Chapter 325: Chapter 294: How Have I Offended You? (Second Release)

Tong Aino didn’t dare come downstairs. She turned around and ran back to the bedroom.

Mi Chenxuan shared the exciting news with his parents and, on his way past Tong Aino’s room, pressed the doorbell twice before strolling leisurely downstairs.

Tong Aino took forever to open the door and shouted at Mi Chenxuan’s retreating back, "Just you wait! I’ll come down and chop off your paws later!"

Mi Chenxuan chuckled, "Come on, when you get down here, let’s see whose paws get chopped off!"

Yi Luowa watched them and couldn’t help but laugh. Life is always livelier with a crowded house.

Mi Chenxuan stayed here for two days before heading to the Sword Organization with Little Fish and Little Mule.

Yan Zi and Mi Xiaotian felt reluctant but were proud of their son’s success, never wanting to hold him back.

Yi Luowa later learned that the Sword Organization was a powerful secret tool of Xia Wu. Its existence was shrouded in mystery, with no known base, yet its reputation was renowned worldwide. Xia Wu’s many hard-fought victories were achieved through the sharp strikes of this sword.

When the holiday arrived, Tong Airui sent Yi Luowa to the manor. After only three days, Yi Weiyang started urging her to leave.

Yi Luowa, frustrated, pouted, "Everyone says a married daughter is like spilled water, but you really treat me like water and toss me out, huh?"

Yi Weiyang gave her a helpless look, "I’m only worried about Airui. Look how exhausted he is, waking up early and working hard every day."

Yi Luowa pouted, "I’ve already told him not to travel back and forth, but he wouldn’t listen. How is that my fault?"

Huo Li emerged carrying freshly washed grapes and popped one into Yi Luowa’s mouth. "Your husband’s complexion is getting worse every day; if this keeps up, I’m afraid he’ll work himself sick. You better head back soon."

Yi Luowa pressed her lips together. His poor complexion was his own doing. No matter how late he returned, he wouldn’t skip *that thing*. Still, annoyed as she was, her husband was hers to take care of. No one else would do it for her.

"Fine then, I’ll call him and tell him not to come anymore. I’ll head back shortly." Yi Luowa finished her sentence and heard no response. She turned and noticed Uncle Weiyang, who she found Huo Li feeding grapes, but Uncle Weiyang obstinately refused to open his mouth. What was going on here?!

Huo Li noticed Yi Luowa’s gaze and grumbled, "Your uncle is getting more disobedient by the day. Eating fruit now feels harder than taking medicine."

Yi Luowa’s mouth twitched, "Then throw a tantrum and force him to eat! I’m leaving!"

"Luowa..." Yi Weiyang had just started to say something when Huo Li shoved a grape into his mouth. He reluctantly swallowed it and said to Yi Luowa, "We have fresh venison at home. Take some back to Airui to nourish him."

Yi Luowa nodded, grabbed the venison, and got into the car. "I’ll be back in a few days."

Yi Weiyang buckled her seatbelt. "When you arrive, give me a call. I’ll be heading to T Country soon to negotiate some business matters over there."

"You’re going alone?" Yi Luowa asked, sounding a bit worried.

"I’m going with him!" Huo Li said with a giggle.

Yi Weiyang paused briefly, smiled, and closed the car door. "Call me when you get home."

"Alright. Bye, Uncle! Bye, Pig!" Yi Luowa waved goodbye with a smile.

Yi Luowa returned to the main house, saw that it was still early, handed the venison to the gatekeeper, and wandered into the house, hoping to play with Bandit. But the living room showed no sign of the dog.

Yi Luowa stepped back out and called over a guard. "Where’s Bandit?"

The guard replied, "Bandit didn’t adapt well here and got sick. We had to send him back."

"Was it serious?" Yi Luowa asked, sounding concerned.

The guard quickly shook his head. "Not serious, but for some reason, Bandit was doing well at Dr. Blade’s place, but as soon as we brought him back, he became lethargic again."

"Then let him stay there," Yi Luowa muttered, disappointed, as she returned to the living room and called Uncle Weiyang to confirm her safe arrival.

Kou’er brought in some washed fruit for her. "Luowa Sis, have some fruits."

Yi Luowa grabbed a grape, and Huo Li’s image feeding grapes to Uncle Weiyang flashed in her mind.

"I was just thirsty, and now there’s fruit waiting for me as soon as I arrive! Haha..." As Yi Luowa zoned out for a moment, Yuan Hang walked in, grabbed a grape, and popped it into his mouth.

