The Luciente took root in Aeliz City for decades. They knew the streets even more than the government.

Tommy ordered his capos to go out with a few men to search for Ash Crawford.

The group stayed in the casino to have dinner with Tommy and his men. They socialized while the Luciente looked for Ash.

The group gambled a little bit after that.

The Casino was beginning to be crowded as patrons arrived. Still, the center of attention was Selina’s group.

The patrons couldn’t help but look over to the table where the mafia patriarch was and the two lovely ladies that took all the spotlight.

"Who is that? Tommy’s new toys?" A gambler asked the staff.

The staff widened their eyes. "Don’t ever say that! They’re friends of our casino. Don’t let any of the Luciente hear that or you’re finished!"

"I was just joking!"

The black cat had a nap on the ceiling the entire time and didn’t care about anything. He really didn’t need to do much since he had so many capable servants.

Then he heard a laugh so annoying he had to wake up.

A new guest had arrived. He came with a lot of people around him. Both male and female.

He was very entitled too as he ordered an entire room for himself.

Mater observed the man and smiled.

’That one is very familiar. Didn’t he have some sort of drama with Evelynn in the past?’

The man in question was Walter Smith. A very famous actor that once tried to seduce Evelynn. She rejected him of course. However, there were still rumors of them going anywhere.

For a while, people even thought that Evelynn was the one that went after him and got rejected. In the biopic, Jean even said that Evelynn was depressed for a long time because of this.

The black cat stroked his whiskers, "Why do I have a feeling that he is connected to Evelynn’s death?"

Jean said that Evelynn died because of an overdose. But Mater knew that Evelynn failed to become a wraith because she had no resentment. She died a peaceful death.

Still, that didn’t mean that there were no malicious attempts toward Evelynn.

The black cat decided to observe Walter.

Walter saw Tommy immediately.

"Hey, my man!" The actor came and greeted Tommy.

"Hey, Walter!" They dapped each other.

Walter was a high spending customer and had certain influence inside the film industry so Tommy had a certain respect for him.

"Can you introduce me to your friends here?" Walter said.

"They are friends of mine. This is Aurora. This is Selina." Tommy said.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Aurora."

Walter grabbed Aurora’s hand and was going to kiss it like a gentleman. But Aurora retreated her hand back.

"Sorry. I don’t like people touching me."

Walter was as smiley as ever. "It’s alright, Aurora. My mistake. Well then, I hope you have a fun time here. I’ll take my leave."

He left. There wasn’t anything that was bad about him and he was a gentleman through and through.

"Oh? Such good acting skills." Mater smirked.

Crow observed Walter left. Normal people couldn’t sense it. But all the Psychics could sense the malevolence inside Walter.

"Please excuse him. He has a very big ego." Tommy said. "He is a famous actor after all."

"My Master is interested in him, Tommy." Crow whispered. "The man might be connected to the death of our member."

Tommy squinted his eyes. He watched as Walter went to his private room.

As much of a good customer Walter was, Tommy prioritized his ally even more. He called a boy over and whispered to his ear.

"Find everything you can about Walter." Tommy said.

"On it, boss." The man nodded and left.

"An enemy of my friend is my enemy." Tommy said. "If he is related somehow, I will help you bring him down."

Aurora smiled, "You’re a smart man, Tommy. May I ask, what are your chances of reaching Disaster Level?" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Tommy chuckled, "Diaster Level is prodigy level, Miss Aurora. I might be a trained killer. But I’m not talented."

"Who knows, Tommy. Maybe we can help you reach Diaster." Aurora shrugged.

Tommy’s men found Ash. Ash felt that someone was going for her, so she packed her things and escaped immediately.

She was currently staying inside a motel off the highway of Aeliz.

"Ugh! You bastard Leonard! Why can’t you just leave me be!"

Leonard was her ex-husband.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

"Who’s there?" Ash said.

"Room services!" The man outside said.

"For a motel?" Ash questioned.

The man outside knew his lie was discovered. He immediately slammed the door.

Ash pushed into the door and screamed.

"Help me! Someone help me!"

"No one is here to save you, Ash!"

The man pushed the door open. Ash fell to the ground.

He aimed a gun at her face. "Now be a good little girl and do as I say."

Ash was in tears. She nodded.

The man grabbed her hair and pulled her to the parking lots. He stuffed her into the trunk and got into his car.

"Mission accomplished."

The man drove out of the driveway. Another car was going in. It stopped him.

"Hey! Move out, asshole!" The man shouted.

Then a knock on his window.

"Huh?" He looked over to see a mustache man looking at him.

The mustache man was rather skinny with a bald head.

"What do you want?" The man knew something wasn’t right.

"Where’s the girl, mate?" The mustache man smiled.

The man widened his eyes. He pulled out his gun.

The mustache man already pointed his gun at the driver’s seat. He pulled the trigger and put holes into the man.

The man died within seconds.

The mustache man could hear feminine sobs in the trunk.

The men in the other car got out and approached the mustache man.

"Where’s the girl, Jax?" A man said.

"Probably in the trunk. Let’s pop it."

Jax opened the trunk. Ash growled and resisted as much as she could.

"Easy there. We aren’t here to hurt you."

But Ash didn’t believe them. She screamed as Jax removed the tape around her mouth.

"Relax, mate. We’re with Selina."

That name calmed her down. "Selina? As in Selina Isles?"

"I don’t know her last name but there aren’t too many Selina around. She sent us to find you."

"But why? Why is she helping me?" Ash widened her eyes.

"You have to find that out for yourself, mate. Come with us. We’ll drive you back to Aeliz."

"I can’t!" Ash shook her head. "People are coming after me!"

Jax chuckled, "Look, mate. We aren’t Selina’s men. We’re hired by the Luciente. You know them?"

Ash was even more confused. She shook her head.

"The point is. Your friend, Selina, is very connected. And you’re under her protection. No one is going to mess with you, love. Or else they will end up like that guy."

Jax pointed the gun lazily at the bloody man still sitting on the driver’s seat.
