Chapter 127: Chapter 127

"How in the hell did a fracture lead to the underworld? Only the monster realm is accessible from fractures. Did you come across a rank 11 fracture? I’ve heard that the monsters there are demonic." Zion thought.

"No. I would never mistake a fracture, no matter the rank, for the underworld. I’ve been alive for over a thousand years, and I’ve never seen anything like that. The fracture opened directly above the capital city, and thousands of demons poured out of it. Normal rank to mid-rank. It was a blood bath." She clenched her fists just thinking back to how many elves were killed just a few days ago.

Zion didn’t even make any jokes and listened without interrupting. Just one Mid-Rank demon was hard enough to deal with, so hundreds of them would be a nightmare. Luckily, his weapons would make dealing with them easier.

"It wasn’t just the demons who attacked, it was also demonic humans and demonic elves. Our own fucking people sided with those disgusting demons and killed many innocent civilians. I did my best, but I’m not all-powerful. Eventually, I needed some time to catch my breath, and that was when they jumped me. As soon as that bug touched my skin, it sank into my body, and I was useless after that."

"What were they after?" Zion asked

Nimreth shrugged. "I don’t know? However, I did hear one of them say that they’re searching for the divine relic. Maybe that was their goal."

"Hmmm. The demons were after the divine relic in the human kingdom as well. They found it in fact." Zion informed

"What?! If they get their hands on one of the relics, then they could take over a kingdom with ease! You have to alert your human leaders right away." She urged

"Relax." Zion pulled out the Sword of Forms. "I snagged it before them."

"Y-You, you have the relic? And even bonded with it?" She took a few steps back and took up a defensive position.

"Oh, please, I’m not going to hurt you."

"You have the power to take over a kingdom sitting right there in the palm of your hands, and you expect me not to be on guard?"

"Woman, if I wanted to take over a kingdom, I wouldn’t need this relic. You can ask the Queen herself, she witnessed it after all."

"Witnessed what?" She wondered

"The true power I possess," Zion smirked

Nimreth gulped. "And you promise not to kill me?"

"Why do you think I will try and kill you?"

"Because my goddess said to be wary of you, and because I’m currently in a weakened state. I don’t even have the power to defend myself right now." She held out her hand, and a magic circle formed, only for it to fizzle out instantly.

"Nah, I have no interest in harming you, at least for now. You can go back to your home, I won’t stop you."

"You sure you’re not lying to-" Her speech was interrupted by a surge of divine power that completely engulfed her body. Her eyes glowed blue, and her body appeared to be on fire as she started hovering in the air.

"What the fuck?!" Zion exclaimed as he protected himself from the foreign divine energy.

After five minutes of Nimreth being in a trance, she collapsed onto the ground, slowly getting up as she now felt even weaker than she already did.

"What the fuck was that?" He asked, helping her up.

"It was my goddess, Freya. She told me to request your aid. The elven kingdom, Alfheim, is in danger, and she needs your help immediately. Please help my people." She begged

"Luminera?" Zion asked

’Help her.’ She ordered

’Are you sure?’

’Yes. You’ll be able to infiltrate their kingdom more easily and find the relic. Also, Freya will owe you for helping her people. I think this is good.’

’Say less.’

"Okay, I’ll help you."

"Great! We have to leave now, though! Alfiehm is a month’s journey from here, and I can’t create a portal in my current state. We have to hurry!"

"How did you get here so quickly then?"

"I was dragged through a portal."

"Oh. Well, Helen." He called once more.

"I’m here."

"Get started on project restoration. I want this place to look worthy of Luminera once I return. Also, tell Alice and Lidia that I’ll be traveling to Alfiehm."

"As you wish."

’Tessa, prep the jet.’

[It’s already en route.]

"Are you ready?" He asked Nimreth

"Yes! Let’s hurry! We need the fastest horses you have to reach there before any more deaths can occur. We’ll also need to sleep as little as possible, but also make sure our horses don’t die from exhaustion. By my estimates, we can arrive there in 2 weeks at the earliest if we plan correctly."

Zion could only laugh as she planned out their method of travel.

"What’s so funny?" She asked

"We’ll be there within a few hours." He smiled

"What? How? You haven’t been to Alfiehm, so you can’t summon a portal there."

"Don’t need to. We’ll just fly there."

"Fly? It will take all of your energy just to fly-" Her words were cut off by a large metal aircraft that flew into the city and hovered over their heads.

"W-What is that?" She asked, her mind completely blown away by the unrecognizable aircraft.

"Our ride." Zion smiled as a tractor beam pulled both of them into the aircraft.

The inside of the jet didn’t look like the typical jets back on Earth. They were decked out with advanced technology, magic, runes, and magi-tech, a combination of magic and technology. It looked like an aircraft straight out of science fiction.

"Sit down, you don’t want to be standing up when this bad boy takes off."

"W-What?"

"Tessa, let’s go."

[Preparing route to Alfheim. Estimated arrival time, two hours.]

"T-Two hours? Wait, who said that? What’s going on?" Nimreth asked, still looking around confused.

"Just sit back and enjoy the ride." A seat rose up from the floor, forcing Nimreth to sit in it as it strapped her in.

[Taking off in 3...2...1...]

"LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

*BOOM*

The jet took off in a flash, breaking the sound barrier with a thunderous boom as it shot toward Alfheim like a streak of fire.
