Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World-Chapter 28: More Plots of Land
Her Yuanyuan suddenly appeared behind her! Even though he was just a character in the game, she couldn’t help but feel startled when she saw him suddenly appearing on her screen and talking like that.
She almost forgot that he could also talk to her directly through the bubble chat above his head.
It was just that she couldn’t find a way to talk to him besides using the mailbox feature. Her Yuanyuan was so smart!
She poked him twice and decided to sell the white rice. Of course, she didn’t sell all of them. She left him with six portions at least. Once she sold the white rice, her total gold coins were 237.
Still so far away from that 3000 gold coins goal, but she could save little by little.
It wouldn’t be good if she just let the gold coins lay around unused, so she decided to invest it on more plot lands. Because she had bought the fifth plot land for thirty gold coins, now the price increased to thirty five.
She bought two more at once, totaling 75 coins. Deducting the cost of the rice plant seeds for them, now she had 160 gold coins left.
Thankfully, her Yuanyuan was so diligent. Otherwise, the gold coins she earned wouldn’t be as much as the current number.
With that thought in mind, she poked Xie Ziyuan again a few times until she was satisfied. With a gleeful giggle, she logged out of the game and stretched her body.
"Gone, huh?" Xie Ziyuan rubbed his cheek, sneering at the empty air. That ghostly woman had taken advantage of him again!
He was currently inside the warehouse. Just exactly like how he imagined it before, the rice disappeared right in front of his eyes. In turn, two more plots of land appeared in the field.
His gaze became deeper. So, she could use the rice to get more plot lands...?
She even left him with six portions of rice. He should be thankful for her consideration, huh? On account that she had thought of him, he would let go the fact that she had taken advantage of him then.
At nine o’clock in the morning, he harvested the four plots of rice. The remaining three might need another hour.
The ghostly woman didn’t appear again, so he decided to take a look at the underground base. The central room should have the keys requested by Lin Yuyao.
It was the third time he had been to this room. In the first two times, he hadn’t taken a good look at this place. Now that he did, he realized everything in this place had such advanced technology.
After he had turned on the lamp, everything became more obvious in his eyes.
Those black screens should be surveillance monitors, right? This place had a lot of such things. He could monitor everything from this room.
However, he frowned in wonder. "There is no camera around the castle. Do those screens even work?"
He tried to turn on one of the screens. It was showing Lin Yuyao and others working hard to slice the elephant meat. He could even hear the conversation.
"Be careful. Don’t drop it. If you feel that it’s too heavy, just tell me." Lin Yuyao handed the piece of elephant meat to a beastman.
He switched it.
There were other scenes: Mo Lingfeng flying above the castle, the female rabbit beastman washing the meat with the help of someone with water power, and the leopard patrolling through the fortress’ walkway.
Surprisingly, even without any cameras around these places, it could still work. However, the perspective of the scenes that can be shown seemed to be fixed. For a private space like a bathroom, the invisible camera shouldn’t be able to reach them.
He suddenly looked up at the lamp above, just realizing he could turn it on too. There was electricity because of the solar panels in the courtyard, a small area above the watchtower, and the top of the castle. With such small places for solar panels, the electricity should be limited.
The real treasure place should be the underground base. Its defensive ability was greater than the castle itself.
Xie Ziyuan glanced around the room again. His eyes finally landed on the key cabinet at the corner of the room. He walked to it and opened the one with a castle room label.
He turned off the lamp before exiting the room. After he took back the main key, he exited the underground base. He didn’t directly give the keys to Lin Yuyao, but he went to the watchtower first.
There was some work he needed to do in his inner space.
On the other side, the beastmen who had recently arrived at the castle were still filled with awe at the place.
It was practically a safe haven!
"We are the first ones whom Master Xie recruited, right?" A beastman whispered to the person beside him, who happened to be Mo Lingfeng.
Mo Lingfeng had just returned from scouting the sky. After he determined there was no danger around, he went back to help Zhou Yunhan.
"The first recruits should be Yuyao and Yu’an." His wheat colored skin was a little flushed from the hot sun, yet he still flashed a smile.
"But... such a big castle. Why did we never hear of it?" The beastman was a little skeptical.
"We are in the dangerous zone. The number of people who came out after they entered this place is pitifully small. Who would have lived to tell the tale?" Zhou Yunhan cut another slab of meat and shoved it to the gossipy beastman. "Here, bring this to the cellar."
"Well, you are right." The beastman agreed. His face was a little awkward. "Without Master Xie, those ferocious beasts might have swallowed us whole."
Other beastmen were also very enthusiastic, wanting to show how useful they were. After enjoying the nights of peace, they didn’t want to leave the castle.
They realized that Master Xie brought them because he needed workers, so they were determined to work hard. Once the base became bigger, they would be the old members of this place. Just the thought alone managed to excite them.
"Done touring the place, leopard?" Zhou Yunhan suddenly looked up. A leopard beastman was approaching them. "You better not plotting something."
