BRAND NEW WORLD-Chapter 66: A New Dungeon We Created
After the success of the first day, the second and third days passed just as smoothly. Not a single unpleasant incident occurred.
Nearly everyone among us had begun to gain their own circle of admirers.
And the one with the largest following was, without question, Daisy.
In just two days, she had already become the idol of everyone who visited.
All because of her irresistibly adorable behavior.
On the second day, members of the royal family did not make an appearance. It was, after all, the capital’s anniversary, and they had duties at the palace—welcoming distinguished guests from across the land.
Radhimar, Verni, and Lenti, who had previously helped, were also absent, occupied with greeting visiting dignitaries.
Rania and Elrik, however, continued assisting here.
As for Bartasz, he was overwhelmed with requests for recipes at the Merchant Guild, leaving him unable to attend.
This time, though, we had additional help.
Elise and the others volunteered to assist, ensuring that we were not shorthanded.
Customers arrived from all walks of life—commoners, adventurers, even nobles.
To serve the nobles, we assigned Rima and Lusserina.
Not only because of Rima’s reputation, but also because they could maintain a cold composure even before high-ranking guests.
They were like flowers that could not be reached.
"Haah... the last customer has finally left," Elise sighed in relief.
Phina, Lynn, Al, and Kyle slumped down, exhausted.
"Thank you for your hard work," Lusserina said, handing drinks to everyone.
While the others rested, I went to the equipment room to check the inventory—what had been sold, and what remained.
As I was inspecting the ’common’ section, a sudden dizziness struck me.
The room around me warped.
Light swept across my vision.
"...."
"Lun..."
"Luna!"
A faint male voice echoed.
As my sight cleared, the face before me—
"Lun, let’s gather the ’junk’ items from various players," said an elf with a smile.
"Junk items? What for?"
"We’re going to create our own beginner dungeon."
The moment I saw his smile—
The world snapped back.
I was once again inside the wooden room.
My heart pounded violently. My breathing grew uneven.
That memory...
Without hesitation, I took out a map from my spatial storage and spread it across the table.
Even after two hundred years, the topography should not have changed.
My gaze settled on a point northwest of the kingdom.
Could he... be there?
That Night
After a full day of work, everyone fell asleep almost instantly after dinner.
I, however, stood alone on the balcony.
A gentle breeze brushed against my skin as I gazed at the night view of Dewata Lake, the moonlight shimmering across its surface.
Lost in thought—
The sound of a sliding door broke the silence.
Footsteps approached.
"The view is beautiful..." Rima said softly.
"You’re right... even the reflection of the moon dances on the water."
"...."
"Rima... you haven’t gone to sleep?"
"Same as you. Something’s bothering you, isn’t it?" she asked.
"...."
"Let me guess. The Forbidden Land?"
"Close..."
"Then what is it?"
"...I think I’ve found a clue about where that person is."
"Really?!" Rima exclaimed, gripping my shoulders.
"Ah... sorry," she quickly said, letting go.
Silence fell between us.
Only the wind and the rustling leaves filled the air.
"So... when will you go?"
"I don’t know..."
The moment I found that clue, my chest tightened.
A flood of emotions surged within me—
Joy.
Sadness.
Anger.
Longing.
"You need to go as soon as possible," Rima said firmly, taking my hand.
"You can’t let this chance slip away."
She was right.
The sooner I went, the sooner I would find my answer.
"Thank you, Rim. You truly are the best sister."
"Haha, of course I am," she replied with a sly smile.
"Well then, I’ll head back to sleep," she said before walking inside.
"I’ll follow soon."
Two Days Later
After spending the previous day preparing, I now stood in the backyard, ready to depart.
"Lun, if you find him, drag him back here," Rima said with a mischievous grin.
"Mom... be careful," Daisy said, her face filled with worry.
"Don’t worry. I’ll come back. Take care of the house while I’m gone, alright?" I said, winking at her.
"Mm!" Daisy nodded firmly.
"Then I’m off."
Golden magic enveloped my body—
And I vanished.
Moments later, the scenery shifted.
From the backyard, I now stood in a vast grassland, bordered by a lush green forest.
This was the place where Rima and I last encountered Randgris.
After confirming my location, I took out my map once more.
Once I determined my destination, I stored it away—
And took flight toward the northwest.
After ten minutes of flying, the terrain shifted into a vast desert.
Five minutes later, I spotted structures in the distance.
