Eden’s hand ran through Adrian’s naked body under the sheet. He was still asleep, but his hands seemed to be active.

Adrian woke up, looking around, and then down at Eden, who lay beside him in bed. Both of them were naked and under the same sheet. He was cuddling Eden close to him.

He smiled at the sight. "Your hands seem to be active this morning. Do you want to go on another round?"

Eden slowly opened his eyes and looked up at Adrian. "You... don’t you get tired or what?"

Adrian smiled as he ran a finger through his nose. "No. I don’t at all."

"Figured," Eden scoffed. He was the playboy male lead in the book, after all. Probably the most sexually active among the two. And last night was enough to prove it to Eden.

"We had a couple of rounds last night, and you kept wanting more," Eden smiled. "You should get some rest at least."

"I already did," Adrian smiled.

"Whatever," Eden said, looking around. "It’s already morning. I think I should start heading off now."

"Now?" Adrian repeated. "It’s still morning though. Shouldn’t you keep me company some more or something?" He pressed Eden tightly against his broad chest.

"I kept your horny ass company all night. That should be enough," Eden said.

"But I was gentle," Adrian smiled. "So that’s a bonus for me in my defense."

"Yeah, right," Eden smiled. "Gentle as a cowboy in a race."

"Huh? What does that mean?"

"Forget," Eden said, breaking free from Adrian’s body. "I should start getting ready to leave."

He slipped out of the bed and wrapped himself in a sheet. Adrian lay there, staring at him. "Why are you covering up? I want to take a look."

"You’ve seen me all night though," Eden said.

"Still not satisfied. I want to create a mental picture so it can last long in my mind," he smiled.

"You pervert," Eden said as he made his way to pick up some clothes from Adrian’s wardrobe.

"Let’s take our bath together at my bath chamber," Adrian suggested.

"No thanks. I’m not falling for any chances of you inserting that stuff in me this morning. My stomach is already tired for now," he said, selecting clothes.

Adrian smiled, a hand on his chin as he stared at Eden. "Why? But it’s big."

"Yes. That’s precisely why."

"Then it’s a good thing," he smiled proudly.

"Whatever. You probably have some official work to handle, so you should get to it."

"But you should have known by now that my official works are always related to tying people down in bed. The rumors about me should have gotten to you. The playboy marquis."

"Whatever. Good for you then," Eden picked up something and started putting it on.

"Then keep me company for a few more hours. I’m sick," Adrian said.

Eden stared at him. "I checked you. You’ll be fine as long as you don’t get into serious trouble." He was done changing. "I should go and get bread in my room then."

"Are you sure you won’t stay with me? I’m already lonely, and I don’t want to bring someone else into my room."

Eden cast him a glare. "Whatever."

"No. Don’t worry, I won’t. I’m only loyal to you from now," Adrian smiled.

Eden found himself smiling. "The playboy? Loyal to me? That’s interesting."

"Yes, I am. From today onwards, I won’t have any affair with anyone unless it’s you," he said.

Eden nodded. "Okay then. I’ll believe you. Now can I go?"

Adrian said nothing as he lay there, watching Eden make his way to the door. But Eden stopped halfway and then turned to him.

Eden made his way back to where Adrian lay and leaned towards him. He pressed his lips against his in a soft kiss and then ran a hand through his hair. "Stay safe and don’t get into trouble."

He smiled at him as he turned and walked out of the room.

Adrian stood there, confused and surprised, but ended up smiling broadly. His ears had gone red.

"What was that about?" he asked with a shy smile.

Eden had already gotten ready in his room and had packed the little stuff he’d need. When he was done, he and Lenny made their way out to meet Adrian and Helen, who were already waiting outside.

"Are you sure you two did nothing last night?" Lenny asked, standing on Eden’s shoulder as a bird as they walked.

"Yes... nothing happened between us, so stop asking," Eden smiled.

Lenny stared at him suspiciously. "I don’t know why, but I feel you’re lying. I think something happened between the two of you. Two horny men in one room... only one thing could possibly happen."

"What? Mutual interaction?" Eden asked.

"No. You know what I’m talking about, so don’t play dumb with me," Lenny said as they walked outside.

Eden casually smiled. "Then keep thinking about it."

They were soon standing before Helen and Adrian. Their carriage was ready with two horses and a driver.

Adrian instantly let out a bright smile as he saw Eden. Eden smiled too. Lenny stared at the two of them.

"And you said nothing happened," Lenny snapped.

"Shut up," Eden snapped back.

"I was thinking about also preparing some soldiers to follow you two there," Adrian explained. "So you’d be safer," he smiled at Eden.

"No need. That would draw unnecessary attention to us. So don’t bother," Eden said.

Adrian nodded. "Okay then."

"Don’t worry, I’m here, so nothing will happen on the way," Helen assured.

They stared at the carriage and horses before them as Adrian asked, "Are you sure you want to make this trip? You could stay here longer, where you’d be safer."

Eden smiled. "Don’t worry. I’ll be okay. I have to make this trip. I have to find something. So I have to go."

Adrian slowly nodded. "Okay then. Remember to write to me if anything goes wrong, or if you need anything."

Eden nodded. "Sure. I will."

Adrian nodded, both hands on his waist. "Then... since you’ll be leaving..." He walked up to Eden and bent his face closer to him. "Give me a goodbye kiss."

Lenny and Helen stared at them, speechless. Their minds instantly went, Not this morning again.

Eden smiled as he brushed his lips against Adrian’s. A short yet passionate kiss. "That should do."

Adrian smiled. "See you then. Stay safe."
