Chapter 138: Chapter 138

"Are you here?" Zion called out. He was in a room inside the Castle, one provided by Melina for his stay in Alfheim.

"Yes, master." An elf woman answered, dressed as a royal maid.

"Here’s the current situation," Zion explained everything to her. "I want you to inform me of anything suspicious, no matter what it is. I don’t care even if it’s a bug flying upside-down. Also, be wary of Infernal energy. Not even I was able to defend myself properly against it."

"Understood. We’ll keep you updated. We even have some of our people keeping an eye on the Fae families since they are important individuals in this land."

"Good. Lastly-" He paused, feeling something watching him. He scanned the entire room with his mana and even using Tessa, but he wasn’t able to pick up anything.

"Master, I feel like a spirit is watching us." The elf woman said, getting into a defensive stance to protect Zoin. As an elf, she was able to sense spirits, unlike Zion, who wasn’t able to.

"So that’s what’s watching us, huh?" He smiled. "Leave, relay my orders to the others, and take this blood sample to get studied. I want a cure for it made as fast as possible."

"Yes, master." The elf vanished into the darkness.

About five minutes later, someone knocked on his door.

"U-Um, excuse me. Does someone named Zion stay in this room?" The person asked.

"Yes, that’s correct," Zion answered

"Oh, okay, good. I was hoping I didn’t go to the wrong door again." The elf chuckled dryly. "U-Um, I have something urgent to speak with you about, Queen’s Orders."

"Let me open the door for you," Zion responded, doing just that.

"T-Thank you, sir." The elf bowed, entering the room.

Zion smirked menacingly. "So, what does my mother-in-law need from me?"

It was subtle, but Zion managed to catch a small twitch, an uncomfortable movement the elf made as he heard Zion call Melina mother-in-law.

The elf was a handsome man, more handsome than any other elf Zion had seen in his short time here, and because he was an elf, he was more handsome than normal. Still, Zion didn’t lose to him when it came to appearances.

"My name is Aethon, and the Queen wanted me to work with you regarding the world tree saplings." He spoke, his voice timid

"Ah, that. Yeah. So what can you help me with?"

"W-Well, I’m from one of the Fae families, so I can help you get information and maybe help track down the others. Y-You’re a divine apostle, right? Maybe you can use your power to help protect the saplings so it doesn’t get stolen again."

"Good idea, we’ll move at once. It’s better to be safe than sorry, am I right? If those saplings get in the hands of those demons, then that wouldn’t be a good thing, would it?"

"N-No, it wouldn’t. And thank you for listening to me. The others think I’m useless." The elf slumped his shoulders.

"Cheer up, I don’t think you’re useless. After all, you’re helping me, right? A divine apostle."

"Y-Yes, you’re right!" He cheered up.

"Just one piece of advice." Zion’s entire expression changed, his face now serious, and the atmosphere around him growing darker. "When you try to trick someone, make sure you keep your bloodlust in check, dumbass."

"Heh, heheh, I forgot about that. Guess you can’t fool them all." Aethon chuckled, his entire persona doing a 180.

"I can’t believe a lowly human such as yourself won the tournament." He scoffed

"That’s all you want to say? Aren’t you curious about why I call Melina my MIL?" Zion egged the elf on, hoping to get a reaction out of him.

But Aethon only shook his head and smiled. "Don’t think too highly of yourself, human. The queen wouldn’t marry off her daughter to someone of such..." He looked Zion up and down. "Lowly standards. Especially to the follower of a fallen goddess. Besides, you can’t take what’s mine."

"They were soft, you know," Zion muttered casually

Aethon furrowed his brow. "What were?"

"Her lips, Valindra, that is. The way she craved my touch, the fire inside her that wanted more, the way her tongue explored my mouth, and even how she jumped into my arms, it was amazing. Tasted like strawberries."

While he looked calm, Aethon was furious, and his hand was turning white with how hard he was clenching his fists. His mana started to rise, and he was ready to strike Zion down at any moment. However, he kept his calm.

Zion, however, continued, not caring about how Aethor felt, nor the consequences of his actions. Sure, Valindra might have been engaged to him prior ot meeting him, but now, she was his and that wasn’t going to change.

"Then on the bed, man, she let me take off her top, allowing me to see her soft boobs. Those pink nipples were so delicious I couldn’t stop sucking on them. The way they perked up in my mouth as I nibbled on them was amazing. The way she moaned and grabbed my head, the way she looked at me with lust in her eyes..." He kissed his fingers. "Beautiful."

Aethor got angrier but didn’t say anything just yet.

"We were about to have sex, but Melina caught us in the act. Shame, I would have taken her virginity if it wasn’t for that."

"You’re bluffing!" Aethor shouted, his calm demeanor faltering.

Zion smiled, playing back a recording.

"Woah, you’re really into this, huh?" Zion’s voice came out of the recording

"Shut up and kiss me, you sexy human." Valindra’s voice said, followed by the sounds of kissing and moans.

Watching Aethor’s mind break upon hearing him making out with Valindra truly put a smile on his face. ’Netori for the win!’ He thought to himself.

"You little, worthless-"

Zion cut him off. "Strawberries."

*BOOM*

Zion crashed through the stone walls of the castle, his body sailing through the air as Aethor’s wind magic ripped the room apart. He smirked, catching himself mid-air with a burst of mana to cushion his fall. "Hahahaha! Yeah! Come on! Fight for your girl!"

"I’ll fucking kill you!" Aethor screamed, hurling a massive gust of wind that would tear anything it came in contact with to shreds

"I’d like to see you try you long eared stupid bitch!" Zion responded, firing back with light magic.
