[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 272: I Once begged you too.
The rest of the noble men agreed too. That they wouldn’t leave and let a "monster" like Queen Elizabeth stand before the King.
She had a hand over her mouth as she laughed at their foolishness.
"As foolish as always," she said.
"What? How dare a woman call the court nobles foolish? Do you know the consequences of that?"
"Women! You should know your place!"
She glared at them. "You all are the ones who should know your pathetic places. You fools."
"..."
They were speechless. And before they could even come up with something else to say, Queen Elizabeth said to the guards,
"Drive these fools out of my presence." She commanded, and they did as she asked. The guards dragged the noble men and physicians out like they were criminals.
"You!"
"How dare you?!"
"What’s happening here?!"
"This is madness!"
"What is becoming of this sacred palace?!"
The noble men all exclaimed while they were dragged out.
They didn’t take one person out: the Royal physician who had held Eden out with the pill. He had also helped Queen Elizabeth out.
He had provided her with the poison she needed for the mission.
Queen Elizabeth stared at him as he bowed. "Don’t worry, I’ll protect you. After all this ends, I’ll make sure of it," she said as he bowed and walked off.
One of the guards asked Queen Elizabeth, "Should we eliminate them before they spread the news?"
"No," Queen Elizabeth casually said. "Let them spread the news. That’s the aim."
"Yes," the guard nodded and left.
The guards were all gone, all standing at the entrance to protect the chamber while leaving Queen Elizabeth and King Edward alone in there.
King Edward lay in bed, pale and sick. He was awake while all this was happening, but was too stunned to speak.
He only watched as it all unfolded until everyone was out. Now Queen Elizabeth stood before him while he lay there in bed.
He was sick. His face almost lifeless. He couldn’t even move well in bed without hurting all over. His stomach was still hurting the most and it made him ache everywhere.
He felt as though he was completely falling apart.
King Edward stared at Queen Elizabeth. "What’s all this....?" he managed to say. "What... are you doing...?"
Queen Elizabeth turned to stare at him. "Isn’t it obvious, my dear husband? I’m here to pay you a visit. A last visit," she smiled.
King Edward stared at her, fear written all over his face. He was speechless for a moment as Queen Elizabeth smiled further.
And then he found himself asking, "This... The dagger... you... what... you..." He was picking up some dots now.
She smiled. "It was poisoned, of course. Poisoned with the hardest poison one could find."
King Edward gasped in shock as he stared at the Queen. She simply smiled as she said, "What? Did you think I would just stab you and let you walk away and get healed while I rot in jail? Am I that stupid in your mind, my dear husband?" she asked, now laughing hysterically.
King Edward only stared at her in shock as she continued.
"And I couldn’t just have stabbed you and killed you that easily. It would be a quick death for all the evil you’ve done. So a slow and painful death like this is best fitting for a monster like you. Don’t you think so, my husband?"
King Edward’s expression kept getting paler with fear. He couldn’t believe the words he heard, neither could he believe the monster standing before him delivering them.
He never expected such.
With a sharp gasp and blood that spilled from his lips, he said in what seemed like a yell, "Guards! Come in! Save me! Physician! Come! Help me..." Blood spilled from his lips, but he struggled to speak.
Queen Elizabeth sighed. "You’re just going to kill yourself faster. You’re just stressing yourself, because no one will ever come to your aid even if they hear it. Are you that dumb that you still haven’t figured that out till now?" She smiled at him.
King Edward stared at her, and at that moment it slowly began making full sense to him. He realized in that moment that he had been played big time.
He gasped. "You..." He gasped. "How long... you... you did... you... how long..." Words had betrayed him.
Queen Elizabeth smiled as she turned. "Now you know? Well, that’s too bad. I don’t know the details exactly, but it’s been my little project for a while now. And I’m glad it gave the right reaction from you."
"You traitor! This is treason, you mad woman... how... why... how could you betray me like this?" he snapped with his strength while spilling blood.
Queen Elizabeth scoffed as she turned and stared at him, her eyes cold and teasing. "Treason? Traitor? Do I look like I care? How’s everyone going to know what it is if you’re dead and I come up with something satisfactory?"
He stared at her in shock as she continued, "I’ve been planning this for ages. So what makes you think I haven’t thought it all through? If you’re not alive to tell the tale, who would they believe? Me, of course, who has the full story." She smiled.
Fear gripped him more as he glared at her. "Why are you doing this...?"
He asked, "Why...? We can talk it out... we can... we can... you don’t have to resort to doing this. Huh? Let’s talk it out..."
She smiled as she stared at him, enjoying every bit of desperate expression on his face. She slowly walked up to him. "Do you remember? The same words I said to you. The same way I knelt before you, the same way I desperately begged you... Doesn’t it ring a bell to you now?" she questioned.
And at that moment it did ring a bell. And King Edward gasped in immense shock as the memories came crashing down on him.
