[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 289: Through The Portal
"Is it here?"
It was almost dark, but at least the two of them could see where they were. They stood somewhere that looked like the rest of the forest, and they stood before a huge tree that sat there.
"Yes," Lenny nodded, pointing to the tree. "This is where it leads to."
Eden stared at the tree. "So what are we expected to do? Talk to the tree and ask where the Wizard of El’s powers are?"
"You’re the wizard, you should touch it or something," Lenny said.
"Who goes around touching trees? That’s strange—" Eden brushed his palms against the tree and immediately a blue light shone.
The bright light had the two of them staggering backwards and covering their eyes with their hands; it was too bright.
And when they looked again, they saw a blue portal-like hole in the tree. Like an abyss.
"Woah. I guess it worked," Eden blinked.
"Told you," Lenny said. "Now let’s get going."
Eden stared at Lenny. "Is it even safe?"
"Why wouldn’t it be? Go now," Lenny demanded as Eden stared at it again. He hesitated before he placed a hand in and soon walked through.
The portal absorbed the two of them, and soon they were completely in. The portal and its light closed, and it was back to its normal tree stem.
A normal sight in the woods.

The first thought Eden had in his mind when he opened his eyes was: why the hell was it daytime?!
Because it was.
Before they walked in, they were sure it was night already. But while they were in here, it was suddenly day.
And Eden was more than sure they were on a mountain top.
The breeze blew through their faces as Eden turned to look across the mountain top. He couldn’t get a full glimpse of where this mountain sat because he wasn’t at the edge to look down; he wouldn’t dare stand there to look down, either.
He stood in the middle where he found himself, staring around at the visible clouds surrounding the mountain; they seemed like the only thing surrounding it. And it had Eden wondering how high this mountain was.
The breeze was harsh, yet calm and soothing. And as Eden looked around where he stood, he saw a cave ahead.
"Do you think we should go there?" Eden asked but got no reply. He looked over his shoulder and didn’t see Lenny.
"Lenny?" He turned and saw him as a bird, flying toward the edge of the mountain, but he couldn’t fly past.
"I think there’s a field around here," Lenny explained in a loud voice. "Like we’re stuck inside this little globe of the mountain top, and there’s an invisible field that won’t let us out."
Eden sighed. "At least it’s better. We won’t fall off."
"And this is the mountain, I think," Lenny said. "The Soul Mountain."
Eden paused, staring at him. Breeze blew through his hair and face as he thought for a while. "And what the hell is that?"
Lenny came to stand by his shoulder. "A mythological mountain I saw in the vision. The mountain where the Wizard of El was made."
Eden stared at him. "Huh?"
"It’s said that it’s a mysterious mountain that is mostly associated with witchcraft and all sorts of things. Because years back, when magic was still prominent, many witches and wizards came around here for retreat."
"Not everyone can come here. Only some who are said to possess some potential for witchcraft. If not, they say the mountain kills you."
Eden only blinked and listened.
"I don’t really know much about it. But most also said it’s a normal mountain and there’s nothing special to it. But those who claim it’s mystical suggest that everyone who comes to the mountain sees different spaces some others can’t. It’s complicated, though."
Eden stared at the cave. "So are you sure we’re seeing the same cave?"
"Yes, I see it," Lenny said. "But I didn’t see anything about going inside in the vision, so I’m not sure."
Eden blinked, staring at the cave. "So what do we do now? Where do we find answers?"
"A pond," Lenny said, looking around. "There should be a pond of water around here..."
"A pond?" Eden looked around too. "But there doesn’t seem to be anything like that here..."
It was a normal-looking mountain top. Filled with rocks, some little plants growing at the side, two trees standing at a distance, and then the cave.
"Are you sure about what you’re saying?"
"Super sure. Let’s spread out and look around for some signs." Lenny flew off and began searching through the place.
Eden wasn’t sure about what they were looking for but searched too. He moved from one corner to another looking for some mysterious pond, but found nothing.
It had been minutes since they started searching, and Eden was already tired. "Are you sure it’s here? I can’t seem to find anything at all."
Lenny said nothing; he was clearly still searching.
Eden sighed and continued for a while.
"Found it," Lenny suddenly announced as Eden looked up, shocked.
"Huh? You found something? How’s that possible? Where?" Eden got up from the rock he was sitting on and made his way to where Lenny was.
Lenny was still in his bird form, standing beside a lily flower that grew alone on the mountain top. A single lily flower.
Eden hesitated, staring at the flower. "Huh? A flower?"
"Yes. It’s it. The lily pond," Lenny explained, looking up at Eden. "It’s the only lily in this whole mountain; didn’t you notice?"
Eden was already too tired and thirsty to notice. "I guess so. So what now? What do we do with the flower? Ask questions?"
"No," Lenny stared at the flower. "You should pluck it."
Eden hesitated, staring at the flower for a while. He then plucked it from its root.
Nothing happened.
The two of them stared at each other.
"Are you sure this is legit? Were you scammed or something...?"
Before he could finish his sentence, the ground began shaking.
