Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 257: Mia’s Advice
Chapter 257: Chapter 257: Mia’s Advice
Then she smiled softly, a cold but amused smile. "Hmm... interesting question," she said, tapping her chin with her finger.
She tilted her head.
"I’ll make you a deal," Aurora said finally. "If... and I mean IF... every single person you’ve hurt... forgives you completely... I’ll leave you alone."
The boys lifted their heads slowly.
But Aurora’s smile widened, more devilish than before.
"But..." she added, her eyes narrowing, "if even ONE of them refuses to forgive you... Well... you’ll stay mine."
The boys’ hearts sank all over again.
Aurora, feeling satisfied after venting all her anger, turned off her laptop and fell back onto her bed. She stretched out lazily, letting out a deep sigh.
The whole situation with the three boys had been exhausting, but at least she felt like she had gained some control. Still, she was tired. It had been a long day, and all she wanted was some rest. She closed her eyes, thinking she’d just sleep it off.
What she didn’t know, however, was that Spencer, who had been waiting for her message all night, was still staring at his phone in his apartment.
It had been hours since he last checked, and the time passed by slowly. He kept glancing at the screen, hoping that Aurora would finally message him.
But as dawn came and the light started to spill through the window, it hit him — she hadn’t messaged him at all.
His heart sank, and a feeling of frustration bubbled up inside him. Did she not even care that I was angry? he thought, frowning. She’s completely ignoring me.
What kind of girlfriend does that? His jaw clenched as he shook his head.
"Wait... no, not girlfriend. What a mommy I’ve got here," he muttered sarcastically under his breath.
Spencer took a deep breath and sat up, trying to calm himself down. He didn’t want to argue with her in the classroom, not in front of everyone.
It was embarrassing.
But the way she’d been wearing that onesie earlier — it had set him off.
It wasn’t that he had a problem with what she wore; he knew she had the freedom to dress however she wanted. But when she went near Aiden? That was a whole other story.
At first, Spencer had brushed off the rumors about Aurora and Aiden. He thought it was just some petty gossip.
But seeing them together, his stomach twisted with worry.
What if he tries to convince her to sleep with him? The thought gnawed at him, making him feel uneasy. He couldn’t help it.
Aiden had a history of doing things like that with people who showed even the slightest bit of interest in Spencer.
Spencer took a deep breath, standing up with a determined look on his face. He wasn’t going to let this go.
Without hesitation, he decided to confront Aiden. He quickly got dressed, grabbed his stuff, and headed out the door.
When he arrived at the high school, Spencer made a beeline for the area where Aiden usually hung out. It didn’t take long before he spotted him talking with Nash, chatting and laughing like everything was fine.
Spencer marched up to them, not even trying to hide the frustration on his face.
"Aiden," he said sharply, cutting through their conversation.
Aiden looked up, surprised by Spencer’s sudden appearance. His eyes lit up a little, thinking maybe Spencer had come to talk to him, but seeing the anger on Spencer’s face, his smile quickly faded. He knew something was off.
"Can we talk?" Spencer asked, his voice tense.
Aiden’s heart sank. He turned to Nash, who nodded and said, "I’ll give you guys some space," before walking off.
Once they were alone, Spencer’s narrowed eyes locked onto Aiden.
"What were you planning to do with Aurora?" he demanded, his voice low and cold.
Aiden blinked, caught off guard by the question. "What? I’m not planning to do anything with Aurora," he said, trying to stay calm.
Spencer let out a short, bitter laugh.
"Really? With your history, it’s pretty clear that you might try something. And don’t think I’m stupid, Aiden. What’s to stop you from trying to sleep with her, huh?"
Aiden’s face flushed with anger. "I would never do that! I just see Aurora as a sister!" he yelled, voice rising.
Spencer raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced.
"Oh, just like Diana, huh? You saw her as a sister too, right? But that didn’t stop you from sleeping with her," he snapped.
Aiden’s jaw clenched, and his fists tightened.
