Beyond the Bloodline-Chapter 127: Clash Beneath the Crust
’These two are strange...
It’s also strange that no one has come here despite all of this ruckus!’
Sanev had expected that the elves and dragons would come over to see what was happening but despite all the noise his fight with the two hybrids was making, no one had sensed a thing.
He remembered the way he could not hear any sounds from the outside earlier and guessed he had been trapped in some kind of barrier.
’The man uses space powers...it could be him.’
Just as he spread out his aura to verify this, Jamie teleported behind him and he reflexively swung down his flame sword with the intention of cleaving Jamie in two.
However, Jamie raised his palms and caught the blade with his hands, earning the elf’s shock. Very quickly, he grabbed the blade with one hand and pulled the man’s hand forward, taking advantage of Sanev’s strong grip on his weapons to drag him along with it.
As the man was pulled forward, Jamie used his other hand to send in a punch, but Sanev used his ice sword to block Jamie’s fist.
Though Jamie’s punch had been blocked, the force was enough to send his body flying and in that same moment, he detonated the flame energy of the blade to force Jamie to let go of it.
The bright flames burned Jamie’s palm but they healed up in an instant.
Sanev flipped in the air and swung both blades, sending out a wave of icy energy to block Miranda’s attacks from behind before landing on the ground a dozen metres away.
"How much of his Health Values have we depleted?"
"Not much, just about 25%."
"We’ve got to reduce it more before I can be able to kill him." 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Jamie spoke as he walked up to where Miranda was, only to hear the elf mutter a line he had never expected.
"Release the true nature of my soul!
True Form Release!!"
**BOOMM!!!
Reddish brown light exploded forth from Sanev’s body and he began growing larger and larger in size. The ground cratered under the pressure of the magic power and law energy he emanated as his form grew to around 2.5 metres.
The flames on his hair spread out and engulfed the left half of his face while the right half was frozen up by ice.
The transformation continued to his arms, with his left being covered in a pattern like shards of ice and had ice-like spikes protruding from the shoulder while his right arm had fiery patterns and fire-like wisps protruding from the shoulder.
Seeing his new form, Jamie and Miranda had expressions of genuine shock on their faces as they really didn’t expect this at all.
"True form release...I haven’t seen this in a long while."
Miranda muttered as her expression shifted into a light frown. As she silently removed the tie wrapped around her right palm, Jamie posed a question to her.
"Mira, when was the last time you did a bit of transformation?"
"I can’t remember. I’ve not had an opponent that has forced me to that extent. Maybe I should occasionally limit myself like this so I don’t lose my touch."
As she said this, her pupils began glowing with light and her already long hair increased in length even more.
The nails on her fingers started growing out as if they were transforming into claws, and from within her hair, two animal ears perked up and twitched lightly.
From her lower back, a long bushy wolf tail slowly emerged, poking out from the gaps in her long hair and twirling around in the air.
"As much as I desire to play with that. Let’s focus on this guy, shall we?"
"We’d pummel him with a rush and not give him time to react."
Jamie nodded in response to Miranda’s words before disappearing and reappearing right in front of Sanev who just finished his transformation.
On his head were a pair of wolf earls just like Mirandas’ and everything from his wrist down to his fingers was covered in fur, with his nails extended into sharp claws.
His arm was already pulled back and he threw out a full-strength hypersonic speed punch aimed squarely at Sanev’s face without hesitation.
Despite the speed of the punch, Sanev was still able to generate barriers in between to block, but since Jamie’s attacks were all infused with spatial law energy and distorted space on default, the barriers were destroyed by the distortions.
His fist collided with Sanev’s face, propelling the elf backwards with tremendous force, sending him hurtling into the distance.
Jamie teleported right next to him and grabbed Sanev’s face with a fierce vice-like grip. His razor-sharp claws pierced the sides of the elf’s head as he drove the elf’s skull into the unforgiving earth below.
