America 1982-Chapter 318 - 20 In Rome_2
"And I’ve met the President, really, that was one summer during my childhood, I was biking home from school with two classmates, and along the way, we heard cries for help. It turned out that an old man had fallen into a lake and was nearly drowning. The three of us eventually pulled him out, only to discover that the fellow was none other than our President Mr. Nixon. He was tearfully grateful to us and told us that he would grant any wish we had because he was the President of the United States. One of my classmates said, ’I want ten thousand dollars, Mr. President.’ Mr. Nixon immediately gave him the ten thousand. The second classmate said, ’I want a sports car, to pick up girls with,’ and Mr. Nixon right away gave him the latest model of a luxury sports car."
"Then it was my turn, I, David Schafer, said to him, ’Give me a damn wheelchair that can perfectly carry my body, Mr. President!’ The President looked puzzled and said to me, ’David, you’re not disabled, nor are you sick, why do you need a wheelchair?’ I said to him, ’You know what? Mr. President, if my old man who’s against the Vietnam War knew I’d saved you, he’d make me a disabled person.’"
Seeing David Schafer’s performance, Tommy clapped vigorously.
David, holding the microphone, laughed and said, "I’m grateful that all of you came from afar to attend my party, and thanks to Tommy who single-handedly covered the costs of this party. In return, Tommy, the day I actually become President, I’ll make sure to avoid falling into any rivers, so your kids won’t have the chance to save me and you won’t have to break their legs. No need to thank me."
"Lastly, after tonight, I will say goodbye to the carefree days of being single. There might be an even more beautiful and sweeter future waiting for me, but that’s not important. What’s important is living in the moment, seizing the day." David Schafer took a deep breath, gripped the microphone with both hands, and with a fierce expression, roared loudly, "I declare David’s party night, officially started! Where’s my commemorative kiss?"
As he roared, music and electronic fireworks instantly filled the entire venue hall.
At this moment, those women clad in knee-length black hooded cloaks, whose faces and figures were completely hidden, walked lightly and in a single file towards the stage where David stood.
The men inside the venue all turned their attention to these mysterious women. Although they couldn’t see their figures or faces, the glimpse of smooth, fair calves deliberately exposed under the strict cloaks, along with the variety of high heels, added even more to their allure.
"Point all those damn cameras at him!" Stephen, at this point, loudly ordered a few photographers amongst the crowd, wielding long lenses, "Capture these precious moments for me, let his wife see clearly David’s charm!"
David, on stage, moved his hefty body to the music, while the women, as if they were models stepping onto a fashion runway, queued up to ascend the stage. The first woman walked up to David, fiercely pulled off her cloak, revealing a gorgeous evening dress and dazzling blonde hair, eliciting gasps from the male audience.
Amidst the envious glances of all the men, the woman moved close to David, turned his face towards her, and gave him a fragrant kiss.
Then, she wrapped her arms around David, striking a sultry pose for the cameras.
Flashes of light went off, swiftly capturing this beautiful moment.
The first woman gracefully departed, and the second woman came forward just as enticingly, shedding her cloak like the first, revealing her sexy outfit and leaving a fragrant kiss on David’s face.
This was the current American tradition for bachelor parties, the game of seeking kisses from strangers. The day before the wedding, the goal was to receive as many kisses and blessings from the opposite sex as possible. At the same time, these photos would prove to their significant others that they weren’t charmless losers; they had chosen her over countless other women simply because of love.
However, the stranger-kissing game for most men generally stayed a small-scale affair, getting a few kisses from barmaids and female friends who were up for it—nothing like the grand spectacle of David Schafer’s evening, with dozens of women lining up to bestow kisses on him.
The first few dozen women were just models and obscure actresses provided by the hotel, lacking fame, and the men in the venue had already seen them before, so most of the time, although their looks drew envious stares, the men’s expressions remained relatively calm.
It wasn’t until the Hollywood starlets arranged by Stephen for these guys began to appear that the venue was whipped into climax after climax.
Starting with Lisa Burnett who had starred in the hit sitcom ’The Cosby Show,’ moving on to Melissa Brennan, the third-generation Jennifer Horton voted the most beautiful by many male viewers, followed by Laura Dunn, the golden-haired girl-next-door Andi from ’Blue Velvet.’
These appearing starlets, unlike the actresses who offered kisses earlier, didn’t need to introduce themselves during conversations at the venue to remind the men of their performances in various films and TV shows.
But now, these starlets didn’t need any introduction; as they shed their cloaks to reveal their looks, the men instantly recognized who they were.
This was the difference between actresses and starlets, especially since these starlets hadn’t appeared in the venue previously, which was the reason for the men’s astonishment. They had already thought the women who showed up tonight were impressive enough—models, high-end escorts, actresses—each one fully captivating to the male eye, but now, it seemed like those women weren’t worth mentioning...
