Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 796 - 663: Ready to Elope with Whom? (Three Updates)
Tong Airui gave a command, and the room instantly became as bright as daylight.
Baili Zijin was blinded by the intense light and shut her eyes, lowering her head to recover. Only then did she raise her gaze toward Tong Airui.
"How could it be you!" Baili Zijin screamed hysterically.
Tong Airui chuckled lightly, "Tong Aino said he feels disgusted whenever he sees you and asked me to check up on you. After coming here, I realized you’re even more revolting than he described."
"Impossible! He’s always been so good to me. He wouldn’t find me disgusting. It’s you—it’s all your fabrication!"
"Self-deception!" Tong Airui turned and left the room.
"Aino! I want to see Tong Aino! Tong Aino—" Baili Zijin screamed madly in the room.
Tong Airui put on his clothes and frowned, saying, "Shut her mouth."
"Understood!"
A few moments later, the room fell silent. Tong Airui quickly headed to Yuan Hang’s room. The door to his room was still locked. Glancing around, Tong Airui took out a silenced pistol and unlocked the door.
Yuan Hang heard the sound and instantly leapt out of bed, "Who is it!"
"It’s me. Come outside for a moment."
Yuan Hang hastily opened the door, "Master, what happened?"
"Immediately investigate who Sato Hara’s siblings are."
"Master, the four siblings fought for the throne, and Sato Hara killed two of them. Another one, who wasn’t the sharpest, passed away from illness in Country T last year."
"Expand the scope. Include cousins, distant relatives, everyone. Check their whereabouts as well." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Understood!"
Tong Airui shot him a sidelong glance, "Also, top off the plane with fuel."
Yuan Hang grinned, "Master, did they give you much trouble? I was careless yesterday and fell into their trap."
Tong Airui sneered slightly, "You deliberately walked into that trap. Don’t think I don’t know."
"You’re pinning that on me unjustly."
"Hurry up! I’m leaving in the morning."
"Are you seriously not bringing anyone this time?"
"Not bringing anyone. We’re heading to a place where nobody knows us. We’ll return in a week."
"Then you better be careful."
"Without you, I’ll have fewer people scheming against me."
"Master, some things are better left unsaid when both of us understand them." Yuan Hang laughed and ran out.
When Kou’er came out, there was nobody outside anymore.
Tong Airui returned to his room and saw his wife still sleeping. From the wardrobe, he took out a suitcase and packed a few simple outfits into it.
"Planning to elope with someone?" Yi Luowa murmured, her half-closed eyes darting toward him.
"With you!" Tong Airui chuckled, "We’re going on a honeymoon."
Yi Luowa rubbed her eyes, "Honeymoon? Should we bring the kids along?"
"This time, we’re not bringing anyone—just the two of us."
Yi Luowa rolled onto her stomach, lying on the bed and gazing at him intently. "What about the kids?"
"Ziyan and Sangyu will follow Dad back to Xiawu; Zi Xi will go with Mom to Haotian. We’ll play for seven days and then head to Haotian for the welcome-back feast."
Yi Luowa hesitated but was a little tempted, "Where do you plan on taking me?"
"The Saha grasslands. I’ll take you to stay in yurts, eat meat, drink wine, and ride horses galloping across the vast plains."
"You’re making it sound so tempting! But what about all the guests on the ship?"
"Uncle Leng and Dad can entertain them. The military guests have Colin and Lao Ba; the business guests have Lao Wu. If they hadn’t detained us, we’d already be on our way to the Saha grasslands by now." Tong Airui checked the time. "Yuan Hang should have refueled the plane. Why don’t we leave right now?"
Yi Luowa hesitated briefly before crawling out from under the blanket. "As long as someone looks after the kids, I can rest easy—let’s go!"
"Quickly change your clothes; you don’t need to bring anything else. I’ve got everything prepared on the plane."
"Alright." Yi Luowa slipped into her outfit, "How’s the battle over there?"
"It’s almost over. You don’t need to worry. Just focus on enjoying yourself."
Yi Luowa pursed her lips and smiled.
Ten minutes later, as everyone else slept soundly, Tong Airui and Yi Luowa boarded the plane.
"Hubby, it’s my first time seeing you pilot a plane—you look unbelievably handsome!" Yi Luowa, seated in the co-pilot’s chair, smiled sweetly at Tong Airui.
"Want me to teach you? Then you can fly on your own someday."
Yi Luowa scoffed, "I was just complimenting you, and now you think you’re that impressive? I got my pilot’s license when I was eighteen!"
