’Zion, I have to tell you something.’ Luminera voiced in his head.

’Speak.’

’Your mana, it’s getting weaker. You’ve used so much holy power that it sped up the process of your mana converting into holy power.’

’How long do I have?’ He asked, not worried about this current predicament.

’By my rough estimates, six months.’

He smiled. ’That’s plenty of time.’

’There’s also another reason why I wanted to tell you about your mana.’

He furrowed his brow. ’What is it?’

’As you know, summoning a spirit isn’t easy, even if it’s a primal one. If you do happen to catch the attention of one, making a contract with it is another story. My point is, you might not be able to contract a spirit with your current mana reserve.’

’But I feel fine. It doesn’t even feel like my mana has been lost.’

Luminera sighed. ’That’s because of two reasons. The first one is your crazy, overpowered mana method. Your absorption rate is so insane that the limited amount of mana that you have is constantly being replenished. The second reason is that he holy power isn’t making you weaker, it’s just replacing your mana. Like having a glass of water being replaced with a glass of wine, but your glass is still full.’

He thought to himself for a bit, thinking about the options laid on the table for him. He truly wanted to make a contract with a spirit, but since he needed mana, he decided to move on to plan B

’Alright, I’ll simply make another vessel in my body to hold the holy power.’ Concluded

Luminera tilted her head, not understanding what he meant. ’Can you elaborate?’

’After experimenting on Lordrick, then figuring out that maridians can hold power, I’ve concluded that the human body, or I guess every being in the world, has multiple vessels in their body that can store energy.’

’What do you mean?’

Zion explained. ’Mana flows in our body, but it’s stored in our major meridians, primarily our heart meridian. After learning that, I experimented on the other 11 major meridians, and my hypothesis was correct. After that, I went back to Lordrick’s body, and it got me thinking about whether there is any other ’vessel’ in our body that could store energy, then it clicked.’

’W-What clicked?’ She asked, genuinely interested in Zion’s discovery

’I recalled some of my past life knowledge, specifically about internal energy. In certain cultures, people explained that energy flows throughout the body, but is centralized in three distinct locations. The head, the chest, and the abdomen. These places are called Dantians. The upper dantian, the middle dantian, and the lower dantian.’

’Do you think that these energy pools were the reason why someone like Lordrick was able to use both holy power and demonic energy?’ Luminera asked

’I’m confident. The only problem will be trying to locate them. Since there is no teaching here and internal energy didn’t exist in my old world, I have to assume the method works based on the philosophy. However, once I can feel one, I should be able to feel all, albeit slightly.’

Zion finally arrived at the place where mana was the most dense. There was no civilization here, only nature and mana.

He took a seat, getting into the lotus position. He calmed his mind and took a deep breath. He wasn’t going to waste any time. After what had happened to him, he wanted to become as strong as possible in a short amount of time.

"Protect me." He ordered, then dozens of people appeared from the shadows, circling Zion while a barrier was placed around him.

"Yes, master!" They all responded in unison.

Taking one more deep breath, he delved into his consciousness, following the flow of his energy.

He could see it, his mana and holy power clashing against each other. It wasn’t destructive or harmful. Each time they clashed, mana would slowly transform into holy power. He was viewing the process in real time.

’If the teachings are correct, then I have to centralize my energy around my navel as that’s where the lower dantian is.’

And so, he did just that.

Since he still wanted his mana to remain where it was, connected to his meridians, he only willed the holy power to move, separating it from his mana, which was easier said than done. But eventually, after a while, he managed to get it done.

Now that his holy power was completely separated from his mana, he directed it to his navel. Without a path, the energy flowed violently, raging throughout his body like a storm trying to direct its course back to his mana paths, but he didn’t allow it.

He pushed through the pain and continued to direct his holy power to its new home.

After a bit of work, the holy power finally arrived at his navel, but unlike what he expected, nothing happened.

’Am I doing something wrong?’ He wondered. ’Why isn’t anything happening? Usually, there should be a sphere of light that forms and, oh....Oh.....OH...OH SHIT!’

Visualization was the key, and he felt it. His belly burned, the immense power forcing a new vessel of power into creation. It hurt more than he expected, but it also brought him joy.

The holy power rotated, forming a sphere of energy that fully resonated in the area where his navel was. Then, after a while, the holy power expanded as if it were trying to explode.

’What the fuck?!’ He exclaimed, trying to calm his energy, but to no avail. ’What’s happening?!’

More and more, the holy power expanded until it couldn’t anymore, then it completely exploded inside of him. The pain was so intense that Zion almost passed out, but he kept it together and pushed through.

Finally, after the energy settled down, his holy power completely resonated in his dantian, allowing him to use both mana and holy power together without losing one or the other. But that wasn’t all. The reason why his energy went berserk was that it was purifying the holy power, removing all traces of mana left inside.

Once everything was over, he was visibly stronger than before. Since his mana wasn’t being replaced, it could now refill inside his body, and with holy power being on a separate energy plane, his power would be stacked.

"I-I did it!" He said, panting heavily.

’Incredible! This is absolutely insane.’

"I know, and I can do it two more times as well!" Zion knew that he shouldn’t mess with his middle and upper dantians at this moment and consolidate his current power, but he didn’t care. He wanted power, and he was going to do whatever it took to get it.
