Chapter 128: Chapter 128

Maybe it was the speed, or maybe she just wasn’t built for this kind of ride—but Nimreth screamed the entire way to the elven kingdom without stopping once to breathe.

"Get me out of this thing! Now! Oh Goddess! I’m going to die! You’re trying to kill me! I won’t let you! Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck! Put this-whatever this is back on the ground right now!" Nimreth screamed as she flailed her legs around

"Relax, we’re here now. You can stop screaming." He chuckled as the jet landed in an open field in Alfheim. The door opened downward, hissing as the fresh air pooled into the aircraft.

"I’ve been to every kingdom in Midgard but never to another continent. You elves eat meat, right? I’ll be dammed if I have to eat a fucking salad for-"

*BOOM*

Something powerful struck the jet, causing a large explosion. Thankfully, the jet was protected by a barrier, so no harm was done to the craft, Zion, or Nimreth.

"AGHHHHH! MAKE IT STOP!!!" Nimreth shouted, clutching to the seat she was sitting on.

"What the fuck was that?" He yelled, looking into the sky.

"SCREEEEEEECH!" A flock of massive owl-looking creatures with horns, a spikey tail, and bat wings flew towards Zion’s direction, blasting fire from their mouths in rapid succession.

"What the hell is that thing?" He muttered.

[No animal resembling that creature is recorded in my database. Maybe it’s native to this land?] Tessa wondered

"Or this is the threat Nimreth was talking about." Leaping up into the sky, Zion pulled out his photon blade, slicing one of the owls in half.

"SCREEEEECH!" Another one yelled, blasting fire in his direction.

"Please." With a wave of his hand, a powerful gust of wind magic sliced through the fire, cutting the wings off of the owl, and it plummeted to its death. frёewebηovel.cѳm

[There are 13 more of those creatures coming in hot!]

"Then let’s show them who they’re messing with." Zion rocketed toward one of the owls, flying straight through it.

He used its intestines and wrapped them around another one’s neck, pulling it toward him and impaling the owl in the chest with his fist.

"SCREEECH!" One owl bellowed as it fired a beam of fire at Zion.

He wrapped golden energy around the owl in his hands, using it to shield himself from the fire, then threw it at the owl and watched as both of them burst into a pile of blood and guts.

[6 o’clock!]

"Yup." Turning around, he extended his fingers, and golden light flashed from his fingertips, sending five waves of holy power that sliced off the necks of five owls.

Just as he was about to kill the remaining five, arrows struck them down before he was able to. Their aim was precise, perfect, and the arrow pierced right through the owl’s heart like butter.

"Looks like the elves arrived," Zion said as he flew back down to the ground. But as he landed, an arrow flew right past his face, obviously a warning shot, but it was clear that the Elves took him as someone they considered hostile.

"Who are you? State your purpose!" A dark elf demanded as he held his bow, aiming directly at Zion’s heart. While three other elves were in battle stances.

Zion put his arms out, "Woah, calm down, I’m no threat. I’m here to help. I have your divine apostle and-"

"He has Nimreth?! Attack him!" The Dark Elf ordered

"Wait! Stop! Ahh, fuck it. I’ll just beat some sense into you guys." More arrows whiffed past Zion’s face, missing their mark as he charged forward.

"Stop him!" An elf shouted as she swung her sword at Zion, but she was easily parried and kicked out of the way.

A mage elf tried to cast a spell, but Zion was faster, trapping her feet in the earth and shooting a ball of mana at her head, knocking her out.

The dark elf kept firing arrows at Zion. He simply pulled back the bowstring, and an arrow made of mana materialized, allowing him to fire in rapid succession.

"You know, if you’d just listen to me, we wouldn’t be having a misunderstanding right now," Zion shouted as he blocked an Elf Martial Artist with his hand, breaking their arm and kicking them into a rock.

"Liar! You expect us to believe you’ve captured our Divine Apostle?!" the dark elf snarled. "You’re in league with them, aren’t you? Those demonic bastards!" He poured mana into his bow, the air around him surging with power as a massive arrow crackled into existence, wind howling and lightning arcing along its shaft as he took aim at Zion.

"I swear, if you shoot that thing at me, I’ll rip your head from your fucking-" The elf fired the arrow. "Oh you mother fucker!"

Catching the arrow with one hand, Zion felt the weight of the arrow pushing him back, the wind cutting at his skin, and the lightning trying its best to electrocute his body. But he stood firm, overpowering the arrow with the simple clenching of his fists.

The dark elf’s eyes widened in surprise. "How the hell-"

Zion smiled. "I’ll kill you now." He stretched out his hand, pulling the elf into his grasp as his fingers sank into the man’s neck, cutting off his airways.

"Agh! Akk! Y-You won’t g-get away with this!" The elf struggled to get out.

"Oh sure, I’m the bad guy, huh? We could have talked like civilized people and you would have realized that I was sent here by your fucking goddess to help your sorry asses!"

"L-Liar!"

"Believe what you want, you’ll be dead either way." Zion tightened his grip around the man’s neck, his smile becoming awfully sadistic as he did so.

"Zion? What are you doing? Stop it!" A woman’s voice called out.

Zion turned to see a beautiful, dark elf woman, one whom he hadn’t seen in a few days.

"Syrune?" He asked

"Yes. What are you doing here? And why are you choking Pinor?" She asked

"Oh, this guy?" He tossed the elf away. "He attacked me as I was trying to tell him I came to help. I came to bring your divine apostle back, and apparently, your goddess asked for my aid."

"R-Really? Lady Nimreth is back?!" She asked, her eyes lighting up with joy. "Quickly, bring me to her!"

"Sure, sure, but before that." He pulled Syrune in close, holding his hand around her waist. "Shouldn’t you greet your fiancé properly?"

"W-W-What are you-"

He locked lips with her, cutting off her speech as he explored her mouth. Syrune didn’t know what to do; her mind was scrambling to find the answer, but the kiss was too overwhelming for her. So she did the only thing that managed to cross her mind: kiss him back.

She leaned in, reciprocating his kiss as her arms wrapped around his head. Their tongues coiled around each other and Zion’s hands got awfully low, clutching her plump ass and giving it a nice squeeze.

"O-Okay, that’s enough." Syrune blushed, pushing Zion away slightly.

"S-Syrune? W-Were you just kissing that human?" Pinor asked, rubbing his hands around his bruised neck.

Syrune blushed even harder than she already was. "N-No! I mean, yes! I mean-Ugh! Just shut up! Zion, take me to Lady Nimreth! And stop kissing me!"
