CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 134: Another Gift

Since it is already Henry’s birthday, the flower in the resin is not the only gift Amy prepared.

"Henry, I have another gift for you, my love," Amy said as she pulled away from their kiss. She handed Henry an envelope.

Henry looked suspiciously at the envelope and said, "This is not another ticket to an extreme sports event is it?"

Amy laughed for Henry seemed like he will not open the envelope until she answer his question. "It is not my love. How will you know if you will not open it?"

"You sure it’s not anything that will make me throw up my intestines?" Henry jested.

Amy chuckled, "Yes, go ahead and open it."

Henry opens the envelope and instantly smiled at it, "How did you know I want to go to this place?"

"I have my sources," Amy giggled when Henry suddenly showered him with kisses.

"Thank you, love. We can use our boat to go there," Henry said while flipping through the pages of the brochure that he took out from the envelope.

"Actually, I was thinking of your plane. Rei said you can fly one and I want to see you do that. I already asked the place if we can use yours and they said we can."

"Okay, no problem. This is perfect for our honeymoon, I can’t wait for it."

Right they are getting married she thought. Amy still can’t believe that they are already engaged and yet they will get married the day after their engagement.

"Are you sure you want to get married tomorrow? I mean you don’t have to be in a hurry, I won’t go anywhere," Amy said.

"I want to do this right away Amy. If it’s really up to me, I would do it today right now, we can just sign the papers and not have any ceremony. But even if it’s just a civil wedding in the meantime I want to give you something nice, something that you won’t forget.

We will still have our big wedding maybe after a month. I promise Jayson that he will be there when it happens. I just want to marry you as soon as possible for both of our sake. You understand what I mean right?"

Amy nodded before she hugged him, "Don’t worry too much. Everything will fall into its place soon."

While Amy and Henry were having a heart-to-heart talk in their suite, the people in charge of executing their civil wedding plans were cramming.

Even though it was planned a little bit ahead of time, setting up the place still needs a lot of work and manpower.

When Henry thought of proposing to Amy, he had already hired a wedding planner since he already decided to get married the day after Amy say yes.

He also had Anton and Rei prepare the documents needed not only for their marriage contract but also the documents required to claim his inheritance and for him to be able to release the money that he needs to pay off Amy’s debt.

He had planned everything, from the venue to the food, and also had informed their guests ahead of time so they can already prepare the things that they need to bring.

"I can’t believe Henry would not even let us sleep. Why can’t he wait like maybe three days at least? It’s not like Amy will back out," Maya said.

Sandra, Maya, and Dave are on their way to the farm to get their attire and Amy’s wedding gown that Mary prepared beforehand. It was when Henry and Amy were in Brookegrove for Jayson’s operation that they were tasked to prepare for a slightly impromptu wedding.

"Sis, let’s just be happy that Henry would still want a small ceremony for Amy’s sake. You know that if he is not thinking of Amy and us, he would rather just sign the papers right away and plan the church wedding at a later date right?" Sandra replied.

"I think that way is better instead of this. I just want to sleep," Maya sighed as she look outside the car window.

Dave who was silent all this time can’t help but pity the two women since he knows how tired they are after setting up the surprise party for Henry and now the wedding.

"How about you two go to sleep, you already informed Mary’s mom so for sure she is now preparing everything that you need and I’ll just wake you up when we get there," Dave said.

Sandra and Mary did not reject his offer for they are really tired and they needed to recharge themselves if they want to at least function normally when they arrive at the venue.

Mary, Rei, and Anton went ahead to the site to make sure that everything is doing well. The place that Henry had chosen is a ranch that’s owned by Anton’s parents.

Anton bought the place for his parents since they were farmers and refused to live with him in the city when Henry gave him a job in Welsh Holdings.

The place offers farm-to-table dining, catering services, and venue rentals. It offers stunning scenery, rugged elements, and fresh good food making it a go-to place for people who wanted a rustic and intimate wedding or party venue.

Ever since Henry went ring shopping, he had rented the place for a week from his birthday since he was planning to bring Amy there and propose. But then again, Amy did it first so there was just a slight change of plans.

His original plan was to propose there then call up everyone and get married after three days but of course, he is Henry Welsh, and he can change his plans anytime that he wants to.

There’s a renovated barn, wooden bridges over a manmade pond, and rustic wooden arches in the venue. The wedding planner also requested rustic tables and chairs to be set up just right outside the barn, with string lights all around.

All flowers and linens are white except for Amy’s bouquet which is purely made of red roses, her favorite flower. The place is quickly coming to life, and soon it will be ready for the groom and bride.
