Chapter 128: Cosmos

Jamie didn’t sit back and watch the show, taking in a sip of the blood he had been drinking earlier and using the power from it to enhance his wolf transformation.

He joined the fray right after, with calculated movements as he unleashed his flurry of strikes, his fists a blur of motion as the elf’s defences crumbled easily.

The man tried mentally controlling the swords to attack them but Jamie simply caught both blades and tossed them into the magma before delivering a strike to Sanev’s chest with deadly precision.

He aimed it in such a way that the man was yeeted towards Miranda who followed up with a high kick to the side of his skull.

Sanev’s brain hadn’t even finished calculating the damage when Jamie’s fist slammed into his lower jaw and sent the man’s body flying through the planet’s crust.

Before he could bore a hole back to the surface, Jamie used his spatial manipulation to pull space together apart, generating a magnetic force that pulled Sanev back down into the sea of magma.

As the elf fell into the magma, he tried to manipulate the molten magma to attack but Jamie carved the space his magic circles occupied faster than they could deploy.

Miranda then came in with a low kick, sending Sanev off his feet, while Jamie grabbed the elf’s throat and choke-slammed him onto the sea of magma below.

Together, Jamie and Miranda worked in perfect harmony, with synchronized and relentless attacks as they pummelled Sanev without mercy.

It was as if they could read each other’s minds and knew what the other wanted without a need to vocalize it.

With each blow, they pushed Sanev closer to the edge of defeat, their combined strength completely overwhelming the elf.

Jamie’s spatial distorting punches struck with precision, the very fabric of space bending and warping with each blow. Meanwhile, Miranda’s explosive fists delivered devastating concussive force, each impact sending shockwaves rippling through the molten air.

Sanev’s screams echoed off the walls of the chamber as he endured the onslaught, his body battered and bruised by the relentless barrage of strikes. Blood spattered across the chamber, quickly evaporating in the intense heat of the magma below. But still, Jamie and Miranda pressed their advantage, their attacks unrelenting in their ferocity

They slammed him on the roof of the chamber many times, causing earthquakes in the ground above. With synchronized movement, they simultaneously unleashed palm strikes to Sanev’s chest, the force of their blows like a thunderclap in the enclosed chamber.

With a tremendous crash, he broke through the crust of the chamber, hurtling back up to the surface with the force of a meteorite.

As soon as he emerged, battered and broken, Jamie and Miranda stood poised over him condensing energy around their fists as they descended upon him, delivering another palm strike that knocked the man back to the ground and crashing through the remains of his mansion.

With just basic energy manipulation and martial arts, Jamie and Miranda had beaten the living daylights out of an empowered transcendent in a mere ten minutes.

Just when they landed back on the ground, they saw Sanev down on one knee, his right arm and leg completely disabled with the bones inside shattered all over.

The elf had blood dripping from his nose and ears, and more than half of his teeth were missing.

However, he was still not dead. Clearly, Sanev was more durable than even the Dragon transcendents, but even that had a limit.

Sanev knew his limit was approaching and he had to do something soon, otherwise, he’d die.

’I’m sure...that they have some sort...of barrier...deployed.

If...I can interfere with it...I can draw attention towards...here...’

The man had no choice but to bank on the dragons and Elves outside the barrier who had been roused by the earthquakes from earlier and were trying to find the cause.

Though they were at most, Sovereigns, he was sure that they could use their numbers to force Jamie and Miranda to retreat.

He considered his options and decided to choose the best one he could use to interfere with the barrier while not leaving himself open to attack.

’My Bounded field!’

Sanev opened his inventory in front of his mouth and he let a reddish black pill exuding eerie law energy fall into his mouth.

"grraAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!"

The man let out a loud howl and unleashed a shockwave across the entire area, knocking Jamie and Miranda back.

The two Hybrid’s eyes widened in shock as they sensed very familiar energies mixed in with the shockwaves.

"Destruction and life law energy..."

Jamie noted as he looked at his arms which were bleeding from being hit by the shockwave heal up in a second. He then returned his gaze to the elf and saw the man get up to his feet, albeit sluggishly, breathing heavily while glaring at the couple.

"Did he just...?"

"Sacrifice his life force for power? Yes."

Sanev was a merchant from another galaxy, and the man had garnered strange artifacts and treasures over the years. One of which, was the reddish-black pill he just swallowed.

