be flirting with each other and forgot that they have a wedding to attend to.

The two blushed when the officiant looked at them meaningfully, and they walk to him as they stand in their assigned spot.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the joining of this lovely couple in marriage.

A celebration of love, of commitment, of friendship, of family, and of two people who are committed to each other till forever.

All of us here will help solidify their union, as these two individuals are joined as husband and wife.

Bride and groom, your breathless tale is about to begin."

The wedding officiant then asked them to say their vows.

Henry was the one who went first with his vows, "I give thanks for the past, which brought you to my arms, for now, I look confidently forward with hope to what the future will grant.

Once I was lost, but now I am found, for you are the anchor that I hold on to, the lighthouse that I am bound to.

Love is not enough to describe how I feel for you and if there is a promise that I can give to you, it is the promise to learn about life and grow old with you."

Henry tried hard to speak straight and not stutter but no matter how hard he tried, his voice still came out shaky, with all the mixed emotions that he is feeling right now.

Amy’s turn came next, she was not given much time to write or at least think about her piece but being a writer, she tried her best to match what Henry said.

His piece was short but straight. She felt the sincerity of it making her heart melt, and now it is her turn to sweep him off of his feet.

"You came to my life at the most unexpected moment when I was about to give up. You didn’t just give me hope but you also gave me love.

No one had ever made me feel what I felt for you. You gave me true happiness, joy, and honesty which I value the most.

It might be a cliche but I promise to love you forever for the rest of my life. You are the only man that God has created for me to love."

The people listening to the couple were touched and some even shed some tears, tears of joy for the overflowing love that these two are displaying.

Trev, Mary, and Rei were the people that got mostly affected by the exchange of vows of the two. They cried like babies, not caring about the people around them.

They saw how these two experience how hard life can be, and it is because of that, that they believe that Henry and Amy belonged to each other. And if ever anyone tries to ruin what they have and what they are about to build, those people will also have to face the wrath of these three for they too promise to themselves to protect their beloved Amy and Henry.
