Chapter 525: Chapter 103: Stripped of Black Identity

Martin, wearing a suit of such a striking blue that it nearly blinded everyone’s eyes, knocked on the door of Tommy’s exclusive consultancy office and greeted the Tommy inside, "Boss, what do you think of my getup? I had Marcus carefully help me design it."

Tommy, who was hunched over his desk reviewing various documents, didn’t even lift his head, "Of course, you look absolutely fantastic, every woman wants something to happen with you in bed, every man wants to take your place in bed."

"If you’d even glanced up, I could deceive myself into thinking your compliment was sincere, boss," said Martin with a crestfallen expression.

Tommy looked up, and when he got a clear view of Martin’s suit, he was stunned for a moment, then lowered his head again, "My compliments still stand, only the order needs a slight adjustment."

"What order?" Martin glanced down at his clothes, then turned toward Tommy, curiously asking.

"Every man wants something to happen with you in bed; every woman wants to take your place in bed," Tommy wrote the last line, then put the cap back on his pen and with an expression that couldn’t comprehend Martin’s puzzlement, looked at him:

"What for did you have Marcus dress you up like a gay? Is it because Allen isn’t making much headway with that union chairperson, so you’re gearing up to make your move as the perfect substitute?"

Martin closed the office door, parted the blinds slightly to peep outside, then excitedly whispered to Tommy, "From yesterday morning, the lady named Louise Davis who came to work at the company, she’s taken a liking to me, I’m sure of it."

Tommy nodded his understanding, picked up the now lukewarm cup of coffee from his desk, and took a sip, "When you’re focusing on your career, it’s best not to think about women for the time being, as that will make it hard for you to concentrate on work."

"That’s a bit different from what Mr. White told me about the history of your startup. He said that when he and you were developing software, most of the time was spent with high-class call girls from entertainment companies or actresses from adult film studios. But now it seems, he’s obviously succeeded in his business, which shows that women and work are not incompatible." Jason stepped forward very observantly to brew a new cup of hot coffee for Tommy, then stared at him as he approached, slowly pushing the cup of coffee towards Tommy:

"Give me some advice, boss, on how to get on good terms with a woman who seems so elegant and is around my age; how to get her to agree to have dinner with me, maybe go on a date?"

"Be strong enough. Women in the workplace have a desire for strength, Martin. She would rather kneel under the office desk licking an old company boss’s club than look at a black security guard with a six-pack. So, I think if this company could get Jeff a seat in the House of Representatives and make Florida’s politicians remember the company’s name from this victory, and you become a distinguished guest of politicians who want to achieve something in the next elections, she’ll probably be pleased to go to dinner with you, see a movie, or engage in something more intimate than dinner and movies," Tommy took a sip of the coffee handed to him by Martin and seriously offered his opinion:

"However, I think you shouldn’t rush into anything too intimate. Give her some time to... to get her breasts beautified. The aureola on her breasts is too pronounced and looks... unappealing. She originally planned to earn enough money to bleach them with Rona’s team. It’s better if you wait until after the elections when she’s made some money before you date her."

"You... I... that woman... you two..." Martin was dumbfounded, staring at Tommy for several seconds before finally opening his mouth in despair, "So you’ve scored again?"

"No, it was her boss who casually mentioned it to me. Her boss is Rosario’s ex-husband; he chose Louise to join his ex-wife Rona’s team," Tommy shook his head, not continuing to hit Martin where it hurt, and said calmly, "And she..."

Listening to Tommy telling him that the woman who Martin felt was favorably responsive towards him yesterday had unattractively colored breasts, Martin felt his heart might break. Was it because he, as a black man, was too often encountering bad luck? Or because his boss was Tommy Hawk, so every woman might be criticized as bad luck?

Or perhaps, the real bad luck was with himself, the women, or with boss Tommy?

This was definitely a serious philosophical question.

He paced frantically back and forth in Tommy’s office for a few rounds, hearing that Tommy was ready to continue, and quickly interrupted, "Please, boss! Have mercy on me! Don’t go on, help me answer a question I just thought of."

Martin asked his philosophical question, then he saw his boss, unperturbed, reply, "She didn’t enthusiastically respond to you, and I’ve seen her breasts, so isn’t the answer to who ended up the worthless bad luck obvious?"

"Focus on work, wait until I make money and gain fame, are you sure that kind of woman... will be closely related to me?" Martin sighed, looking down at his clothes again, "You said if I wore tight bodybuilding shorts and deliberately highlighted the length of the club through the shorts, it would help?"

"Of course it would help. If you dare to do that, I swear that your next job will only be to replace Allen and f*ck that Miami city pipe worker’s union chairperson." Tommy flipped open a page of documents on the table, then began to ask about work-related issues:
