Chapter 656: Chapter 558 Keep the Claws for Me (First Update)

Yi Luowa grinned and said, "I’ve got this, I’m her mom, so don’t worry."

Long Che’s brows furrowed higher and higher. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust his daughter-in-law; he just couldn’t bear to be apart from his granddaughter.

Dad’s thoughts were written all over his face. Tong Airui sighed, "How about this—why don’t you and Mom take Sangyu with you? Does that work?"

Long Che and Yi Luowa both turned to Tong Airui.

Tong Airui winked at his wife, and Yi Luowa finally stayed silent.

Long Che frowned and said, "Sangyu and Ziyan have never been apart since they were born."

"Then take both of them along and let them keep you company."

Long Che nodded, "That’s a great idea."

Tong Yao came out and overheard her son’s comment, giving Long Che a displeased look. A man in his fifties acting so clingy like a child—it had completely flummoxed her son, leaving him no choice but to offer both kids up.

"Ma, Ma—" Sangyu spotted her mom and stretched her arms out toward Yi Luowa.

Yi Luowa hurried over and took her daughter from her mother-in-law’s arms.

"Mama..." Sangyu gleefully grabbed her mom’s shoulder tabs.

"Ma-ma!" Yi Luowa corrected her.

"Hmm~" Sangyu wriggled her little bum in protest.

"Let your mom change clothes before holding you," Long Che stepped up, trying to take Sangyu.

Sangyu clung tightly to her mom’s neck, "No, no, no, no..."

"Dad, don’t bother her—let Luowa hold her. We both washed our hands before we got back, and Luowa didn’t go out today; her clothes are clean too."

"Clean, clean!" Sangyu hugged her mom’s neck and kicked her little foot at Grandpa.

Yi Luowa pretended to be angry, "Who are you kicking? Where’s your manners?!"

Sangyu pouted and buried her head into her mom’s neck.

Yi Luowa smiled and gave her a light pat on her little bum, "Where’s your brother?"

"Asleep!"

"Then why are you awake?"

"Pee!"

"Haha... other kids nearing one year old can’t even talk this clearly," Tong Airui chuckled, pinching his daughter’s little nose. "Go sit with your mom over on the sofa. When your brother wakes up, let Mom record a video to send to Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle."

Sangyu touched her nose and gave her dad an unhappy look, "Hit hit!"

"Sangyu!" Yi Luowa looked down at her daughter. These two little ones had been learning something bad lately—calling out ’hit hit’ to whoever rubbed them the wrong way.

"Hehe..." Sangyu scrunched her little nose and looked at her mom sweetly.

Seeing her daughter’s adorably silly expression, Yi Luowa felt her heart melt into a puddle. She carried her daughter over to the sofa.

Sangyu lay on her mom’s shoulder, looking at her dad. She stretched out her little hands and called, "Ba-ba—"

"Play with Mom for a bit first. Dad’s going to change clothes, then I’ll join you," Tong Airui grabbed his wife’s coat and bag and quickly headed upstairs.

Actually, Sangyu didn’t really want to play with her dad in the first place. After he went upstairs, she didn’t pay much attention and was engrossed in standing on her mom’s lap and fiddling with her shoulder tabs.

Yi Luowa laughed, "Be careful dealing with those tabs, sweetheart—Mom might have to wear them for the rest of her life."

Tong Yao chuckled, "At the very least, you’ll be promoted every three years—you won’t wear those for your whole life."

"My mom sure knows her stuff!" Yi Luowa laughed, glancing at Long Che.

Long Che quipped sarcastically, "Your mom’s got skills!"

"Skilled—" Sangyu said as she lowered her head to try and nibble her mom’s shoulder tabs.

Yi Luowa quickly pushed her little head aside, "This isn’t for eating. If you’re hungry, Mom will go find you something to eat."

"Eat!" Sangyu stubbornly lowered her head again.

Yi Luowa frowned, "Naughty—Mom’s going to spank your bum!"

Sangyu pouted her little mouth, "Bad!"

Yi Luowa couldn’t help but smile helplessly, "Is ’bad’ and ’hit hit’ all you’ve learned lately? Who’s been teaching you?"

"Me, of course," Youyou dashed into the room from the entrance. "Sis, you’re back! Where’s Mi Chenxuan?"

Yi Luowa rolled her eyes at him, "Your Fourth Brother sent him to the border—he won’t be back until this time next year."

"Ah... jerk!" Youyou grumbled, "I don’t buy it! Sangyu learned from her aunt: Bad—Jerk—Mom is the biggest jerk!"

"Jerk—!"

"Haha, yep! Jerk!"

Yi Luowa raised her foot to kick her playful brother, but Youyou dodged and jumped to the side.

"Where’s Mom? You didn’t lose her and come back by yourself, did you?"

"Mom! Lost!"

"Stop adding fuel to the fire!" Youyou chuckled as he ruffled Sangyu’s hair, "Mom’s still in the car—I ran in ahead. I thought Mi Chenxuan would have returned too... I’ll go help Mom out."

Watching as Youyou dashed back outside, Yi Luowa couldn’t help but smile wryly.

One by one, the family members returned home, and Long Che finally stopped arguing with Tong Yao about traveling to S Country. The house was peaceful at last.