A small town?
I landed at its entrance.
The buildings resembled those from old cowboy films—simple, rugged, and worn by time.
Walking through the sparse streets, I eventually entered what appeared to be a tavern.
Inside, the scent of aged wood lingered in the air, accompanied by the faint creaking of the floorboards.
Behind the counter, a muscular man wiped a glass.
"Welcome! How can I help you?" he asked.
"Excuse me... is there a dungeon nearby?"
The man’s hand froze.
Our eyes met.
Was that... surprise?
"Are you planning to enter the dungeon?" he asked.
I nodded.
"In that case, you’ll need to become an adventurer first. There’s a guild not far from here. You can register there."
"I see. Thank you."
I placed a silver coin on the counter and left.
...
Could she be... a player?
The man wondered.
Following his directions, I found the Adventurers’ Guild.
Stepping inside, I noticed there were only a few adventurers present—likely due to the remote location.
As I approached the reception desk—
"Miss Luna?"
I turned.
"Clive!"
Clive stood there, accompanied by a cat-eared girl.
"Hello, Clive. How have you been?"
"I’m well, Miss Luna. What brings you here?" he asked.
"I’m here to obtain permission to enter the dungeon. What about you?"
"The dungeon? May we join you?" Clive asked.
"Join me? That’s fine..."
"Hey! What are you thinking? Why would you want to go with her?" the cat-eared girl whispered.
"The more people we have, the higher our chances of survival," Clive replied quietly.
"Miss Luna, this is Claire. She’s my younger sister," Clive said.
"Nice to meet you. I’m Luna."
"Hmph!" Claire snorted, turning her head away.
"You’re lucky we’re accompanying you. We’re well-known B-rank adventurers."
"Claire! Don’t say that," Clive whispered.
What’s with her...? Is she just having a bad day?
"My apologies... she’s just overly enthusiastic," Clive said awkwardly.
"Oh, right. Have you obtained your permit?" he added.
"Permit?"
"You can get one from the receptionist."
After speaking with the receptionist, I received a wooden plaque—a form of identification.
"Where is the dungeon located?"
"I’ll guide you," Clive said.
We headed south of the town.
After five minutes of walking, we arrived at a cave entrance guarded by two sentries.
"Show your plaque at that post," Clive instructed.
After reporting in, we were granted entry.
As I turned—
I saw a familiar figure entering the dungeon, dressed in a maid’s outfit.
Without hesitation, I ran after her.
"Miss Luna! What’s wrong?" Clive called out.
I descended the earthen steps of the cave.
At the bottom, I saw a familiar figure walking gracefully ahead.
"Anandita!" I called out.
She stopped and turned.
A black-haired catgirl in a maid outfit stood before me, holding a picnic basket.
Back in the game, Anandita was a reward NPC—summoned using a bell given by the developers to players who had logged over ten thousand hours.
"Lady Luna!" she replied.
I approached her.
"It really is you... How have you been?"
"I am well, my lady. And you?" she asked.
"I’m searching for Ringga. Is he here?"
"He is, my lady."
"May I accompany you?"
"With pleasure."
"May I call you Ana? Anandita is a bit long."
"Of course, my lady."
"Miss Luna!" someone called.
Ah... Clive.
I had almost forgotten about him.
After introducing Anandita and briefly explaining the situation, we formed a group and proceeded deeper into the dungeon.
The dungeon consisted of multiple floors.
The first resembled an Egyptian labyrinth—likely due to its desert location.
However, upon reaching the second floor, the environment changed completely.
A vast, snow-covered field.
A stark contrast to the scorching sands above.
During our journey, we encountered numerous monsters—but Clive and Claire swiftly defeated all.
Clive wielded twin daggers, while Claire fired arrows with precision.
Ana cut down any stragglers.
"Watch and learn from a true adventurer!" Claire declared proudly.
For some reason, she seemed to harbor hostility toward me.
But I chose not to dwell on it.
At last, we arrived before the boss’s chamber on the third floor—the lowest level of this dungeon.
As we opened the door—
Someone was already waiting.
A draconian.
A massive sword rested upon his back.
Level 400...?
Why would such a being exist in a beginner dungeon?
"The rest of you may pass," the draconian said, raising his blade,
"But not Miss Luna."
Ah... just as I thought.
I let out a quiet sigh.
"This must be Ringga’s doing..." I murmured.
Drawing my sword—
I prepared for battle.