Kou’er sneered at him with mild disdain and placed the fruit platter on the coffee table.

Yuan Hang chuckled, "Worried I’ll eat it? The fruit I bring is even fresher."

As soon as Yuan Hang finished speaking, two subordinates came in carrying a large basket of fruit.

Yi Luowa glanced at it, "This much will rot before we can finish it."

"Grandpa said to bring it. I wouldn’t dare skimp!" Yuan Hang smiled. "He knows you’re back and is really happy. At this point, if you ask him for the stars, he might just try to pluck them for you."

Yi Luowa pursed her lips and laughed, "Then tell him later that I want the moon."

"No problem!" Yuan Hang gestured for the team to place the items in the kitchen. Once everything was set, he came out and said, "Grandpa won’t be able to return soon. If you find yourself needing anything, let me know, and I’ll have them deliver it."

"I doubt there’s anything missing." Yi Luowa pushed the fruit plate toward him. "Stay, have some fruit before you leave."

Yuan Hang shook his head with a smile. "Didn’t you catch how Kou’er looked at me earlier? I wouldn’t dare. I’ll make myself scarce."

Yi Luowa glanced at Kou’er, realizing this girl really resembled her. Happiness and displeasure alike were always written across her face.

After seeing Yuan Hang off, Yi Luowa pulled Kou’er onto the couch. "What’s Yuan Hang done to offend you?"

Kou’er pouted, "Ever since I can remember, the instructors were always talking about how amazing Tong Yuanhang is, how hard he trains, telling us we should look up to him. But when I finally met him, I felt cheated. Look at him, loafing around every day..."

"That’s an unfair judgment of Yuan Hang. All his accomplishments were fought for with his own life. He might seem idle, but he’s busier than anyone. Tong Airui’s safety depends entirely on him."

Kou’er lowered her head remorsefully at Yi Luowa’s words.

Yi Luowa smiled and patted Kou’er’s hand. "You protect me, Yuan Hang protects Tong Airui; we’re all family. If you two don’t get along, it might give the bad guys an opening."

Kou’er quickly nodded, "Luowa Sis, I understand."

Yi Luowa grinned, "Our Kou’er is the smartest! Enough fretting, go share the fruits in the kitchen with the team outside. If it’s just the two of us eating, it’ll all rot."

Kou’er agreed and went to distribute the fruit.

Yi Luowa lay bored on the sofa, turned on the TV, but before the screen even showed an image, Ai Ni’s call came through.

"Ai Ni, where are you?" Yi Luowa quickly turned off the TV and chatted with Ai Ni.

"I just got back to S Country. I walked into the palace and saw Shi Qing—it scared me to death."

Ai Ni’s voice was quiet, so Yi Luowa pressed the phone closer and asked, "What did she do to scare you?"

"Her face—it’s like it’s not hers anymore!" Ai Ni said, frowning. "Looks like she swapped faces or something."

Yi Luowa burst out laughing, "Haha... bet she stunned you with her beauty."

Ai Ni pouted, "She’s awful; no amount of beauty helps. Just seeing her ruins my appetite. I want to go home."

"Would you leave You Jia behind?" Yi Luowa teased.

"Of course not! But I have to go back soon. In another twenty-odd days, it’ll be Z Country’s Spring Festival. Though Xia Wu doesn’t celebrate as strongly, our family traditions haven’t changed."

Yi Luowa scratched her head. "This Spring Festival tradition—this is the first time I’m hearing you mention it."

"I just talked to Mom. She didn’t want me to tell you, said you should focus on staying with my brother."

Yi Luowa smiled warmly; her mother-in-law was truly kind to her. "Since I know now, I might as well go back and help out."

Ai Ni quickly responded, "No need. Over the years, the aunts have been managing it all; there’s no place for us to help anyway."

"Ai Ni, can I come in?" Just as Yi Luowa was about to reply, a voice came through the phone. One that sounded familiar. Yi Luowa pouted—this voice must belong to Shi Qing. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Ai Ni sighed quietly, "Sis, Shi Qing’s here. I’ll call you later."

Yi Luowa listened to the busy signal and reluctantly set down her phone. Ai Ni had hung up so quickly she hadn’t had the chance to warn her about Shi Qing.

Thinking it over, she chuckled to herself; perhaps she was overthinking it. Shi Qing hated her—what harm could she possibly do to Ai Ni?
