Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 692 - 586: How Is Her Grandson Pitiable? (Part 1)
Celia quickly stepped forward, "Oh dear, let Auntie show some love to this little cutie!"
"Hold on!" What little cutie?! Tong Yao’s temper flared instantly, "Connie said before, when the baby comes out of the delivery room, Luowa has to be the first to hold him."
Celia’s hand had already touched the corner of the blanket. Hearing Tong Yao’s words, she turned back, annoyed, looking at her, "Aunt, are you trying to embarrass me?"
Marian gave her a glare, "Celia, is this the tone you use with your elders?!"
Yi Luowa, hearing the commotion outside, stuffed Ziyan into Tong Airui’s arms and said quietly, "You and Dad better stay put. A person like her isn’t worth dealing with."
Yi Luowa opened the door and walked out.
Still upset from being scolded by her mother-in-law, Celia, with lingering resentment, looked at Tong Yao and asked, "Aunt, why does Connie’s baby have to be held by Yi Luowa first?"
"Second sister-in-law, you don’t know? It’s because I’m universally loved by people and flowers alike!" Yi Luowa responded with a grin as she approached the baby, slightly shifted her position to bump Celia aside, and reached to take the baby from Jimo Shanshan’s arms.
Strangely enough, the little one who had been crying pitifully a moment ago instantly stopped crying as soon as he was held by Yi Luowa.
Jimo Shanshan chuckled, "Luowa, you really are universally loved by people and flowers alike!"
Yi Luowa glanced at Celia and quietly said, "Celia, if you truly care about Connie, then keep your mouth shut—our family might tolerate you once or twice, but don’t count on a third time!" 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Celia frowned, about to retort.
Yi Luowa’s eyes narrowed warningly, "You know better than anyone else what you lost the first time you caused trouble. If you stir up drama again this time... deal with the consequences yourself!"
As Yi Luowa spoke, she shot a look at Jimo Shanshan, and the two of them smiled as they approached Tong Yao. "Mom, look at our little Ziheng, doesn’t he look better than Ziyan?"
Tong Yao gently unfolded the baby’s blanket, lovingly gazing at him for a while before chuckling, "Ziheng does look prettier than his older brother did when he was just born."
Tong Yao took Marian’s hand, "In-law, you should take a look too."
Marian glanced at her grandson and smiled, "He takes after his father a lot."
Angelina came over too, "Oh, he really does—just like Eno."
Lady Jing Ya, Prince Charles, Tong Jiaqi, Tao Yanran, Teng Qian, Lance, and Maizekai all gathered around, each taking turns to compliment the little one.
Marian listened, her nose stinging with emotion, and she almost shed tears.
Yi Luowa gave her a puzzled look and gently tapped her mother-in-law’s arm.
Tong Yao lightly shook her head and smiled, "Take Ziheng over to your dad; he must be impatient waiting to see him!"
Yi Luowa nodded and carried the baby to the hospital room, followed by Lady Jing Ya and the others.
Shortly after, laughter filled the room.
Marian froze for a moment, then shamefully glanced at Tong Yao.
She wanted to speak, but Tong Yao didn’t give her a chance. "Connie will be out soon. Whatever you want to say, let’s wait until we’re home."
Marian nodded and looked up at Celia, standing alone at the delivery room door. "Take one look at Connie, then go back to Raman!"
"Mom!"
Marian sternly said, "If you still acknowledge me as your mother, listen to what I tell you and go back!"
"Aunt..." Celia pitifully turned to Angelina.
Angelina sighed, "Do whatever your mother-in-law tells you. And don’t mention that issue to Connie. She just gave birth and shouldn’t be stressed."
"But..."
"Celia! Do you even realize that your insistence on boarding that plane caused your brother and sister-in-law, as well as Lucian, to disembark?!" By now, there were few people left in the hallway, and Teng Qian didn’t care to save her any face.
Celia’s lips moved slightly but, in the end, she said nothing and slumped onto the bench.
Tong Yao glanced at her brother and softly cleared her throat.
Teng Qian shot his sister a look that said, "Stay out of this."
Tong Yao pinched his arm in annoyance.
"Who came up with the name Ziheng? It sounds pretty good." Angelina pinched Teng Qian’s other arm.
Teng Qian winced in pain.
"His brother did."
"Who?" Teng Qian asked with a laugh.
Tong Yao chuckled, "Ziyan did. When Ziheng was five months along, we already knew he was a boy. Long Che kept hoping for another granddaughter. But when it didn’t happen, he got upset and announced to the whole family that he wouldn’t name any more boys. So Connie asked Ziyan, ’Ziyan, why don’t you pick a name for your little brother?’ Ziyan casually blurted out ’Heng’..."
