Beyond the Bloodline-Chapter 137: Angela
The woman jumped down from the table and walked out of the room, her eyes shining with light as she peered through spacetime.
"Where did I send that Phoenix? He’s done me a good favour."
His location turned out to be a desolate icy planet—the worst kind of place to put a Phoenix in. She pulled him through space, healed him up and even bestowed him with a huge portion of power as thanks.
The power she gave him was enough to take the man from the Inferior Stage of his Existence Realm straight to the peak of the Superior Stage in an instant.
Enough power to decimate several galaxies.
However, she gave it away without a care in the world; she was going to recover it by the end of the day, after all.
After doing this, she returned to the lab, meeting her daughter halfway and randomly pulling her into a tight hug while humming a tune.
The girl, Olivia, could sense the joy radiating off her mother and she instantly knew that the woman had made a breakthrough in her million-year dream.
Upon arriving at the lab, she set the teenage girl down on a chair before skipping over to where the two unconscious werewolves were.
"Since her blood is not as good as his, I should use her first to test the Bloodline Infusion method and confirm if everything is working properly.
I also need to figure out the Races I need to add in order to make the Bloodline Fusion complete. These factors would serve as Catalysts."
The woman placed a hand on the boy’s chest and scanned his existence, her eyes widening as she sensed a half-formed Pseudo-Origin core in his soul.
"Oh my, a Pseudo-Authority is budding within this one. The element is...space. I’d need to use Drifter Racial factors then.
Where did I keep those things again?"
She moved her other hand and made a dozen floating shelves appear, scanning their contents with her eyes before picking up one of the vials there.
"Ancient Breed Drifter factors would be the best catalyst for him. Drifters live and breathe spatial manipulation, after all."
The woman kept scanning him and picking out different ’ingredients’ from her floating shelves, sometimes even teleporting to other planets to harvest some of them before returning and continuing.
"Finally, a huge serving of naturally occurring Ancient Breed Vampire Racial Factors. Anything lower than this would cause an imbalance since he’s an ancient breed himself.
His Werewolf bloodline would devour anything weaker."
The woman muttered to herself before moving to the other teen and doing the same thing. Scanning her and fishing out different ’materials’ and ’ingredients’.
She even teleported to a nearby Red Giant star and killed the Phoenix living in it, harvesting their blood before returning to her lab and continuing her work like nothing happened.
"These children are pretty demanding. The boy needs Ancient Drifter Bloodline and the girl needs Ancient Pheonix Bloodline as Main catalysts."
Even though she said that, she had a smile on her face that made it clear she was going to do anything to get whatever catalyst needed.
Olivia watched her mother on the side, a small smile gracing her face as she felt happy for the woman who had finally found a direct path to achieving her goal.
’This is the happiest she’s been in years...’
It was then that the two teenage wolves finally began to stir awake, something Olivia noticed first as her attention was immediately drawn to the pair of clear blue eyes that were revealed when the boy’s eyelids fluttered open.
Her mother noticed they had woken up a second later, teleporting out of the store room she was in and appearing before the two.
She snapped her fingers and magical chain constructs formed around their arms and legs, restraining their movements. This turned out to be a good decision as the instant they finally regained full consciousness, their first actions were to try and escape.
Naturally, this was unsuccessful.
"Don’t bother trying."
The two teenagers still struggled, but they soon saw the futility of such attempts. They could not even rouse an iota of magic power in their bodies, and all of their skills were sealed completely.
They glared at the woman with narrowed eyes but she acted as if she didn’t feel it as she spoke.
"Jamie Westly and Miranda Scott. Listen carefully as I would not repeat myself.
Two idiot Mercenaries I hired brought you here against your own will—well, that much was obvious already."
She shrugged for a moment before continuing her words.
"I planned to send you back, but I then discovered you two had things I have been after for millennia, as such I ended up changing my mind. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
What I desire from you are Your King and Queen’s blood.
Oh, I’m not planning to kill you and extract it or something...nothing along those lines so you’re guaranteed to keep your lives. You’d be useless to me if you’re dead, after all."
The two teens did not show any outward reaction to this but inwardly, they were shocked the woman had been able to see through the concealment seals on them placed by their parents.
Ancient Breed Werewolves with King or Queen’s blood equalled guaranteed Race Emperor level of power in the future.
This would have caused a ruckus in the Interstellar Stage as the Westley and Scott Werewolves were already the strongest Werewolves in the Universe. If they got any more powerful, it would incite nefarious thoughts amongst similar Universal Powerhouses of other races.
"...you...just who are you?"
Jamie’s question made the woman remember she hadn’t actually told them who she was yet. Placing a hand on her chin, she thought for a moment before asking.
"Do you know the Cathedral Witches?"
"...obviously."
The boy looked at her, wondering why she was asking something so obvious. For a moment, his gaze turned to Olivia who noticed it and waved at him while wearing a smile—something he did not have the liberty to reciprocate right now.
"Good, this would make things simple.
On this Planet Estea, I am the First Witch with that name. Some unruly people have taken to calling me the ’Witch of Chaos’."
She clicked her tongue when she spoke of this title, one she clearly didn’t like. Unfortunately, her actions in the past had made it stick.
"I’m an ’Envoy of Chaos’ but could they not have thought of something better?"
Shaking her head with a sigh, she turned her attention back to Jamie and continued speaking.
"From the perspective of you Vela Galaxians, I am a foreigner. My home Galaxy is ’dead’ though.
While your people call me by that obnoxious title, I’d prefer it if you used my actual name."
Taking her glasses off, she concluded with her name.
"Angela Cathedral."
◇ ◇ ◇
That was Jamie and Miranda’s first meeting with the ’Witch of Chaos’, the woman who would then go on to turn them into the Hybrids they were now.
