Blade of the Goddess-Chapter 126
Chapter 126: Chapter 126
"Hehe, Zion Zagan, I’ve heard a lot about you. It’s a pleasure to finally get to meet you in person." Lenny said, greeting him with respect.
"So this is the reason why you didn’t want me to purge the city of these gangs," Zion muttered, completely ignoring Lenny.
"Z-Zion. You come to my city, my church, and act as if you own the place! I won’t stand for it! You aren’t welcome here!" The pope tried to sound intimidating but he was shitting his pants just being in Zion presence.
"It hasn’t even been a week since I was here, and people are already loving what I’m doing with the place. By the looks of it, I think I’m welcome here." He chuckled
"Hold on, haha, excuse me for a second, but did you just ignore me?" Lenny growled, his power rising by the second.
"It’s a shame, really. I can understand your lack of or loss of faith in Luminera, but you could have had everything if you decided to be on my side. I mean, I truly don’t care, but it’s still amazing to see what people would do just for or to keep power. You’re such a stupid old man." Zion shook his head with disappointment in his eyes.
"STOP FUCKING IGNORING ME!" Lenny unleashed a massive wave of demonic energy that knocked back not only the Pope, but also every one of his slaves in the cells.
The energy was so destructive that it tore a hole through the wall that continued to tear through the city, but even then, it wasn’t enough to break Zion’s defences.
"You done?" He asked, completely unfazed and uninjured.
"Ohhh no, I’m just getting started!" Lenny through another punch, but Zion caught it, twisting his arm and punching him in the jaw that blasted him out of the building.
The pope attacked from behind, casting a fire spell called [Inferno] that erupted from under Zion’s feet.
"Die, you false Apostle!" The pope shouted. But suddenly, a golden blade pierced his neck, slicing his head off in one clean slash.
"A false Pope calling me a false Apostle? The irony." Zion chuckled.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Lenny swung down, a sword in his hand, with immense force, attempting to cut Zion in half, but his sword was caught by Zion’s hand, and he held it up in the air, which caused Lenny to dangle as he kept his grip on his hilt.
"You know, the whole point of a sneak attack is to be, well, sneaky. Shouting defeats that whole purpose." He flicked his fingers, and a golden beam tore right through Lenny’s head, killing him.
"I thought you would be stronger," Zion said, slightly disappointed that he couldn’t fight a harder battle.
A Holy Knight ran up to Zion and saluted him. "Lord Zion! We’ve gathered all the information left behind in the Horned Bear and Viper Gang. We’ve also eliminated the entirety of the Demon gang, and the false believers within the church and the people."
"Good work. Search this entire place. I’m sure there’s some valuable information here." Zion ordered
"Yes, sir!"
Zion walked back to Lenny’s ’throne room’ and unlocked the doors to each cell. The women there were dead in the eyes, and most lost their will to live. The ones who didn’t were on edge and backed away when Zion tried to help them.
"Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you all. Here, look." With the wave of his hand, golden light bathed their bodies, and all of their injuries and sicknesses healed instantly. Even their malnourished appearance was gone. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
"What?"
"How could this be?"
"A-Are you a god?"
"W-Will you let us go?"
"Sister! Sister, wake up!"
"Helen." Zion called
"I’m here." She answered
"Get these girls to safety and give them food, water, clothing, and shelter."
"At your command." She waved her hand, and a large shadow was cast over the girls as they were transported to safety.
"Now, you," Zion said as he approached the woman nailed to the wall. "Why do I sense a familiar yet hostile presence from you?" He asked, freeing the woman from her shackles.
"Y-You freed me?" The elf woman asked, her shock apparent.
"Who are you?" Zion asked, healing the woman.
"You don’t know? Can’t you feel the connection between us? I could sense you the day you arrived in this god forsaken city."
"You didn’t answer my question." He shone golden light on the elf, creating clothing out of gold for her to wear.
"Haha, either you’re the nicest out of all of us, or you’re just fucking stupid." The elf stood up, stretching her body, and stepped outside, breathing in the fresh air.
"I’m Nimreth Ithirae, the Elven Divine Apostle." She announced, as if the world would stop and tremble just from hearing who she was.
"Oh, I thought you were someone important." Zion shrugged
"W-What? I am someone important! You’re a divine apostle, too, aren’t you?! My Goddess told me to be wary of you since you’re Luminera’s champion."
"I’m sure she did."
"You aren’t going to kill me?" She asked.
"Nope. Hmm, what’s that?" Zion pierced her abdomen with his fist and pulled out a bug that was squirming in his hand. "A bug? Do elves eat bugs?" He asked, healing Nimreth
"Ugh! Fuck! N-No. Those bastards forced that creature into my body, which causes pain that’s so unbearable I couldn’t use my power. Look, there is the other bug, they are a pair."
Zion grabbed the jar, playing the bug into it. "Hmm. I’ll research these later. Anyway, what are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be, I don’t know, in your own kingdom? How in the hell was a divine apostle beaten by some weak ass demonic humans?"
"That’s because I wasn’t beaten by some ’weak ass’ demonic humans, it was a full scale invasion."
"What are you talking about?" He asked
"It all started the day her Majesty left for the Astir kingdom. A fracture opened."
"Pfft hahahahahahaha!" Zion burst out laughing once those words left her mouth. "You got fucked up by monsters?! And you call yourself a Divine Apostle?"
"This fracture led to the underworld." She finished
Silence
"Oh."
