Caught in Affairs with Superstar-Chapter 870 - 551: A White Horse Descends from the Sky (Part 3)
Zhou Yun: "You know you have a bad temper, yet you don’t change it."
"Why should I change?" Wei Heyun said, "Even with a bad temper, I’m doing just fine. It doesn’t stop you from being friends with me, does it?"
"Alright, then."
"I bet you’re cursing me in your heart, calling me a shameless guy who flaunts his family background to boast."
"I don’t really curse you like that," Zhou Yun said. "I don’t think using your connections and family background to achieve something is shameful. I just can’t accept someone using these to violate others’ rights to fulfill their own goals."
Wei Heyun chuckled.
"I guess that’s why I enjoy talking to you so much."
Zhou Yun rolled his eyes at him.
"Do you still fancy Yu Sitian?"
"Not as much as I used to," Wei Heyun suddenly said.
"That’s surprising. Why the sudden change? Weren’t you head over heels for her before?" Zhou Yun teased.
Wei Heyun hesitated for a moment and then spoke, "I don’t know how to put it. When she first heard I was making a movie, she kept contacting me, hinting about what kind of film I was making and whether the female lead had been decided. But once she found out it was a low-budget web drama, she vanished, as if afraid I’d ask her to be the lead. I understand why she did it, but it didn’t feel right. If the same thing happened with you, you wouldn’t act in it either, but you wouldn’t just disappear."
Zhou Yun nodded, "I would directly refuse you and tell you to dream on."
Wei Heyun laughed.
"Of course, if you offered me a script for a low-budget web drama that was fantastic, I’d act in it," Zhou Yun said. "Many low-budget web dramas turn out to be classics."
Wei Heyun: "Hold on, I’m not that talented."
The two chatted for a while.
After having a meal, they left the restaurant.
"Did you drive?" Wei Heyun asked.
Zhou Yun said, "I drove here, but I had some drinks, so I can’t drive myself. I’ve already called someone to pick me up."
Wei Heyun said, "I need a driver too. Hey, it was nice chatting with you today."
"Of course, don’t you know who I am?" Zhou Yun laughed, then thought for a moment and said, "Wei Heyun, if you really want to continue doing this, you might want to talk more with me and Song Chi. Even though we can only converse from an actor’s perspective, having genuine companions by your side on any path makes it a more determined one. I realize now that I’ve become more invested in the film industry because I’ve met many like-minded people. Their passion, respect, and dedication for acting have inspired me. And don’t always think low-budget web dramas are bad. When I choose scripts, I never consider the investment size. What’s good is good, and what’s not is not. Classics can be made with a million, and disasters with ten billion. There are countless examples in history, and I’m sure there are many actors like me."
Wei Heyun nodded, raised his right hand, formed a fist, and bumped Zhou Yun’s shoulder.
"We’ll talk later. I’m off to bed."
Clearly, Wei Heyun felt much better and relieved, shedding a lot of the unhappiness that had been weighing him down.
Suddenly, at that moment, Zhou Yun heard a scream.
"What are you doing—"
It was the scream of a young girl.
Zhou Yun turned to look.
A little way off, a blonde girl was struggling with a man who was grabbing her arm.
Zhou Yun looked and realized the blonde girl was Luna, whom she met when returning from the United States.
She said to Wei Heyun, "I need your help, I know this girl!"
As soon as Zhou Yun spoke, Wei Heyun was already rushing forward, which startled Zhou Yun.
Wei Heyun rushed ahead, grabbing the man’s hand holding the girl, and glared fiercely, "What are you doing!"
The man, whose cheeks were visibly red, obviously drunk, frowned and glared at Wei Heyun, even more ferociously, cursing, "Who the hell are you! Why are you meddling with me? I’m telling you, kid, mind your own business, get lost if you don’t want trouble!"
Wei Heyun laughed angrily.
He cursed, "You’ve got some nerve playing rogue in front of me!" 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
He turned to Luna and asked, "Do you know this person?"
He spoke in Chinese, which Luna didn’t understand at all.
She looked at the man who suddenly appeared to save her, terrified yet holding onto a lifeline.
"Help me!" she said, "Help me..."
Wei Heyun understood.
With his other hand, he punched the drunk man, causing him to lose grip.
Zhou Yun quickly grabbed Luna, pulling her to his side.
"Luna, are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"
Luna turned around, seeing Zhou Yun, her face filled with shock.
"Zhou Yun!" Luna exclaimed, her eyes wide with both surprise and relief, "I’m, I’m not hurt, but suddenly this man came up and stopped me, talking to me in words I couldn’t understand. I was terrified, wanted to leave, but he kept pulling me."
Zhou Yun nodded, pulling Luna behind him, saying, "It’s okay, don’t worry, he won’t harm you."
Over there, Wei Heyun had already started fighting with the man.
Though calling it a fight, it was more like Wei Heyun teaching the man a lesson.
Seeing it was enough, Zhou Yun called out to Wei Heyun, "Enough, don’t really hurt him!"
It would be a hassle if things escalated.
Wei Heyun punched the man’s stomach one more time, making him groan in pain, still cursing, "Just wait, you’ll see when I bring my people..."
Wei Heyun spat at his face and stood up.
He said to Zhou Yun, "Let’s go."
After running into Luna and dealing with this incident, Zhou Yun couldn’t just directly go home.
She and Wei Heyun took Luna to a nearby café to sit down.
Zhou Yun first took Luna to the restroom to freshen up a bit.
"Where’s your dad?" Zhou Yun asked.
Luna shook her head, "He’s been working a lot, and I just wanted to take a walk by myself, didn’t expect to run into this kind of thing."
Her eyes were still red with grievance.
Zhou Yun held Luna’s hand and led her back outside to sit down, saying, "Luckily, nothing serious happened. Running into a drunk like that could have been dangerous."
Luna suddenly glanced at Wei Heyun secretly.
The young girl’s cheeks were slightly red.
Zhou Yun noticed and felt a twinge in her heart.
Oh no, could it be that Wei Heyun’s act of heroism just moved the young girl?
As Zhou Yun thought about this, Wei Heyun suddenly said, "You should contact your dad. Something like this happened, and no matter how busy he is, he should come once."
Luna shook her head, saying, "He’s too busy, I don’t want to bother him."
Wei Heyun frowned with confusion, "No matter how busy, wouldn’t he accompany his daughter after something like this?"
