[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 271: A Noble Visit
Eden was quiet, staring at her. He didn’t know what she had in mind or how it was going to pan out. But he was certain she had planned it for a long time. Meticulously crafted it out of fury and contempt. And she had fashioned it in the best way she could.
And no one was going to stop her.
"I’ll do as you say," Eden said. "I’ll take him away and make sure he’s safe." He hesitated before adding, "Just make sure you’re safe."
"Don’t worry about me," she stared at him. "Just worry about not getting killed at the engagement."
Eden let out a smile. "Don’t worry. I won’t."
It was a conversation that went as simply as that. Eden didn’t ask further questions. All he needed to know was that Queen Elizabeth had an ace up her sleeve and wasn’t the typical pushover.
Shocking as it was, it was still satisfying to know. And now all he had to do was take Elvis away and watch her play her cards.
******
Queen Elizabeth was in jail.
The First Queen of Valencrest stood casually in the caged room, hands behind her as she stared into thin air.
It had been a day now and she was calm. Calmer than anyone in her situation would be. She hadn’t had anything to eat and didn’t even bother. She only stood there in jail, pacing around the prison room.
No one touched her. They didn’t dare. The king’s order to beat her up didn’t hold because all the guards did was stand at the gate of the prison and guard her.
No one came in to lay a finger on her. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
She stood there in jail, pacing around calmly, before suddenly someone walked into the scene. The guard who came stood at the gate as Queen Elizabeth stared in his direction.
"So? How’s his condition?"
"Terrible," the guard said. "They thought it was a mere cut and are trying all they can to heal it, but it keeps getting worse."
He continued, "His condition keeps getting worse by the hour. He looks miserable. He is pale, keeps spilling blood, and just looks like one who is about to die any minute now. But everyone is forbidden from talking about this."
Queen Elizabeth stood there calmly while she listened to the message, as though she had been expecting the same words. "Fools," she scoffed. "Why are they wasting their time with a dead man?"
She sighed and turned, staring at the wall for a while. "Where is he now?"
"In his room. As always."
"And how’s the situation overall?"
"Everything is set, My Queen," the guard said in a low voice.
Queen Elizabeth casually cleared her throat and then added, "Then I guess it’s time to bring all these games to an end. I shall have to draw the line."
Without even asking to know what she meant by that or letting her elaborate, the guards immediately opened the gates of the prison.
She was free.
They bowed to her as she turned and walked out of the prison. And without questions, the guard who had come to bring information to her followed behind her while the others stood by the gate.
Queen Elizabeth majestically made her way out of the premises of the prison. No one dared stop her. Most of the guards who saw her simply stood by, bowing in respect.
Some were shocked. And then as she moved, some guards were brave enough to attack.
"Stop her from leaving—" they tried pulling their swords on her. But other guards amongst them pulled their swords and ended them.
All who wanted to take down the Queen at that moment had been taken down by their colleagues, obviously working for Queen Elizabeth.
And Queen Elizabeth didn’t bother looking in their direction. She casually walked off and made her way to pay the king a final visit.
****
The palace was quiet. Extremely quiet. With the king in such a situation, no one dared move around as they wished. Neither did anyone speak up and down.
They all stayed quiet.
And Queen Elizabeth now majestically made her way through the corridors. She had soldiers and guards behind her, all following her with their weapons.
She walked before them, her chin up and her eyes cold. Her expression was murderous as she walked through the palace corridors.
The maids who saw her simply bowed without a second thought.
And soon, she finally arrived at the door to the king’s chambers.
Some guards were there, keeping it safe. And as soon as they saw the Queen, they stepped aside and bowed in respect. No words were needed because they understood their part of the plan.
They made way for her and Queen Elizabeth stepped into the king’s chamber with her guards. And as she stepped in, the physicians there all turned to stare in her direction.
The physicians and a few court men were in there, watching in anticipation as the physicians struggled to save the king.
"My husband doesn’t need these crowds here, so leave this instant," Queen Elizabeth said to them all.
They stared at her, shocked.
"And what the hell is she doing here? Wasn’t this monster thrown into prison? Why is she here?" one of the court nobles questioned.
"Why is she out! This treasonous woman! Guards, quickly take this monster away this instant!" another panicked.
But no guard moved at all.
Queen Elizabeth smiled as she stared at them. "I’m here to see my dear husband; it’s my right. You all are the ones who shouldn’t be here. So you should leave... before I force you all out." She stared at them coldly.
The court nobles were stunned. They could see the murderous intention in her eyes as memories of her stabbing the king came running back to them.
But one of them said, "I won’t step a foot out of here! Neither will I let this devil see the king!"
Queen Elizabeth scoffed.