Moving forward with incredible speed, Jamie dragged Sanev’s head across the ground before abruptly changing course and ascending to the skies. Then, with another sudden shift in trajectory, he hurtled back towards the ground at hypersonic speed.
Jamie pulled Sanev’s head back, ignoring all the elf’s spellcasting attempts before slamming the elf down onto the ground with unyielding force.
The ground split open upon impact, swallowing Sanev’s body, digging hundreds of metres deep in an instant and creating a colossal crater around the point of impact.
As if that wasn’t enough, Jamie pulled back his hand and delivered another full-power punch to the elf’s face, causing the earth beneath to crack and fissure open as the elf’s body fell deep into it.
Miranda dove into the gaping chasm that formed and followed the rapidly descending elf, swinging her hand and releasing a giant three-pronged claw-shaped aura slash that tore through the earth.
Sanev quickly realised that he would not be able to take the slash head-on, quickly dipping his hand into his inventory and pulling out a giant shield which he infused with flame and ice law energies to fortify it.
Miranda’s claw slash collided with the shield right after and the flame law energy on the shield ignited upon contact, causing a massive underground explosion with shockwaves reverberating in all directions.
The explosion unleashed a seismic upheaval that shook Inholin and its surrounding cities and regions with ferocity, rousing all the sleeping elves and dragons.
Miranda, caught in the tumultuous shockwaves, was thrown back momentarily, while Sanev bore the brunt of the blast. Hurtling deeper and deeper into the earth, he plunged past the planet’s crust and into a seething sea of molten magma below.
*TSSSS!!
Sanev’s right half which was covered in ice was attacked by the magma, and he quickly forced himself to his feet to avoid taking damage from it. His fire side, on the other hand, absorbed power from the magma and he sent a surge of flame law energy through the crimson liquid.
Geysers of lava erupted from all around him, spiralling into the air and in the direction of the two hybrids who descended past the planet’s crust.
"Mira."
"Got you."
The woman didn’t even need words to know what Jamie wanted, instantly generating a pressurized spear of water and firing it towards him.
Jamie crafted a rune on his palm in the instant before his palm came in contact with the water. He then infused spatial law energy into it and spun around before throwing the spear straight towards Sanev on the ground.
As for the pressurized streams of lava that were about to crash into them, Jamie simply snapped his fingers in front of him.
"Void."
By his command, space distorted to generate wormholes which sent the molten magma into the void of space.
’That technique!!’
Sanev’s eyes widened as he saw Jamie use ’Void’. What’s more, the very same person he saw drinking blood not too long ago now had werewolf features.
Even if he was from a galaxy far away, he was not ignorant about the powerful figures who originated from this one.
’Vampire and Werewolf abilities, silver not having any effect, and his spatial manipulation...the clues were right in front of me the whole time!’
"You two are the Estean Hybrids aren’t you?!"
Though Sanev asked this, he was sure that they were the same Hybrids his Vela galactic contacts had told him stories about.
’I thought they were just myths!’
The man screamed internally as he summoned his twin swords, quickly catching the blades as they flew into his hands and turning around to slash at Miranda behind him.
Despite being in a super-powered state, he still wasn’t fast enough to react as Miranda’s punch had already connected with his chest before he could complete his slash.
The elf’s body was sent straight towards Jamie who stood prepared to receive him.
With lightning-fast and fluid movements, Jamie intercepted Sanev mid-flight, his hands reaching out to grasp the elf’s shoulders. With a swift pivot, Jamie redirected Sanev’s momentum, sending him hurtling towards the churning sea of magma below.
As Sanev plummeted towards the molten abyss, Miranda seized the opportunity to strike. She descended upon the elf and released a barrage of strikes, each one infused with her violet-coloured energy that gave an extra explosive impact to her punches.
The elf tried to block with his arms but Miranda’s barrage landed with bone-crushing force, sending shockwaves rippling through Sanev’s body.
