Astral Flower-Chapter 564: The Truth
"There was an orphanage in this place." Nan Hua looked at the distance and her eyes flickered slightly. "The two of us are there."
Feng Yu Hua’s mouth opened so wide that it could fit an egg.
Not only her, even Tang Si Qin and Qing Shu Lian were staring at the two girls in surprise. They thought that the two of them only met each other after they entered Military Academy A.
But Nan Hua actually said that they had met each other when they were much younger?
"Wha...what do you mean? How come I...?" Feng Yu Hua stuttered as she didn’t remember anything about it.
Nan Hua stood up and then said slowly, "Many people didn’t want to have relationship in order to have a child, so they employed the technique of tube babies. In the process, some of their actually successful samples are being used to make other babies in the research institute."
The other three felt chills from their heart when they heard Nan Hua’s cold words.
"Some of them even changed the pairings, which meant that one might have several ’illegitimate children’ born from the research institute." Nan Hua’s eyes flashed for a moment before it was suppressed.
"When the research institute was revealed and the children were found, many of those who have their blood relations didn’t want to pick them up, so they were sent to the orphanage. But the number is not much, so the organization picked more children to be sent here through kidnapping and erasing the children’s memories." Nan Hua glanced at Feng Yu Hua.
"Both of us are among those kidnapped children."
Feng Yu Hua stayed frozen just like that, listening to Nan Hua’s words. She knew very well that she was kidnapped when she was young because the DNA result showed that she was the daughter of Feng Family.
But this was the first time she knew that they all came from the orphanage.
"This... you... how did you...?"
"I still remember the days when I was in the orphanage," Nan Hua replied calmly.
"Then why,..." Feng Yu Hua wanted to ask more but for some reasons the words in her throat struck when she saw Nan Hua’s look.
She felt that there was something that Nan Hua suppressed.
"It’s time for you to know because we won’t be able to come here again." Nan Hua glanced at the ruins. "And I want you to tell this location to the officials from Green Planet."
"So that they can find the children?" Tang Si Qin asked.
Listening from Nan Hua’s words, he could guess that the children were all brought to the organization. But he knew very well that some of the children who couldn’t pass the earlier tests were thrown out again.
But their situation was like death was better than living.
It was unknown how many of them would be able to survive after so many years.
"Yes." Nan Hua nodded.
Feng Yu Hua was silent for a moment and then nodded. She was lucky enough to be strong and able to survive through that hell. But many other children were not as lucky as her, so Feng Yu Hua knew that the chance for them to survive was very low.
And with their identities being unwanted children, how many people were actually still looking for them?
Not everyone was lucky enough to have family members who kept on searching for them until the very end. Many of them were abandoned from the very beginning.
"I’ll do it."
"Good." Nan Hua turned around. "I’ll go back first. You shouldn’t stay together for a long period of time either."
Qing Shu Lian looked at Nan Hua’s departing back and then said, "She seems to be even colder now."
"Right." Feng Yu Hua could also feel it.
"You shouldn’t ask more. We all have pain in our heart," Tang Si Qin said calmly, playing with the scalpel in his hand and looked towards Feng Yu Hua and Qing Shu Lian calmly. His expression remained aloof and indifferent, but there was a coldness deep within his eyes that was hard to explain. Something that was lurking beneath his feeling.
"You have things that you don’t want to remember either, so you shouldn’t ask too much for others."
Qing Shu Lian nodded in understanding.
True enough.
If not because he needed their help, he would never reveal the truth about his families or letting others found out about them.
"I don’t remember anything." Feng Yu Hua shook her head bitterly.
She felt that among the four of them, she was the luckiest. Having remembered nothing of her childhood or anything before the organization took her, she had no burden or anything like that because she understood nothing.
They were the one who raised her and she had never known about the warmth of the world outside.
Those days might be hard, but at the very least, she was not tortured mentally.
"It’s good for you," Qing Shu Lian said as he patted Feng Yu Hua’s shoulder.
He was recruited into the organization after they had seen his capabilities and he was definitely old enough to know more things about the world. It was then he saw his parents sold him out to them.
Being told to do things for others that will harm many other people out there, Qing Shu Lian couldn’t say that he was happy. No matter how grateful he was for his parents to raise him, those feelings were slowly dissipated as they treated him worse and worse.
In their eyes, he was nothing more than a tool used for the organization and their tool for wealth.
Because with each and every single thing he brought up to the organization, they would receive remuneration. Money that was never given to him albeit him being the one who worked his a** off.
He felt that he was already bad and unlucky enough.
Until he met with Nan Hua and saw Tang Si Qin. Both of them gave him a different kind of feeling, a dangerous and cold feeling that had seeped down to their bones.
