The person Anne recognized to be Brian, the man Clara had sent her to the other day, strode into the department, his face evidently reflecting a kind of anger that showed he was holding a grudge.

What he’d done to her that evening was still fresh in Anne’s memories, she would have reported him for it if she hadn’t ended up getting a revelation that changed her life the night that incident happened.

Brian smugly strode over to stand next to Rebecca,

"Why are you looking so surprised to see me, did you truly believe that I would let what you did the other day pass?"

Anne scoffed incredulously.

"What I did? Are you misunderstanding our situation Mr Brian? You and I both clearly know what happened that night and who crossed a line."

Anne couldn’t believe the man’s guts. She had almost completely forgotten about the whole thing as if it never happened, but the culprit brought himself to her and actually brought up the issue. If she didn’t expose him for the disgusting pervert he was, he would certainly end up harassing another young woman like he’d done to her.

Brian raised his head smugly, showing no trace of fear despite hearing what she said, "Of course only you and I know what happened that night, but why don’t we share it with everyone here as well?"

Saying this, Brian seemed to make a signal to Rebecca who nodded, face still bitter after being slapped like that by Anne.

There was a large projection screen in the department’s meeting room.

"I’m sure everyone here is already curious to see, so why don’t you all follow me to the meeting room?" Rebecca said to everyone before proceeding into the meeting room herself.

Everyone filed in after her, Brian stopped to give Anne a smug look before following the small crowd.

Frowning suspiciously, Anne followed as well.

Just then, Rebecca had plugged something into the projector which began to play a CCTV footage that showed Anne going into Brian’s office.

What shocked Anne was the time stamp showing on the footage, she’d clearly gone to the man’s office at around seven after work hours, but the footage was actually showing that she’d gone at a late hour, past ten.

"For privacy, I do not keep a CCTV camera inside my office. But you can all clearly see the proof that this girl came to my office at such a late hour. Everyone knows how seriously I take my work and I tend to work overtime for days without getting tired, this girl came to me with a complaint about something posted about her on the forum, as you all know I’m not authorized to just take down anything posted on the forum even though I’m in charge of it, but this girl offered me her body in exchange for me to forgo rules and do her bidding."

The way Brian spoke with so much confidence, anyone would believe he was righteous.

Anne was taken aback by the lies he was spewing that she didn’t interrupt him, she just quietly let him speak.

"My wife is a very lovely woman, I’m very satisfied with her and I love my wife very much, why would I look at another woman? I told this girl just that when she made me that dirty offer, I won’t cheat on my wife and I won’t break the rules for anyone, but she actually tried to seduce me. I’m a very honorable man, I stood my ground and sent her out."

He signalled Rebecca who changed the footage to a few minutes after the first one, it showed Anne exiting the man’s office.

Rebecca zoomed in timely, pausing the clip on Anne’s face.

"If you all look correctly, she clearly appears very upset after leaving my office that night. That is clearly because she didn’t get what she went to that office for. I have a lot of respect for women, but women like her with such loose morals, I can never bring myself to look up to them." Brian said looking at Anne with disgust.

Anne chuckled softly before finally saying, "Mr Brian, I’ve had my fair share of meeting shameless people, you’ve made your way to a very high spot on that list. I came to your office that night, but you not only twisted the story, you also accused me of something you committed? You just said you’re married, and I feel so sorry for the woman whoever she might be, a scum of a man like you does not deserve to have a woman in his life not to mention a wife."

"Your sharp words won’t save you today Anne. Mr Brian here just exposed your true character, this isn’t defamation, this is the truth with clear proof." Rebecca cut in.

"Proof? It’s his words against mine. Mr Brian has said his part, so I’ll say mine. This man is a disgusting pervert, yes I went to his office regarding the rumors on the forum, but he demanded a payment before he would help me, and his payment was a very disgusting offer anyone could ever make to a woman."

"Stop lying! If you really went to his office without any bad intentions, why didn’t you go during the day when everyone was still in the office? You went at such a late time because you were willing to give yourself to get what you want. Our company has strict policies, such a disgusting transaction has strict penalties that’ll get both parties tossed out of this company, it’s a good thing Mr Brian didn’t give in to your dirty demands. I advise you start clearing your table, this will be the very last day you’ll be working in this company."

Rebecca spoke each word with the amount of hate she felt for Anne. She couldn’t wait for their office to finally be rid of her.

Ever since Anne arrived at their department, she’d begun losing everything she used to enjoy.

Rebecca didn’t care about the law suit issued on the forum the previous time, after all, this time there was clear proof and with Brian standing steadfast on his words, Anne would undoubtedly be fired from the company this time.

Finally, Rebecca couldn’t wait.
