CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 112: Deal

Henry felt proud that true to Amy’s word, she really is a good driver. For a woman her size, Henry was impressed that she can handle his truck very well.

They arrive at the Chinese restaurant that Amy was referring to around 7 am. The place is a bit far from Henry’s mansion, it is near the sea just outside the city.

"I am impressed with your driving love and your choice of restaurant. The place looks authentic and based on the number of customers this place has at this hour, I can say that they must have delicious food here," Henry praised as they walk inside the restaurant.

"Of course! I would not want to disappoint you," she said.

Since Amy knows that this place is jampacked all the time, so she made a reservation and she had chosen the seaside area.

"At lunch and dinner, they serve mostly seafood dishes here, we must try that one of these days," Amy told Henry while they follow the receptionist leading them to their reserved seat.

"We can do that tonight if you want," he said. He was looking around the place, admiring the interior of it.

There are red Chinese lanterns hanging as pendant lights everywhere. Touches of gold and red on the walls. Wooden floors and furniture decorated the place. It felt as if you are in a time where dynasties ruled but still with few modern touches. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Not tonight, I have a different plan later," Amy stated.

When they finally reached the seaside area, Henry was surprised to see Rei, waving at them. And together with Rei were Anton, Mary, and Sandra.

Henry looked at Amy with a questioning look and she smiled without saying anything and Henry did not like it at all.

He grab Amy’s wrist to stop her from walking and asked, "I thought it is a date? Why are they here?"

"It is a date, a group date. It’s more fun this way and this is our first group date so let’s enjoy it," Amy explained but Henry still didn’t like it not one bit.

He sat on one of the available chairs with a disappointed look on his face. He was excited when they left thinking that Amy has something special for him and being on a group date didn’t even cross his mind.

He thought that they will be alone someplace romantic and he will be able to do anything with her but now that they are with others, his bubble just burst right in front of him.

"Hey, stop moping, Amy has something in store for you," said Rei.

"Really? And what is that," Henry said in a mocking tone as he cross his arms.

"It’s a surprise, and I am sure we will all love it," Rei grinned at him and Henry had a bad feeling about it.

"What is this psycho talking about love?" Henry could not stop himself from asking Amy because he knows what kind of smile Rei is giving him and he is sure he won’t like that surprise.

"Now that would spoil the surprise. You’ll know soon enough, so let us eat for now so we can be on our way," Amy then handed him the menu and the only thing that he can do right is just sigh and follow her lead.

"No, no, and no! I am not going going to do that!" Henry was horrified when they arrived at their destination for their supposed to be group date. He cannot believe Rei tricked Amy into making him agree to do what he fears the most... Skydiving.

"But I thought you love it?" Amy was confused at how Henry reacted when they arrive at the location.

"Rei is a devil in disguise and he fooled you. He wanted to make fun of me. Love, you don’t have to do this for me, I already know that you are brave and there’s no need to show me," Henry tried to calm himself and convince Amy at the same time.

He is scared of heights and skydiving was the last thing on his mind when he thinks of ideas for activities for a date.

Amy didn’t say anything. She put both her hands on her waist. She is starting to get irritated at how Henry is acting right now.

"Oh no, no, Henry. Skydiving is on Amy’s bucket list. She had been wanting to do this like the day she was born. If you back out now, she’ll be pissed," it was Mary who warned him seeing how annoyed her best friend looks right now.

One of the instructors heard them arguing and decided to butt in, "If you don’t mind sir, let me just say a few things to ease your mind."

Henry just nodded, feeling tired of all the bickering and not wanting to talk anymore.

"Skydiving is not like riding a roller coaster if that’s what you are thinking. You won’t feel your stomach churn when you jump as if your stomach is in your mouth ready to leave your body. There is no dropping feeling like that when you jump from the plane."

That short explanation got Henry’s attention and when the instructor saw it, he continued.

"The speed of the plane makes the sensation more gentle as your body approach terminal velocity. I can compare it to a 15-Year-Old single malt over a huge, hand-carved ice cube in a hand-cut crystal rocks glass. The fall is smooth, it is not soul and stomach-wrenching."

"You got me on the old single malt," Henry said and that made everyone laugh.

"So are you saying yes?" Amy’s eyes twinkle in excitement for her much-awaited skydive will finally happen.

Henry rolled his eyes seeing how elated Amy was, "As if I have a choice. But promise me, if I give you this weekend, then next weekend is mine. Deal?"

"Deal!" Amy cannot contain her happiness, she jumped at Henry hugging him very tight, and whispered, "Thank you, love," before giving him a deep wet kiss in front of everyone.

If this is how Amy will thank him every time he agreed to her then he will never ever say no to her anymore.
