Chapter 45: Chapter 45: Temptation

It was another Sunday morning. Everett opened his eyes only to be greeted by the beautiful face of his wife. A loving smile appeared on his lips, and he couldn’t resist leaning forward to kiss her.

"Mhm," Zaiyila moaned softly before opening her eyes. When she saw Everett looking at her, she couldn’t help but blush. "Good... good morning," she murmured.

Everett didn’t respond with words. Instead, he leaned in for another kiss. They kissed for a long time before finally pulling away.

"I... I haven’t brushed this morning," Zaiyila commented, her face flushed.

"This isn’t the first time we’re kissing without brushing. But I don’t mind brushing for my Queen," Everett smirked.

Zaiyila blushed even harder. "I... I’ll go and bathe first," she stammered, attempting to run off, but Everett caught her just in time.

"My Queen is shy now?"

"I’m not."

"You’re not?"

"I am."

"You agree."

"I... you tricked me."

"Did I?"

"No."

"See..."

Zaiyila bit her lower lip, her face burning as red as a tomato.

Everett kissed her cheek and chuckled. "My Queen is really cute right now," he murmured as he buried his face in her chest, listening to her racing heartbeat.

Zaiyila had to part her lips slightly to breathe—her poor heart was thudding so furiously it felt like it might leap from her chest.

"Eve, is my heart going to blow up? I can’t seem to control it," Zaiyila said in concern.

Everett’s soft chuckle vibrated against her. He adjusted his position, resting his head on her chest so he could hear and feel her heartbeat even more clearly.

"It’s beating for me," he remarked and gently rolled her over so she was lying on top of him. "Look into my eyes," he murmured.

Zaiyila, like a charmed creature, obediently gazed into his eyes—but instead of calming down, her heartbeat only grew more frantic.

"Eve, it’s not calming down. I don’t want to die of heart explosion... I haven’t loved you enough yet," she whispered, worried.

Everett smiled gently and pulled her head down, kissing her again. His free hand pressed lightly against her chest, as though trying to soothe her wild heart.

"How is it now?" he inquired softly when the kiss ended.

"It’s better," Zaiyila replied, her gaze falling to his lips. She subconsciously licked hers.

"What... seems like my Queen didn’t get enough," Everett teased.

Zaiyila shut her eyes in embarrassment and buried her face in his chest. "I’m not thirsty for another kiss," she mumbled.

"Well, that must be what you really want, because I didn’t even mention kissing," Everett chuckled.

Zaiyila lightly bit his nipple, making him jolt at the intense sensation.

Oblivious to the effect she had, Zaiyila continued trailing her hands over his bare chest. "You’re so... so muscular! Um... you have a total of eight abs. This is just awesome!" she exclaimed, kissing his stomach.

Everett was stunned. Now, it was his turn to feel his heart race. Something within him stirred—something dangerous, but in the most delightful way.

"Eve, you’re so strong," Zaiyila praised, still pressing kisses to his abs and occasionally nibbling his nipple.

Everett was getting too excited, and before he could stop it, his horn revealed itself uncontrollably.

Zaiyila lifted her head to say something, then froze with wide eyes.

Everett realized his demon side had emerged. Panic surged through him—"was she scared of how he looked now?" Just as he was about to explain, Zaiyila burst into sweet laughter, leaving him speechless.

"This... this is exactly like in my dream! Your horn—it’s so beautiful," she gushed and leaned forward, planting a kiss on it.

Everett’s mind shattered—his last thread of restraint snapped. He rolled Zaiyila beneath him, his body burning with desire.

"My Queen, it’s not wise to play with fire like this."

"What fire?" Zaiyila looked confused. "I’m just admiring my husband’s body. Is that considered fire? Hmph. You don’t want me to touch you?"

Her gaze locked on his horn.

Everett leaned closer, just inches from her lips. "Of course, my body belongs to my Queen. She can do whatever she wants with me," he declared.

Zaiyila grinned. "Can I touch them?" she asked, pointing at his horns.

Instead of replying, Everett sealed her lips with another kiss.

Zaiyila responded eagerly, her hands slowly reaching his head, gently caressing his horns.

They were incredibly sensitive, and being touched by the woman he loved made Everett even more excited. His movements became rougher, and finding her nightwear an obstacle, he swiftly tore it away, leaving her bare beneath him.

"H-He..." Zaiyila’s eyes widened. "Is he going to do that? Is it because of his horn? Ha! I finally get it!" she screamed inwardly in glee, surrendering completely. Her hands resumed their sinful work of stroking Everett’s horns, which only fueled his intensity.

"Yes! Finally, it’s going to happen!" she thought excitedly and helped him unfasten his pants.

Everett’s mind was blank—he wanted nothing more than to claim her. If this was seduction, then Zaiyila had succeeded. There was no resistance left. He broke the kiss and trailed his lips down her neck, leaving deep, visible hickeys before moving to her full, awaiting blossoms. Without hesitation, he latched onto the left one, drawing a loud moan from Zaiyila.

That moan was a dangerous trigger.

Zaiyila was in a haze of pleasure. Not wanting to lose the moment, she continued to caress Everett’s horns—but in her dazed state, she gripped them tightly while moaning louder.

Everett was as hard as steel, his desire peaking. His body was hot, and just as he was about to claim her—

"Voom! Voom! Voom!"

Zaiyila’s phone vibrated loudly, snapping Everett out of his trance. His horns disappeared instantly.

"Nooo!" Zaiyila reached out in despair, but it was no use. She threw her head back on the bed, defeated.

Everett’s mind cleared. He looked at Zaiyila’s teary eyes. "Eve, please conti—"

Before she could finish, he kissed her and then pulled away.

"I’ll go to the bathroom first," he muttered and vanished before Zaiyila could stop him.

Zaiyila gritted her teeth and punched the bed in frustration, scattering her hair wildly. She glared at the phone that kept vibrating.

If it hadn’t been a special gift from Everett, she might’ve smashed it into pieces already.
