Beyond the Bloodline-Chapter 143: Regaining Transcendence
"...the Universe doesn’t dare bar me from achieving Transcendence again."
Jamie’s declaration caused the ambient Universal Laws in the area to tremble, as if reacting to his words.
However, that was all that it did, as his statement was indeed a fact.
"Let’s see who wins this race against time.
Would I Achieve Transcendence first or Ikerth would complete reconstructing his Avatar first?"
The man laughed lightly before teleporting away from his position.
Miranda locked onto his spatial traces before turning to Terrion and Dornik and speaking with her True Voice.
Prepare yourselves fully. We’d attack within the week.
Leaving that one line, she teleported to where Jamie had gone and rushed over to him.
"Jay."
"I’m already starting."
Jamie opened up his subspace and brought out the Mermaid Tears, along with the Fragment of Power he had stored In a Spatial Isolation bubble.
The fragment repeatedly knocked on the edge of the bubble, as if trying to attract itself to him but he pushed it away and let it hover in the air.
"There would not be enough time for you to regain as much Water Power as you’d need."
Miranda spoke about a concern she had and Jamie nodded in affirmation before replying.
"I’d just infuse my spatial power with water law energy—Spatial Water."
The man placed a hand on his chin and thought about the name for a bit before shaking his head.
"Doesn’t sound as nice as ’Spatial Destruction’. That’s the Ultimate combo. Everything about it is cool, from the name to the damage it deals."
Jamie chuckled lightly as he plopped down onto a random chair and grabbed the Mermaid Tear before beginning the absorption process.
He wasn’t trying to gain new powers but awaken what was already there so it was pretty easy for him to do this.
By the time night fell, Jamie was done with this and had recovered his Water Magic up to Tier 5.
Now, it was time for his power fragment.
He needed days to completely reabsorb this one.
The instant he released the spatial isolation, the fragment shot towards his chest and entered it faster than light.
It dissolved into his body and flowed through his energy circuits, heading straight for his energy core and soul.
Immediately, a spatial bubble formed around him and the man removed his clothes and tossed them into his subspace, moments before the bubble laid the foundation for an opaque cocoon of power to form around him.
Within the cocoon, Jamie’s whole body liquefied.
His bones, muscles, flesh, and organs liquified and slushed around within the cocoon.
The power mixed in with his body and reintegrated itself with his existence, a process that took two days.
After this, Jamie’s body was reconstructed and Miranda saw streams of iridescent energy pouring into the cocoon while that was happening.
Within the cocoon, Jamie was being met with a series of notifications.
Reconstruction Complete.
You have reached Level 900.
You have proven your qualifications to surpass mortality.
...
You have regained Transcendence.
Recalibrating Status

Pseudo-Authority of Space Awakened.
Pseudo-Authority of Gravity Awakened.

All Law Comprehensions Previously acquired at this stage would be Recovered.
At midnight on the third day, the process was finally completed.
Jamie’s feet touched down on the ground, his outward appearance not being any different from before.
He held out his right hand and flicked his fingers, watching as his nails transformed into claws.
’It’s a lot easier to shift now. That’s good.’
As he thought that, a new set of clothes emerged from his inventory and seamlessly phased onto his body. While buttoning the cuffs of the shirt, he inspected his status board.

"It’s a lot more organized than it was before."
He noted the absences of most of the ’Computing...’ messages and the ’Errors’. His Class was still not found, which wasn’t surprising as it was a Unique Class that was created by him at full power.
The Class technically ’did not exist’ until said power was restored.
His age was all question marks now and Jamie was a bit confused as to why it hadn’t displayed a number.
The only reason it had been displaying [Error...Interference Detected] before was because he had been concealing something about his past and his power messed with the part of the System that calculated his age.
Now, he had released that Concealment and yet it was still bugged.
"Oh well...that’s not too important."
The man’s focus was redirected to the Skills he had recovered, a number that was much more than he expected.
’I barely use most of these skills...’
Living for millions of years can lead one to acquire a multitude of skills and techniques just for the fun of it, most of which would eventually end up being abandoned.
Jamie was no exception, and after pressing the [...] button to display more of his skills, he saw many that he had even forgotten he had.
As for arrangement, the Skills were grouped according to their element and this made things easier to parse through.
While he was doing this, Miranda walked into the room.
"You’re finally done. You have no idea how close I was to killing some of those idiots who wanted to go to Eawin."
The woman clicked her tongue as she thought of the Transcendents of the Liberation Front who were so eager to attack the Dragons.
"If we were not here, they would not even have a shot at victory. Yet they’re the ones who want to charge in headfirst."
If it wasn’t for the fact that it would kill morale, she would have beat them all up and strung their half-dead bodied up in public for all to see.
She still beat them all up, though.
Took them on a quick trip to the moon and beat them across the planet’s satellite while they could barely breathe.
Of course, Terrion wanted to interfere but Miranda simply exercised more of her power and knocked him away before continuing her ’discipline’.
After that, all of them behaved themselves and they were even more responsive to her orders than Dornik’s.
"Anyway, now you’re done, let’s go beat that Lizard already."
Jamie smiled wryly as he noticed Miranda’s foul mood. It was obvious to anyone that she had been very pissed in the past few days and Dornik knew her beating up the Transcendents was just an excuse to vent her annoyance.
Only Jamie understood why she was annoyed. It was because Ikerth had reminded her about the Dead Zone.
To be more specific, he had reminded her about the event that caused its creation.
A Battle against one of the Strongest Beings ever born in the Zanerth Universe. A battle where Miranda and the other Hybrids nearly faced ’True Death’.
No one likes to be reminded about near-death experiences and Miranda was the same, hence, her very foul mood.
It got even worse since there was no Jamie to placate her in the past three days.
"Why are you smiling like that?"
Miranda questioned Jamie’s current expression and the man gave no reply, his smile intensifying as he silently pulled her into a hug and playfully bit her ear.
"Wait a minute, Jay. Now’s NOT the timee~!"
Her attempts to hold Jamie back were very unsuccessful and she ended up being ’devoured’ in the hours that followed.
◇ ◇ ◇
’Dragons liked high places.’
It was a popular saying in the Vela Galaxy and it could be confirmed by the Dragon’s choice of Continent to reside in on Zotov.
Eawin was a land dominated by towering mountains.
It was rare to travel 50 kilometres without encountering at least one or two mountains.
At the heart of this massive continent stood a colossal castle perched atop a mountain peak
Inside its majestic hall, a massive dragon egg stood, seven feet tall, with cracks branching across its surface.
A surge of destructive energy emanated from the egg, which then shattered, revealing the form of the Dragon King inside.
Witnessing his emergence, all the dragons present bowed in reverence to their Liege.
Ikerth landed on the floor, his robes wrapping around him as he looked up at the rising sun and spoke.
"Just in time."