"You did? How come I didn’t know that?"
"It wasn’t worth mentioning, so I never told you."
"Where’s your license now?"
Yi Luowa pouted, "Second Uncle said it was dangerous to fly planes, so he confiscated my license. He hasn’t given it back to me since."
Tong Airui glanced at her affectionately, "With me around, wherever you want to go, I’ll take you. That license is of no use to you."
"Sigh... I have a feeling we won’t get many chances to go on trips like this."
"Once we find a suitable successor, I’ll step down from my position and take you traveling all around the world."
Yi Luowa laughed as she gazed at him, "Our dad wanted to retire ten years ago, yet even now, he hasn’t stepped down. Do you really think you’ll be able to? Don’t try to make me happy—I won’t blame you. It’s fine just the way it is."
Tong Airui smiled warmly and ruffled her hair, "I knew I married the best wife."
Yi Luowa laughed and knocked his hand away, "Focus on flying—we’re still in the air."
"As you wish!"
They flew for nearly three hours, finally reaching the skies above the Saha grasslands. Watching the galloping horses below, Yi Luowa exclaimed excitedly, "Hubby, look—so many horses!"
Tong Airui took a look below and smiled. The expansive greenery of the grasslands stretched out like a heavenly carpet. The green grass met the blue sky in the distance, where horses galloped, cattle and sheep chased each other, and herders sang with raised whips. Everywhere was an idyllic scene of wind-blown grass revealing the livestock beneath.
"Here, you can ride horses or ostriches to explore the grass plains. You can drive around the lakes, fish by the shore, or hunt in the woods. I’ll do every single activity with you."
"Are we really staying in tents?"
"Yes, I booked them ahead of time." Tong Airui glanced at her with a smile, "Sit tight; we’re about to land."
"Alright, yay—landing!"
The plane landed in an open area. Tong Airui helped Yi Luowa out of the plane. "No one knows us here, nor will anyone know we came. Sweetheart, turn off your phone, and we’ll enjoy several days of a peaceful retreat."
Yi Luowa hesitated briefly but then turned off her phone after seeing him do the same.
"Dad, the guests from afar have arrived!" A young man, about seventeen or eighteen years old, came running toward them. "Brother, sister, hello!"
"Hello, Bagen!" Tong Airui shook his hand firmly.
"Brother, sister, please come in!"
"Welcome, guests!" A middle-aged man holding a khata scarf came forward quickly.
"Hello, Uncle Sude!"
"Hello!" Sude draped the khata scarf around Tong Airui and Yi Luowa’s necks.
"Thank you, Uncle Sude." Yi Luowa smiled warmly as she greeted the host.
"Hello! Please, come inside the tent."
Yi Luowa looked at the yurt ahead—its bright white exterior shone on the fluffy grass like pearls. It seemed like lotus flowers blossoming on a lush green carpet. Up close, the intricate patterns on its surface were even more striking.
"It’s so beautiful!"
"Don’t be fooled by its modest exterior—the inside is like a palace." Tong Airui smiled and took her hand as they walked in.
When Yi Luowa stepped inside, she was awestruck. Tong Airui hadn’t exaggerated—everything was expertly furnished, and indeed, it was reminiscent of a royal palace.
Sude exchanged a few brief pleasantries with them before stepping out. Once alone, Yi Luowa threw her arms around Tong Airui’s neck. "Hubby, I’ve barely started exploring, but I already love this place! When we grow old, let’s live here and retire—does that sound good?"
"Whatever you say! If you love it, we can bring the kids here before we grow old. Ziyan and Sangyu love horses—I’ll teach them to ride."
"You’re the best hubby ever!" Yi Luowa giggled and kissed him.
"We’ll eat something in a bit, and then I’ll take you out to play."
"Airui-ge, can I come in?" chirped a sweet voice from outside the tent.
Yi Luowa let go of Tong Airui and turned toward the door. "Please come in!"
A girl entered, carrying food. "My mom made this for you. We’re not sure if it’ll suit your taste."
Yi Luowa smiled as she took the tray, "It looks delicious—I’m sure it tastes amazing. Thank you!"
The girl looked her up and down and smiled, "Sister, you’re so beautiful!"
Yi Luowa replied politely, "You’re so pretty yourself! My name is Luowa. What is your name?"
"Sister, I’m Wu Yun." Wu Yun turned to Tong Airui with a grin. "Brother, if there’s anything you’re not used to, let us know. I’ll make sure to help you."
Tong Airui smiled lightly, "Thank you. I’m sure we’ll need your help these next few days."
