[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 276: Locked Up
She could read Queen Lea’s expression, and she watched it shatter. Queen Lea’s lips went dry, and she lost every bit of sanity left.
"What?!" she demanded, her pitch high.
Queen Elizabeth smiled. "I believe I’m not speaking in a foreign language... you heard me right."
Queen Lea gasped as she stared up at Elizabeth from her knees. She didn’t know what to say or how to feel. Everything was over for her.
At that moment, she didn’t know what to believe or how all this had happened. But all she knew was that Queen Elizabeth had done her worst.
She had played a game that everyone was blind to. And she had won in the end.
"You’ve been planning this all along..." Queen Lea could only say. "You’ve been pretending all this while and planning behind our backs. Planning on taking everything and killing the King to take his throne..."
Queen Elizabeth laughed for a while and then said, "I don’t really know what you’re talking about. All I know is that my lovely husband died and gave me his kingdom to look after."
Queen Lea knew it was a lie. And Queen Elizabeth knew that Queen Lea knew it was a lie. Because that was exactly what she wanted.
"Lies! You’re lying! You planned all this!" Queen Lea snapped as Elizabeth casually smiled.
"Does it even make a difference now? What matters is that I am your ruler, and you should show your ultimate respect to me unless I—"
Before she could finish, Queen Lea snapped, "I won’t let it slide! I’ll make sure I expose all the evil you did! I’ll let the world know how you killed the King and schemed for years to take his throne! I’ll let them all know how you committed treason—!"
Before she could finish her sentence, Queen Elizabeth landed a hard slap on her cheek—one that left her palm’s mark on Queen Lea’s face.
She landed another slap on the other side and watched Queen Lea’s skin flush red.
Queen Elizabeth smiled. "You should mind your language and show respect, unless I tag you a rebel and have you beheaded by tomorrow. You know I can do that."
She watched Queen Lea tremble like a mouse. She continued, "How pathetic. What makes you think anyone would believe your absurd words?" She laughed. "You better pull yourself together and behave if you want to survive here."
"I recall it all. All you did to climb the ladder. So don’t make me come back at you for it all. Because if I did, hell would be a safer option." She smiled. "But don’t worry. I won’t go as low as you did. Because I’m not as pathetic as you."
She added, "I’ll only let you live here because of your son. He doesn’t deserve a pathetic mother like you. But he also doesn’t deserve to have his mother driven away to her death."
She stepped backwards, staring at the red-faced Queen Lea who was kneeling before her. "So behave yourself while you’re here. Unless I will make you behave."
Queen Elizabeth knew she didn’t need to stress much about Queen Lea. She was not much of a threat on her own at all.
She was just dumb.
She was the type to be used—as she was used by King Edward—and to ride on silly impulses of the moment. She wasn’t smart enough to be manipulative and calculative at all, even though she felt she was.
She was just a pawn. One who could be easily read. And Queen Elizabeth had already read and studied her for years. She knew her a bit too well.
So she was going to keep her here. Right under her watch.
Queen Elizabeth stared at the maids standing at Queen Lea’s side. "Guards. Take these fools away and expel them from this kingdom. All who worked and work under Queen Lea shall be expelled far from the Kingdom and never to be heard of again. And they shall be replaced immediately."
As soon as she gave the orders, the guards chorused a "Yes!" and then marched to take the maids away.
Queen Lea stared in shock. Speechless. But she couldn’t do anything at all.
"Please let me go!"
"Save me, My Queen!"
"Let me go!"
The maids cried, but to no avail. Soon they were taken away. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Queen Elizabeth stared at Queen Lea with a smile as she instructed the guards, "And I want Queen Lea to be kept in here most of the time. She will be watched all day by guards. Anyone who comes in to see her will be reported to me, and I’ll have to approve it. And she won’t be allowed to leave without permission."
She smiled as she stared at her. "I want all eyes on her all the time."
"Yes!" the guards chorused.
Queen Lea’s face went pale in shock. She stared at Queen Elizabeth as she said, "What are you talking about...? Why would you do that... how dare you do that? Am I a prisoner or something? Hey!!"
She had lost it, screaming at the top of her voice while Queen Elizabeth ignored her. She turned and began walking out of the room while Queen Lea crashed out.
"How can you do this to me! No! You can’t do this to me! You can’t!" She kept screaming inside while everyone began leaving, leaving her alone in there.
Soon, the door was locked while she rushed to it, knocking. "Open up! You can’t keep me hostage in here! Let me go!"
But no one listened. No one even opened it for her.
Queen Elizabeth turned and stared at the guards who were keeping guard at the door and instructed them on what to do. They nodded in agreement.
And then she turned with a sigh. The voice of Queen Lea was still sounding from inside, but they all completely ignored it.
Queen Elizabeth only thought for a while and then said, "They’ll be here in a while. I have to go get ready to meet those brats."
