Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 276 - 259: Your Brother Calls You to Get Up (Part 3 of the Night)_3
"Morning!" The old man smiled warmly at the children. "Why didn’t you sleep in a little?"
"The early bird gets the worm." Yi Luowa giggled and pulled Connie down the stairs. "Connie, I’m going to check on my second uncle."
Connie smiled and nodded.
Teng Tianxiang chuckled, "Your second uncle got up early. Right now, he’s walking in the garden with your dad and uncle."
Yi Luowa puffed her cheeks. "We’ve told him not to get out of bed alone, but he just won’t listen."
"Starting to nag at me first thing in the morning!" Yi Weiyang and Long Che walked in, laughing.
Teng Qian and Teng Kailun followed after them.
Yi Weiyang grinned and said, "Luowa, just now your uncle asked if PCW could produce a large amphibious cargo truck. This one’s got me stumped. Got any ideas?"
Yi Luowa laughed, "Actually, it’s not that hard. I’ve read about amphibious vehicles before, and the military has lots of them, but I haven’t heard about cargo trucks being made like that. Here’s what I’ll do: I’ll spend the next few days researching, and then give it a try."
"See, I told you Luowa would have a solution!" Long Che glanced smugly at the two brother-in-laws.
Teng Qian cast him a look, then turned to Yi Luowa and said, "Luowa, it needs to have a large payload."
"A large payload needs greater buoyancy..." Yi Weiyang looked at Yi Luowa thoughtfully, a hint of concern in his voice. "We’ve always manufactured sports cars, and the tech team hasn’t really worked in this field. You’ve managed to pull off building a few big trucks, but I worry you might lack experience. How about I get you a few more helpers?"
"I’ll try first. If it doesn’t work, I’ll bring in some help later." Yi Luowa already had a plan in mind and smiled cheerfully as she replied.
"I’ve got some on hand. Let’s find a time to go check it out together." Tong Airui patted her head. His wife’s matters were his matters—he had to support her.
"Thanks, Brother-in-law!" Yi Luowa teased with a pouty grin.
Tong Airui’s expression immediately fell. "What did you just call me?"
"It’s just a code name." Yi Luowa laughed as she smoothed his chest. "Why are you so worked up about it?"
Tong Airui lowered his gaze to look at her, only to see her making a face at him. Unable to hold back, he burst into laughter.
Tong Yao and her two sisters-in-law emerged from the side room, casting a quick glance at the group in the living room.
Seeing her mother-in-law smile but noticing a faint trace of worry in her expression, Yi Luowa immediately straightened up and stood obediently beside Tong Airui.
Tong Yao gave an almost imperceptible glance at Connie, then turned to Yi Luowa and said, "Luowa, your uncle and aunt are leaving soon. Go wake up those lazybones, so we can have breakfast."
"Will do!" Yi Luowa replied briskly; disrupting others’ sleep was a task she enjoyed most.
Unfortunately, she hadn’t climbed more than three steps when the so-called lazybones came down in a line.
Duoduo’s eyes lit up the moment he saw her. "Old Auntie!"
Yi Luowa laughed as she picked him up. "What did you just call your aunt?"
"Old Auntie!" Duoduo said as he extended his little hand in front of Yi Luowa. "Give me money!"
Yi Luowa playfully smacked his tiny hand. "Calling me ’Old Auntie’ makes me sound like an old rag—how dare you ask me for money!"
"Money!" Duoduo stubbornly squirmed in Yi Luowa’s arms.
Their playful antics made everyone burst into laughter.
Tong Airui stepped forward, smiling as he held out a stack of red envelopes. He said to the children, "You four better call people properly—sweetly and clearly—and you’ll all get red envelopes."
Yi Luowa turned her head to glance at Tong Airui, smiling gratefully. She hadn’t thought about giving the children red envelopes—thankfully, he had.
