Beastmen: She Tames the Land-Chapter 219: Three mates
Failan couldn’t stop thinking about the situation. He wanted to know if there could be people with more than one person as a mate.
"I wonder...could you help me with something? I’ll make it worth your time. I can give you whatever number of fabrics as you need if you can help with this dilemma."
Uri and Xeno saw his shift in mood when they started talking about them having a third. They exchanged glances, wondering what issue was so big that it warranted them giving as much cloth as they wanted.
Failan made such a promise, not in haste, but because he knew of more than one couple that had the same issue. While not all of them came, there were a number who had felt the mate pull.
If not for the incident with the three being exposed and the tribe leader being so against it, there would be others who could accept their three-mate status.
"We don’t mind helping. But what is it that you need our help with?" Xeno asked, weary.
"You said there are three of you in your mate bond. I was wondering if you could convince our tribe leader that three-mate bonds are legitimate."
"Why would he not believe they are? Don’t the mates themselves feel the pull?"
"They do. The problem is that the tribe leader keeps forbidding them from being together. We don’t know what to do."
Xeno looked over at Uri, who had been silent. "I will help you. I have notified our mate. I think it would be more beneficial for her to speak to your tribe leader."
Failan was confused. He understood them wanting to include their third in a decision like this, but why make them come here specifically?
"She is a fox."
Uri’s statement made Failan’s eyes go wide. If their partner is a fox, the tribe leader might listen. Now, he was truly grateful to them. He had forgotten everything about trying to seduce them. His focus was now on making sure none of his tribesmen were unable to be together.
Their mate is a fox. That’s good news. Even if she isn’t the same kind of fox, it proves that there can be foxes with more than one partner.
"Do you mind waiting? I want to call the others."
"Go," Uri said.
The others in the tent saw Failan scrambling out of the tent. They had heard the conversation. After all, the tent wasn’t particularly large. So they heard everything the three said to each other. Now, they were peeking out of their lashes, pretending they knew nothing.
Uri and Xeno, on the other hand, were talking to Visha.
"Shasha, we need your help."
When Visha heard Xeno, he sounded aggrieved. She couldn’t imagine what had happened to make him sound like this. But she also knew he tended to exaggerate. She didn’t feel any sense of grievance from the bond.
"Ignore him." Came Uri’s voice.
At this time, Visha had just finished her trade with the sealions. She had them visit with half the goods to trade with the tribe. The other half would be given when she came back. As she claimed it was in her room. And out of respect, others wouldn’t enter her room.
"I know," she responded to Uri while shooting Xeno a response. "What’s wrong with the big baby?"
"We have come upon a tribe that uses vital energy and knows about mates. I’m not sure they are aware that they use it. It seems to be a natural talent. They also have a problem with multiple partner mates. If we can help them solve it, they are willing to trade their silk, cotton, and linen in exchange."
Xeno didn’t respond. Instead, Uri took the helm, fearing he would exaggerate and make the conversation longer than it needed to be.
"Sounds interesting. I’ll be right there. Oh, and later, I have some food that I want you to try with me. I’m not sure if you’ll like it."
Visha started walking towards the link. She didn’t need them to give her directions. She could feel them in the bazaar. It didn’t take long to arrive. When she did, she noticed a small crowd of people was standing nearby.
Uri and Xeno had felt her before they saw her. When they felt how close she was, they left the tent. Upon her arrival, they walked into the throng to receive her.
Failan hadn’t arrived yet. The crowd was actually beastmen fawning over the beautiful females. Seeing the crowd, Visha thought there was something wrong.
When the stall owners saw her approaching, they couldn’t help but look twice. They couldn’t help glancing at Visha. They had heard Uri and Xeno mention that their mate was a fox. They were curious as to what kind of fox she was.
But when they saw her, their imagination paled in comparison. Her aura was both sensual and regal. Her eyes were clear with a touch of wisdom. Her oval-shaped face, coupled with her beautiful almond eyes and plump lips.
Not to mention her body. Her buxom bosom, full hips, and round butt. The clothing she wore, though not as luxurious as their own, did nothing to hide the curves of her body. Not that they believed any form of clothing could hide such a beautiful figure.
Visha had changed a lot in her time on the Beast Continent. She went from being a pretty woman to the kind of woman who made heads turn. Uri and Xeno had always praised her beauty. No matter what she looked like, in their eyes, she was always beautiful because she was their mate.
When they saw the many eyes staring, they were both jealous and proud.
They went to stand beside her, like two bodyguards flanking her. They led her into the tent to sit and wait for Failan. Those of the fox clan who weren’t working also ducked into the tent to take a look at the new fox female.