"You don’t understand! That was a mistake. A big one. I’m sorry. I know I messed up with Diana, but it wasn’t what you think! I just... I just wanted your love," he said, his voice softening with regret.
Spencer shook his head. "It doesn’t matter. You could’ve stopped. But you didn’t." He glared at Aiden, eyes hard.
"And if you ever even think about touching Aurora, or doing anything to her, I’ll make sure your whole family goes bankrupt. Got it?"
Aiden stared at Spencer, his expression hardening. For a moment, he was speechless.
Then, in a quieter voice, he said,
"Maybe... maybe you should think things through before jumping to conclusions. You don’t know everything."
Spencer laughed, a cold, humorless sound. "Oh, I know enough, Aiden. Your history is all I need to know."
Without saying another word, Spencer turned and walked away, leaving Aiden standing there, his heart heavy with disappointment.
As Spencer disappeared into the hallway, Aiden sat down on a nearby bench, his mind racing.
He slumped onto the bench, his mind racing. How did everything get so messed up? He only wanted to be close to Spencer, to be loved, but everything had turned into this ugly mess.
Suddenly, there was a rustling sound from behind the bushes. Aiden turned around, eyes narrowing.
To his surprise, he saw Mia standing there, trying to sneak away.
Aiden’s eyes widened in realization, and he shot up from the bench. "Mia?" His voice was sharp, cold. "What are you doing here?"
Mia froze, her face turning pale. "Uh... I, uh..." she stammered, chuckling nervously. "I was just... um... hiding here by mistake. I was going to leave right now."
Aiden’s suspicion grew as he studied her. "No, you weren’t just ’hiding’. What did you hear, Mia?" He took a step closer, his eyes narrowing, his tone demanding an answer.
Mia immediately raised her hands in surrender, a nervous smile spreading across her face.
"Okay, okay, fine! I heard everything!" she said quickly, her voice shaky. "I heard that... you are gay, that you like Spencer, and that you... you slept with Diana because Diana convinced him that if he did, Spencer would love him."
Aiden’s face froze. She knows. His mind raced. How much did she hear?
How much did she understand? His fists clenched, and for a split second, he considered threatening her, making her disappear forever. But then, he stopped himself.
No, that’s not the answer, he thought. I’m not going to make this worse.
His voice turned dark, cold as ice.
"Mia, you know too much. This... this is enough for me to make sure you disappear. You shouldn’t have heard any of this." His gaze was sharp, piercing.
Mia’s eyes widened in terror.
"No, no! Please, Aiden! Please don’t do that!" she squealed, panic rising in her voice.
"I swear, I won’t tell anyone! I won’t say a word, I promise! I’ll keep it a secret!" She backed away slightly, shaking her head frantically.
Aiden took a step closer, towering over her. "You better keep your word," he warned in a low, dangerous voice.
"If anyone finds out what you know... it won’t be good for you. Understand?"
Mia’s face went pale, and she nodded rapidly.
"Yes! Yes, I understand! I swear, I won’t say a word! I’ll never tell anyone!" Her voice was almost a whisper now, desperate.
Aiden stared at her for a moment before finally giving a sharp nod. "Good. Keep it that way."
But then, just as he was about to walk away, he heard a soft voice call out to him.
"Aiden... wait," Mia said, her voice trembling slightly.
Aiden stopped in his tracks, turning slowly to face her. His eyes narrowed, and his expression was cold. "What now, Mia?" he asked, his voice flat and uninterested.
"I don’t have time for more of your nonsense. If you’re trying to threaten me again, trust me, I won’t hesitate to silence you."
Mia quickly shook her head, her hands raised in a peaceful gesture. "No, no! I’m not trying to threaten you," she said in a calmer voice.
"I just... I want to tell you something."
Aiden’s sharp eyes studied her for a moment, but then he sighed and crossed his arms. "Fine," he said, his tone still cold. "What is it?"
Mia took a deep breath, trying to steady herself.
"Listen, Aiden, I know you like Spencer. I get it. But the truth is, Spencer will never give you a chance. No matter how much you wish for it, he’s not going to be with you like that," she said softly, her words careful but direct.
