Capturing the Young Doctor's Heart: Mr. Big Shot Won't Let Me Go-Chapter 29: Only Considerate Toward You
Claire Prescott shook her head.
Then, she saw him pick up the bottle of Mosquito Repellent Dew from the table and spray it on her.
A light mist fell on her skin, feeling fresh and cool.
His actions were gentle and meticulous.
It still gave her the feeling of being cared for by him.
She couldn’t help but ask, "Are you always so attentive to everyone?"
Keane Lowell paused, looked into her clear eyes, and asked, "Have you seen me be this attentive to anyone else?"
The implied meaning: Only attentive to her.
Seeing her fall silent.
He put away the mosquito repellent and gently informed, "There will be a meteor shower around ten o’clock tonight."
Meteor shower...
Claire’s bright eyes flickered, and she instinctively looked up at the vast starry sky.
From her position, there were no obstructions in her view, the wind was clean and pure, refreshing her senses.
There was no light pollution in the mountains, and the night sky was pure without a trace of color, leaving only a sky full of shimmering stars, like jewels scattered meticulously by divinity across the world.
She remembered that when she was young, her grandmother told her, "During a supernova explosion, some heavy elements are created, and these elements eventually form the Earth and life, so our bodies are also made of stardust."
She exclaimed, "So aren’t we all stars?"
Her grandmother smiled and nodded, "When we gaze at the starry sky, perhaps among the myriad of stars, there are the eyes of someone deeply in love with you, silently watching over us from the distant sky."
Later, she took this as her spiritual support.
Despite knowing very well that those who leave this world ultimately return to dust, every time she looked up at the stars, she couldn’t help but miss her mother.
She gathered her thoughts and gradually set her eyes on that astronomical telescope, seeking his opinion, "I’d like to try that telescope, is it okay?"
"Go ahead."
However, the equipment was too advanced, and after tinkering with it alone for a long time, she couldn’t figure it out, so she had to seek help from Keane, "I don’t know how to use it."
The man walked over to her, his tall figure enveloping her so firmly that only his shadow could be seen on the ground.
"Help me turn on the computer."
"Okay." Claire moved a step and sat down beside the computer.
Turning her head, she saw him standing tall beside her, focused on adjusting the equipment.
She hadn’t expected him to be familiar with these things.
But thinking it over, being born in such an illustrious family, having these skills wasn’t surprising, and he did not seem like someone uneducated.
So, driven by curiosity, she silently opened her mobile browser and searched for "Lowell-Kystral Group" to see its business operations.
The signal in the mountains was weak, and it took her a while to load the page.
Before she could read the content, a shadow fell behind her, and she hurriedly closed her phone.
Then she felt Keane behind her, leaning over, opened a device on the computer with his arms encircling her.
"Doing something naughty?"
His deep, magnetic voice fell from above her head, causing a gentle tremor in her heart.
She shook her head and said, "No."
Surrounded by his scent, she dared not move an inch, her gaze fixed on the computer screen, watching all his operations.
Keane handed her a cable, "Connect it to the computer."
His warm and steady voice naturally made her compliant, helping without rush.
In no time, the image from the telescope appeared on the computer screen. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
It was a static and blurry star cluster.
Keane straightened up and made some adjustments in front of the telescope.
The star cluster on the screen gradually became clear.
The lens zoomed from far to near, looking like a treasure chest full of various gems, dazzling and brilliant.
Claire let out a wow of amazement, her heart’s shadows completely swept away, her beautiful eyes shining with a brilliance like starlight.
She looked up at the person beside her, excitedly asking, "Where are these stars located?"
Keane took a star pointer and pointed to the sky, telling her, "This is the Hercules Globular Cluster."
Claire was unfamiliar with these names and didn’t understand much, but she found the sights breathtaking, making her feel as if her eyes were about to be pregnant, "I want to see from your perspective."
"Come over."
Claire moved over, and Keane immediately guided her hand, standing behind her, teaching her hand in hand how to adjust the distance.
Looking through the telescope was indeed different, giving her a sense of immersion.
Keane gradually let go of her, his eyes watching the computer screen as she operated.
For a long time, she finally emerged from the brilliant world, looking amazed at him, "It’s truly amazing."
Keane smiled slightly, "Have you had enough?"
Claire shook her head, "I still want to see more."
The next moment, Keane handed her the star pointer, "Tell me which star you want to see, and I’ll help you find it."
Claire held the pointer and looked at the stars above, then pointed to the brightest one, "I want to see this one."
In the time that followed, wherever Claire pointed, Keane adjusted.
Claire was absorbed in the computer screen until the waiter brought the food, she then temporarily put away her enthusiasm.
Returning to the dining table.
She curiously asked the person opposite, "How do you precisely find the planets I want to see? Are you an astronomy enthusiast?"
"I used to study it."
"This is my first time seeing stars up close like this, thank you, President Lowell." Her tone was still jubilant, visibly happy and satisfied.
Keane looked at her gently, "As long as you’re happy."
Watching her alternate between taking bites of meat and fruit wine, eating with relish.
Keane placed some light dishes in her bowl, "Don’t you traditional Chinese medicine practitioners always say to eat less barbecue?"
"They say to eat less, I haven’t had any for two or three months, eating a little occasionally is fine."
Saying this, Claire offered him a skewer of lamb, "Try it, it’s quite delicious."
Keane took a bite of the skewer but didn’t eat any more.
"Do you have work tomorrow?" he asked.
"Tomorrow is Sunday, a day off."
"Just one day off a week?"
"Yeah."
"Then stay here tonight and go back tomorrow."
Without any hesitation, Claire agreed, "Okay."
She was about to mention that she hadn’t brought anything when suddenly a shout emerged from downstairs.
"Keane! I like you!"
Both of them paused, looking at each other.
Such a bold and dramatic confession, typically seen in youthful school scenes, was playing out in this wilderness.
Whether it was the same pronunciation as "Keane," or if the person being confessed to was indeed Keane, anyway, the two of them hearing it together made for an indescribable awkwardness.
"Keane, I like you, would you be my boyfriend?" The girl’s confession was straightforward, her voice piercing the long night with echoes, boldly declaring to the world her affection for him.
