"So it really is… our own bug…"

Watching the insect swarm in outer space methodically transporting the materials, Jade was shaken to her core—both outwardly and inwardly.

"That genius… he actually controls a Propagation Emanator?"

What an utterly shocking, almost unbelievable reality!

Insect swarms were even more chaotic than Nanook's Antimatter Legion.

The Antimatter Legion's destruction at least followed purpose and planning.

They might be a group of lunatics obsessed with annihilation, but they weren't mindless flies crashing around at random.

But insect swarms were different.

They possessed almost no intelligence— only instinct.

And yet now, they were being artificially controlled.

Wasn't that absurd beyond reason?

"It's just a Propagation Emanator. Why are you making such a fuss?"

Herta looked down on Jade's shock with clear disdain.

If a single Propagation Emanator was enough to leave Jade dumbfounded, then what about her, an Emanator of Nous— who was completely and utterly toyed with by Su Ran?

Wasn't that far more shocking?

Insects had no intelligence.

But she, Herta, did.

"Herta, could you perhaps arrange a meeting with the master of the swarm?"

At this point, Jade no longer bothered with refined verbal tactics.

She just wanted to see Su Ran—now.

"Do you have an appointment?"

Herta fired back immediately.

"No…"

Jade remained calm on the surface, but her mind was racing, trying to figure out how to persuade Herta.

It was obvious that No. 83 and No. 85 were on the same side.

If she could convince Herta, then convincing Su Ran wouldn't be too far off.

"No appointment, and you want to meet him?

Do you think we're all just sitting around with nothing better to do?"

Herta knew perfectly well that Su Ran didn't like the company, so she had no qualms about rejecting them on his behalf.

After all, if Su Ran truly wanted to interact with the company, he wouldn't still be using her, his personal sugar mommy, as his primary funding source.

"Then… where do I make an appointment?"

After witnessing what Su Ran was capable of, Jade didn't mind spending more time.

He was worth it.

"I have no idea. Don't tell me you think it's with me?

This is my territory, not his!"

If Su Ran had accepted her proposal earlier, then Herta Space Station could have handled his appointment scheduling.

Unfortunately—he hadn't.

So that idea was dead.

"But he's clearly on your space station."

"Then go find him yourself."

Herta didn't stop her.

If Jade truly had the confidence, she was welcome to go search for him on her own.

"…."

Faced with Herta's apparent openness, Jade fell silent.

A reckless interruption would be a terrible move.

Topaz had already paid that price once.

Jade had no intention of repeating that mistake.

It was better to wait on the space station.

There would eventually be a chance encounter— assuming he wasn't in a hurry to leave.

Watching the swarm move materials was boring.

Herta was just about to turn around and leave when a new development caught her attention.

In addition to the insect swarm, another group of special insects appeared near Herta Space Station.

They were none other than the construction nanite swarm Herta had previously seen at Su Ran's space station.

Those nanites were now cooperating with the Propagation insects, assembling, shaping, and fusing structures together.

The sight left Herta utterly stunned.

"Didn't you say you hadn't even created the project folder yet?!

Why is construction already underway?!"

She had thought Su Ran would wait until she joined in before starting the design process.

But instead, the moment the materials arrived— he began building?!

She immediately switched to a puppet closer to the office and sprinted over.

"Su Ran! Su Ran! What's going on?!

Why did you start construction already?!"

She hadn't even gotten on the ride yet!

How was he already finishing things on his own again?

Didn't he promise to bring her along?!

Watching Herta rush back in a panic, Raiden Makoto calmly opened a bag of chips, ready to enjoy the show.

"These past few days we've been staying on your space station.

I figured sitting around was pointless, so I tried tinkering a bit— and somehow I ended up finishing the design draft."

He dragged a holographic screen in front of Herta.

On it were dense formulas, parameters, and not just one Stargate model, but several.

There was more than enough there for her to slowly digest.

"But you didn't tell me!"

Showing her now meant she had zero sense of participation.

It felt like a group assignment where she did nothing, and someone else finished everything and just slapped her name on it.

Others might be thrilled.

But she was Herta.

One of the smartest minds in the universe.

How could she accept being a freeloader?

Annoyed as she was, she still began reviewing the formulas and parameters seriously.

And then—

She understood almost none of it.

Which was… normal.

This wasn't a language— the Synesthesia Beacon couldn't translate it, and that was expected.

Even the foundational formulas didn't exist anywhere in the universe.

They were all Su Ran's original creations.

Even for a genius like Herta, without learning the fundamentals first, there was no way to grasp the advanced equations directly.

It was like skipping elementary math and jumping straight into advanced calculus.

Of course it wouldn't work.

"I did tell you.

But you were busy testing the Simulated Universe and brushed me off."

Herta froze.

So in the end… this was her fault?

"Then you could've paused my Simulated Universe test!"

That could be done anytime!

But missing Su Ran's research?

That was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

"At the time you were completely focused.

If I interrupted you and you got mad, what then?

You are the owner of the space station, after all.

I'm just a guest."

"…." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Herta was speechless.

She was already being completely dominated by Su Ran.

And he was worried she might get angry?

She was the one afraid of him getting mad!

Even on her own turf, Su Ran was the one person she absolutely couldn't afford to offend.