In return for a piece of his life force, he received a power boost proportional to the amount of life he had sacrificed.

Right now, he hadn’t gained as much power as he normally would, since Jamie and Miranda had depleted his health values with their combined attacks, but it was still enough to heal his disabled limbs in an instant and allow him to execute his plan.

’Make the boundary line as long as physically possible... as wide as possible...eventually, I’d reach the end of their barrier and break it!’

He was sure Jamie was the one who applied the barrier over the area, and though Jamie’s power was outrageous, he could still tell that the man was a Sovereign.

’If his avatar is a Sovereign, this means my Transcendent spatial law energy is inviolable to him!’

Sanev’s comprehension in the laws of space was very small, and he only picked it up because it was a necessity for every being who surpassed Transcendence to know basic spatial manipulation to enable them to move in the void of space easily.

Even so, he still had comprehensions in them and that meant his commands took precedence over that of someone who was just manipulating the ambient energy of the law, meaning everyone below Transcendence.

’The woman may be an issue but my goal is not to attack, but to break the barrier I’m in with the boundary line of my Bounded Field.’

With that thought, he drew upon his energy which he had not been able to use much as Miranda and Jamie had been pummelling him before he could do a thing.

Mixing in his spatial law power, he spread it out as far as possible, covering a distance of over a kilometre in an instant.

’A kilometre? Did he use spatial expansion inside the barrier as well? That means I have to move to find the edge of the barrier as my bounded field can’t cover any more distance!’

All of these—from Sanev’s thoughts about Jamie’s existence realm to his discovery about the spatial expansion—took no less than a few seconds in reality.

"Bounded Field: Ruler of Fire and Ice!"

The ground transformed into a sea of flames and hailstones pelted down from the sky. Geysers of lava erupted, scattering crimson liquid infused with destruction law energy.

Sanev intensified the hailstorm targeting Jamie and Miranda and transformed spilling lava into deadly spears hurled at them.

He knew Jamie could counter his lava spears, and the hailstones would barely tickle Miranda, but he needed to buy time.

Immediately he did this, he turned around and kicked off the ground, trying to run in the opposite direction but suddenly, the space around him warped and constricted around him, halting his movements.

Jamie had activated his ’Child of Space’ skill and was now using its full power to hold the fleeing elf back.

With a snap of his fingers, the deadly spears of lava and the hailstones disappeared into wormholes that he generated and vanished into the void.

"Miranda, I’m ending this."

Jamie spoke with a deep voice as he stepped forward, his magic power and spatial law energy surging wildly and causing the space around him to crack. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Sanev broke free from the spatial lock and jumped to gain distance but Jamie shook his head and spoke with a voice full of ’pity’.

"There’s no way to run, boy."

The Hybrid took a deep breath, calculating how much power was left from the power up he gained from the blood he drank before the fight began.

After confirming it was enough for what he wanted to do, Jamie’s lips parted to voice out three words in his ’True Voice’.

|Partial Domain Declaration|

Jamie’s blue eyes lit up with a dull glow and looked right at the elf as he activated what could be called the ’Finished Product’ of the prototype which was a Bounded Field.

It was only ’Partial’ due to his weakened state, but for this elf, it was enough.

Silence pervaded the area as the Boundary Line of Sanev’s domain silently dissolved into nothingness as though it had never even existed in the first place.

The roaring geysers of lava, the sea of flames, the pelting hailstones, the rugged terrain, the rubble around them; everything vanished as if they were never there.

Darkness shrouded the surroundings before gradually yielding to the light of the gigantic luminous spheroid of plasma that appeared behind Jamie.

At first, there was just one star, but in the seconds that followed, it had turned into a sea of stars painting the expanse with their brilliance.

Then as if someone zoomed out on a photo, the sea of stars quickly faded into the distance and the scene expanded once more, unveiling a breath-taking panorama.

All around, were gigantic translucent circular and spherical bubbles, each one having billions of trillions of shiny stars and galaxies of different shapes, sizes and colours.

Enveloping each one was a gigantic gas cloud which mirrored the hues of the bubble barriers that contained these galaxies.

In the middle of this fantastical expanse, Jamie floated in the air with his hands crossed behind his back as he called out the name of his Domain.
