Chapter 134: Fierce Storm Vs The Prodigies

Clint left the arena after saying those words, and two other people in Union uniforms walked up to the arena. They were both Core mages and would act as the referees during the tournament.

After the two mages got into position, two groups of students walked into the arena. Each group had four students, and all of them ranged between the ages of 17 and 19, both boys and girls alike.

The two teams stood on different sides after entering the arena and faced each other. On one side were the students of the Fierce Storm Magic Academy, their uniform was a beautiful design of green long-sleeved tunics with high collars, with emblems that signified their elements attached to their left breast pockets and single numbers printed at the top of the emblems.

Those numbers probably represented their classes or what year they were in. The boys had trousers and brown shoes while the girls had knee-length skirts and mid-calf boots.

The team from the Fierce Storm Magic Academy was an even mix of two boys and two girls, all of them had high and aloof faces as they stared at their opponents.

On the other side were the students from The Prodigies Magic Academy. Their uniform, a collarless grey top under brown coats and black long pants for both genders. On their backs was the image of a single star with varying colours that represented their elements.

The team from The Prodigies Magic Academy was a group of three boys and a single girl. They all had hostile looks in their eyes as they glared back at their opponents, a hint of determination mixed with it.

Alex looked at the group of youths in the arena with an intrigued look in his eyes. He could see that one of the students from the Fierce Storm Magic Academy was at the Core mage rank, while everyone on The Prodigies Magic Academy was at the Adept mage rank; he could more or less guess what the outcome of this fight was going to be.

After the two teams got into place, the referees made some distance from them before giving the order for the match to begin.

"Start!"

At the same time, the floating orbs in the air moved and began to project what was going on in the arena in the sky above the stadium. The footage was extremely clear, and it was as if they were seeing the scene in the arena personally. This was to enable those outside the stadium to have a real-time feel while watching the match.

Immediately after the match started, both teams swept into action.

The students of the Fierce Storm Magic Academy moved into formation, the two boys in the team moved in front while the two girls stayed at the back.

The two boys immediately summoned their stars after getting into position. Both of them were of the fire and wind elements, respectively. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

At the same time, the students of The Prodigies Magic Academy charged at them. Their coats fluttered as they shot toward the students of the Fierce Storm Magic Academy. They formed a horizontal formation and ran toward their opponents together.

Seeing their opponents charging over, the students of the Fierce Storm Magic Academy had calm looks on their faces as the two boys in front connected their stars and formed one star pattern each.

The two red and yellow star patterns formed above the two as they called out the name of their spells.

"Wind blade!"

"Fireball!"

The speed of their casting was fast, taking just two and a few milliseconds for the entire process and the two spells were soon flying toward the student form The Prodigies Magic Academy.

In response, the four from The Prodigies Magic Academy spread out even more to avoid the spells. They were now several meters away from each other.

The spells flew past them and crashed into the ground, loud sounds rang out but the spells were unable to cause even the slightest dent to the floor of the arena.

After dodging the spells, the four in brown coats continued to charge at their opponents from four different directions; they had surrounded the students from the Fierce Storm Magic Academy and were only twenty meters away from the four man formation of their opponent.

"Now!" The only girl in the team shouted as she came to an abrupt stop and summoned her stars. Five pale blue stars appeared around her and started to form into a star pattern as the temperature around her dropped swiftly.

The three boys also stopped running and summoned their stars as well, two of the three had the water element while the last one had the light element.

"Frozen fangs!"

"Water blades!"

"Light beam!"

Four spells shot toward the formation of the students of the Fierce Storm Magic Academy from four different directions.

Aside from the light beam, the speed of the other spells were fast.

The students in green uniforms were staying idle either. Immediately after they saw their opponents casting spells, they had also summoned their stars as well.

One of the two girls in the team had the earth element. Seeing the ice spell and light beam flying toward them from behind, her star pattern had already formed and she slammed her hands on the ground.

"Earth control!"

Rumble!

After her voice rang out, a crack of eight meters formed on the ground horizontally in front of her and a thick earth wall burst out from the crack. This wall didn’t only protect her from the incoming light beam but also covered the second girl from the frozen fangs that were coming from her side.

As for the two boys, both of them sent fireballs and wind blades to counter the two water blades that were heading for them.

As for the last girl, two purple star patterns had formed above her head and her body flickered with lightning.

She was the Core mage in the team!

Bam!

The light beam and frozen fangs crashed into the thick earth wall but were unable to penetrate it. At the same time, the girl with the lightning element finally cast her spell.

"Lightning charge!" Her voice rang out and a surge of lightning rushed into her body from the star patterns above her. The expressions of the students from The Prodigies Magic Academy instantly changed.

A Core mage, not good!

The girl in the group immediately shouted for everyone to retreat and regroup, but it was too late.

Swoosh!

A purple streak of lightning flashed from the formation of the students in green, its target was the ice mage who was the only girl in the opponent’s team.

The eyes of the girl flashed and she gritted her teeth, trying to outrun a lightning mage using lightning charge was impossible; her only choice was to attack.

She immediately summoned her pale stars again and tried to form a star pattern but she wasn’t fast enough before the girl in green uniform appeared in front of her and attacked her with a palm still flickering with lightning.

Bam!

The palm crashed into the stomach of the ice mage, the force knocking the air out of the lungs and sending her body flying back. Residual lighting had been transmitted to her after the opponent’s palm made contact with her body, her body trembled uncontrollably as a feeling of numbness washed over her.

She was unable to get up immediately after crashing into the ground.

Meanwhile, at the same time that the lightning mage had targeted the ice mage. The two boys from the Fierce Storm Magic Academy had charged at the light mage from The Prodigies Magic Academy together, leaving their earth mage by herself.
