Chapter 98: 1 v 10 I

The Zotovian Transcendents present were very confused about the current situation.

The alarm bells rang as there was an intruder, and they also moved, thinking the intruder was very dangerous as the Light Spirit Race Lord who recently descended used his Pseudo-Authority.

But when they saw the intruder was just a Sovereign, they were very confused about why the Transcendent had reacted in such a manner.

But seeing all the other Transcendents also come in, only to start drawing upon their full power when seeing Jamie, as well as the dragon’s reaction to seeing him, they quickly figured this intruder was probably the Avatar of someone greater, just like they were.

They wanted to join the fight, however, the dragon had instructed them to scour the city to find other intruders, as Jamie’s presence could be only a distraction.

Although they had objections, they still willingly obeyed the orders and moved to scan the other parts of the city with their auras, reducing Jamie’s opponents to 8.

Not that it made things any easier though.

’Common sense dictates that I’d attack the half-vampire first to release the Blood Curse, I mean, I did try to run away so they know I’d go after the person who’s keeping me here.’

As if reading Jamie’s mind, three of the transcendents moved towards the half-vampire and surrounded him, as if protecting him from anything Jamie intended.

’And that plan goes down the drain.’

With that thought, Jamie moved to his next high-priority target—

*VUP!

"?!"

—the intermediate stage transcendent dragon.

"Ice Nova."

With the sheer amount of flame law energy he emitted just by floating there, no one needed to think twice to know that the man was a fire dragon, so Jamie chose an appropriate element for dealing with him.

There was the option of Water Nova, but the Ice Nova spell had a light that disoriented the senses of the target before the spell activation, keeping them in place long enough for their bodies to be covered in layer upon layer of ice.

But just as Jamie turned the dragon into an ice block, a volley of burning arrows hurtled towards him, prompting him to open up void portals and let all the arrows disappear into the abyss beyond them.

He then held out his right hand and caught about four of them in the gaps between his fingers, spun his body around before throwing them back to the archer elf.

Of course, she casually jumped backwards at supersonic speed to avoid the arrows, as she believed there was definitely something wrong with them, a thought that proved to be correct when they erupted into a group of distortions that crushed the surrounding space, a second after she left the area.

In that same second, the sword-wielding human transcendent blitzed in behind Jamie and slashed down, infusing his aura with the law of swords’ energy in an attempt to disrupt Jamie’s spatial phasing.

But the Hybrid simply chose to teleport to avoid the slash, and that proved to be a good decision.

**KAABOOMM!!!!

The slash hit the ground below where Jamie was, carving the earth apart all the way from the spot where it hit, down to the end of the continental shelf.

The distance was easily over a million square kilometres, and this single strike created a fissure in the earth that spanned that distance.

"Yep, getting hit by that was clearly not gonna end well for my head.

My phasing wouldn’t have even worked.

Never thought I’d one day admire the power of a transcendent."

[Dragon Breath!]

The air quivered with intense heat as the dragon Jamie had frozen broke out of his icy prison and unleashed a searing torrent of fiery destruction towards the Hybrid.

Jamie then proceeded to perform a breath-taking display of aerial acrobatics, deftly evading the dragon breath and letting surge towards the Void City below, where it was sure to consume everything existing there.

Luckily for the populace of Void City, one of the other transcendents summoned a protective barrier that materialised over the shield like an ethereal dome, preventing it from being burned to bits by the flames.

"Watch your attacks. You guys would destroy the city!"

"We have to move the fight elsewhere."

"Move?! That’s not possible!"

The Half vampire vehemently opposed the idea of moving as he was sure the instant he released his Blood curse, Jamie would be gone for good.

But they also couldn’t go all out as Void City below would be blown to smithereens if they all did.

While they were having this little argument, Jamie was busy dodging the rapid spear thrusts of the second elf, twisting his upper body in an absurd way to evade being impaled on the weapon before grabbing onto it with both hands.

His muscles bulged up under the uniform he wore, and then he pulled the woman towards him with all his might.

Before she could let go of the spear and back away, Jamie had already done so, freezing her body in space temporarily and then coating his right arm in blue lightning.

**BAMM! BAAM!! BAMMM!!!

Faster than the eye could see, Jamie delivered seven full-powered punches to her solar plexus, sending her body hurtling through the air and down into the dummy Void Gate building.

Each hit came with a spatial distortion attached; the same as all Jamie’s energy-based attacks did.

After delivering this flurry of blows, Jamie backed away to avoid the human swordsman, landing on the ground as he summoned the six swords he got when he was in Swuyle.

Instantly, the dragon who saw the blades realised the material that constituted more than 70% of their make-up; the bones of his brethren.

His face contorted slightly as he felt Jamie’s actions were no more than a taunt, but the Hybrid had simply summoned the first set of six swords in his subspace.

"Hexblade Dance."

Jamie activated one of the skills he recovered upon becoming a Sovereign, wielding two of the blades on his hands while the remaining four floated in the air behind him.

"Pseudo-Authority of Swords: Wave of Swords."

As if trying to outdo Jamie on the number of weapons being used, the human summoned a massive wave of blades that surged towards him with the fluidity of water; the kind of attack Jamie didn’t want to get hit by.

But of course, the human’s companions didn’t have the same intentions as Jamie did.

The ground cracked open and tendrils of condensed light shot out, latching onto Jamie’s arms and feet while a human-sized golem construct formed from the earth behind him and grabbed onto his back.

"Come one, at least allow me to use the skill!"

Jamie shouted as he engulfed his whole body in azure flames that burned away the light and melted the golem, allowing him to teleport behind the human and unleash his own attack.

The Dragon blitzed in front of him with multiple magic circles forming around his wrist and seeing this, Jamie skipped the first technique of his skill and went straight to the second.

"Crescent Strikes." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

He unleashed swift crescent-shaped strikes of his blue aura, creating a continuous wave of difficult-to-evade attacks in their direction, cutting apart the weaker Tier 3 and 4 magic circles the dragon was preparing.

As for the lone Tier 5 one, he used a different technique.

’Dagger’s Embrace.’

With emphasis on precision and speed, he stabbed straight at the centre of the magic circle, but it activated a second before his blade’s tip hit it.

**KAABOOMMMM!!!!

The sky was dyed red by the flames of the Fire Nova, parting a massive hole in the clouds. Not even a second later, a destructive breath of flames surged out of the smoke, surging straight towards the tower of the research facility and blasting it to bits.

The Light Spirit saw this and cancelled his attack in favour of protecting the facility from the debris of the falling tower.

As for Jamie, the Hybrid dodged all the attacks and using his six swords, he proceeded to block all the weapon attacks of the transcendents who attacked him from all directions.

In the end, he combined all six swords into one, unleashing a powerful synchronized attack that burst a hole in the shoulder of one of the only male of the three elven transcendents.

’Judgement of the Six.’

Still, Jamie did not come out of this exchange unscathed, as the Elf had succeeded in stabbing Jamie in the chest, a bit close to his heart.

Of course, such damage didn’t matter much to Jamie. The real damage was what came next.

The Human Transcendent descended on Jamie with a mighty sword slash, holding enough power that Jamie’s X2- durability might have simply just not existed.

In the blink of an eye, Jamie’s right arm was severed cleanly, with such a clean cut that it took his body a second to register the pain.

Within that second, another transcendent dashed in and delivered a high kick that sent Jamie sprawling to the side.

As the Hybrid’s form hurtled towards the earth, yet another transcendent dashed forward, seizing Jamie’s legs and spinning around.

The sheer force behind his motion culminated in a thunderous impact as Jamie was slammed onto the ground unceremoniously.

***BOOMMMM!!!!
