That one revelation shocked He Juan so much that he could not return to his senses until A–Mu sent his signal. Even as he walked toward the bar with Marius, his mind continued to whirl with countless questions.

Mu Yuze was nesting? Since when? He had been hoarding He Juan’s clothes even before He Juan returned, so it should have been almost six months already...?

He Juan used to study everything about Omega in case his little brother turned into one, but it was almost a decade ago! Whatever he had crammed in his mind had long been forgotten by the passage of time, so much that he never realized anything amiss with Mu Yuze’s behavior at all...

Damn it! To think that Jia Molei had even warned him about the possibility of Mu Yuze manifesting! However, he had been so busy with raiding one secret facility after another that he totally forgot about this warning until now.

Wait a moment... did it mean that Xiao Ze was going to manifest as an Omega?

He Juan’s pupils contracted and he felt as if an invisible hand was squeezing his heart, so tight that he almost could not breathe. Coldness rushed from the soles of his feet to the top of his head, sending a burst of shivers down his spine.

Sensing the shift in his breathing, Marius cast him a concerned look and covertly patted his back in passing, "Are you okay? Don’t think about it too much. Maybe I am mistaken. Mu Yuze is a Beta, isn’t he? He probably just slept with your clothes out of habit."

He Juan silently shook his head and offered the blonde man a tight-lipped smile, knowing that it was Marius’ attempt to comfort him. "Thank you, M," he said. For making him realize an important thing, for slapping him to the hard truth. Otherwise he was going to commit another mistake again.

If... If Mu Yuze really were to manifest as an omega, then there would be so many things he needed to prepare. But now was not the time to mull over this.

Taking a deep breath, He Juan forced himself to push the chaotic thoughts to the back of his mind, at least for now. He would begin his preparations once he had completed the undercover mission tonight. Right now, he needed to focus on capturing Jay and uncovering the secrets he had been hiding.

Twilight Haven soon came into sight, and Marius silently lifted his hand to kiss the Buddhist beads on his wrist. "May the Buddha bless us tonight."

"Yes," He Juan agreed. "We need all the luck we can get."

They approached the bouncer, who only took a cursory glance at them before granting them entry. He Juan and Marius exuded an unmistakable commanding Alpha aura that no longer required verification. "Welcome to Twilight Haven," he said, holding the door open for them.

Blasts of music and colorful flashing lights welcomed them as soon as they stepped in. It was the weekend, and thus the bar was crowded with people. A sea of bodies were merrily twisting on the dance floor, while the male DJ on the platform skillfully mixed beats, occasionally taking a drag from his cigarette.

He Juan and Marius exchanged a quick glance before they proceeded to make their way to the lounge.

"I will have a martini..." He Juan flashed a smile at the bartender while observing him. It was a man in his late twenties with numerous piercings on both ears, and a small skull tattoo on his neck. His gaze finally fell on the man’s name tag. "...Rei. Is that your name?"

"No, Sir," Rei replied with a coy smile as he prepared He Juan’s drink. "We use nicknames here. Adds to the mystery, don’t you think?" He placed the glass before He Juan and slid it forward, whispering, "I haven’t seen you around before, handsome. First time here?"

He Juan accepted the glass and laughed, taking a sip out of it. He let the alcohol burn its way down his throat as he swept his gaze over the bartender’s body, causing the man to flush. "Nice guess," he smiled. "I am indeed a newcomer. I heard there’s a... what is it again?" He finally turned the bartender’s attention to Marius, whose face was half buried beneath his glasses. After taking a closer look, Rei belatedly realized that this man was also equally gorgeous, albeit a little nerdy. His eyes lit up as he offered Marius a drink with a flirtatious smile on his face.

Marius flicked a helpless glance at He Juan, seeing through his intention at a glance. "A special service," he said with a meaningful smile at the bartender. "For Alphas."

"Ah..." Understanding dawned on Rei, and he offered a sweet smile to the two men. "Please wait here for a while. I will fetch my manager."

After two minutes, Rei returned with two people in tow. One of them donned a formal dress suit with a golden name tag that indicated his higher status, while beside him was their spy for tonight, A–Mu.

Had He Juan not known about A-Mu’s condition from Jia Molei, he wouldn’t have noticed anything unusual from the way A-Mu had dressed. He was clad in a sheer black cheongsam that accentuated his pale skin, with a teasing slit on his thigh. His hair was styled and swept to the side, and subtle makeup enhanced his features. A cat-like grin played on his red lips as he made eye contact with He Juan.

"Welcome to Twilight Haven," the manager surnamed Qiao greeted He Juan and Marius politely. "I heard you two are first-timers. Would you like to browse our catalog first—"

"No need," A–Mu cut the manager off, then he purposely sashayed his hips as he made his way to He Juan, sitting himself on top of the Alpha’s lap. "He’s here for me. Right?"

He Juan’s brows subtly furrowed, but fortunately his minute reaction was concealed by the quick flashing lights.

A–Mu leaned forward to whisper to his ear, "Don’t act like this, XIU. You’re hurting my feelings. Play along with me, and I will bring you to Jay."

At the same time, the bar’s entrance swung open and a group of adolescent boys stumbled in, among them were Zhong Yun and Mu Yuze.

Zhong Yun spread his arms wide and exclaimed in excitement, "We’re here! Twilight Haven!"
