CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 125: Drooling
Amy decided to stay on the farm for the night to spend time with the trainees. Of course, she did not say that she needed to catch up with the training since she spend the majority of her day at Uncle Trev’s mansion listening to his stories.
Surprisingly Henry agreed, saying he will need to work late in the office as well. Amy was glad to hear this for she meant what she said to Ava that she needed to drink.
The information that Uncle Trev gave her weighs heavy on her shoulders even though she knows that it’s not her decision to make. There were so many things that ran through her mind that a drink or two would definitely make her feel good.
"Mary, do you think I should marry Henry?" Amy blurted after finishing her third bottle of beer.
Mary who was in the middle of drinking her bottle almost spits out her beer after hearing her best friend’s question. While Sandra and Maya dropped their jaw in surprise.
"Oh, my God! Did he ask you already? Where’s the ring?" Mary asked as she abruptly inspect Amy’s hands and found nothing.
"Of course, he didn’t. I am just asking a hypothetical question silly," Amy said while poking Mary’s side waist. The three women can see that she is already drunk by the way she laughs at everything and makes funny gestures.
"I don’t think it is hypothetical, since it will happen soon. The man is so in love with you, Amy," Sandra stated.
"Why? Are you planning on saying no if he asks you?" Maya asked even if she doubts that her cousin would say no.
Amy sighed and placed her arm on the table and laid her head on it, "I don’t know."
She loves Henry, yes, but like what she said to Uncle Trev, it is too soon. Amy didn’t move anymore from that position for she doze off as soon as she close her eyes. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Amy heard the crowing sounds of the roosters that they have on the farm and she misses that. To wake up early in the morning smelling the fresh morning dew and smelling the fresh air.
She felt the soft pillow and mattress under her, she hugged it tight smelling the powder scent of the detergent used on it. A crease started forming on her face, recalling how she fell asleep last night on the table in her yard and now she’s on a bed.
She heard the sound of water splashing against the bathroom tiles, she immediately open her eyes and sat up. She notices that she is already wearing her pajamas and there’s a black coat on the back of her vanity chair, it’s Henry’s.
She hurriedly went to the bathroom, the door is slightly open and she was right. There in the shower is her man, taking a shower in his full naked glory. She leaned on the door jamb as she watch his wet body full of soap.
Henry felt like someone is looking at him, he shifted his gaze to the door and there she was, his angel enjoying the show. "Care to join me?"
Amy nodded and took off her clothes. Henry help her wet her hair then he applied some shampoo.
"What are you doing here?" Amy asked as she scrub her body with body wash.
"I miss you and do you think I would be able to sleep without you? But when we arrived the four of you were sleeping so soundly under the stars while drooling," Henry chortled when she saw Amy scrunch her face.
"Drooling? I don’t do that!"
"Haha! Alright, you don’t, I was just kidding. But we took a picture of the four of you. I’ll show you later. We can’t believe you girls can be drunk like that."
"We?" She wonders if he is talking about Rei or if he must have called up Ava or Dave who went to bed early.
"Anton, Theo, and Rei were with me. The meeting that I had was with them. When I told them I will go here, they insisted on coming since they will go here today anyways to inspect the constructions and training."
"So, you said we were all sleeping? The three passed out too?"
"Uh huh," Henry then started to wash off himself after shampooing Amy’s hair.
"If you were the one who carried me here, then how about Mary and my cousins?"
"Theo carried Maya, and you can guess who carried the other two drunkards."
"Hmm, sounds like something is brewing there, don’t you think?"
"I think so too," the two chuckled. They both wanted their loved ones to find true love as they found theirs.
Soon they joined their trainees for breakfast and seems like the people that they hired learns fast and will be a good asset to Amy’s company.
After inspecting everything that they need to, the men went back to the city, leaving Mary, Amy, and her cousins on the farm.
"Boss," Amy’s new HR head called her up and gave her a business card.
"Oh, please call me Amy when we are outside the building."
The HR head smiled and nodded, "Mary told me yesterday that you are still looking for an operations manager since the one you hired backed out.
This person is a friend of mine and he just got back to the country and will stay here for good. I would recommend him because of his previous experiences in handling businesses like yours in different countries."
"You know what since you will be the head of HR anyways, go ahead and hire him if you think he is qualified. Just update me on his employment, and make him report to me once he starts," Amy exclaimed.
And with that their core staff roster is now complete. Amy is thankful that they hired such competent and proactive people. She just couldn’t wait for their operations to begin and start her new career.
It won’t take long until their office is completely renovated and she can already imagine herself sitting at her desk making her dad’s business prosper. Wherever they are right now, she will make sure to make her parents proud.
