Chapter 283: Chapter 11: The World is So Big, There Are Always Kind People_3

Jason leaned back in his seat like a lazy bug, "Your bullshit is as incomprehensible as ever. What exactly happened that made you willing to come and see me? Since that last time I spent seventy grand in one night, you haven’t personally answered my calls. I don’t think half a year is enough time for you to forget a seventy-thousand-dollar bill."

"Nothing much, just remind you to help me calculate how much the various company shares we, Susan, and I have acquired through EFF are worth over the years," Tommy began.

"You want to cash out?" Jason asked, slightly frowning in confusion.

Tommy handed the Coke back to Sophia and took out a cigarette for himself, tossing one to Jason, then lit his own, shaking his head slightly:

"Of course not, just picked a target, getting ready to hit a big one, I need the capital."

"Like with Lotus Corporation?" Jason asked emotionlessly.

Tommy nodded without denying, "Similar, but the target is much bigger than Lotus Corporation; it’s not possible to take over the whole thing, just a small portion."

Then why did you just say you don’t need to liquidate? Tell me, how much capital do you need me to prepare for you?" Jason picked up the cigarette in front of him and poked at it, placing it in his mouth, and asked:

"All the shares from the dozens of companies we three hold, when combined, can barely be valued at seven hundred million. It’s a stretch, but not far off, considering only two of the companies are publicly listed. Based on industry growth, in another five years, those shares could be worth two or three times more. I don’t recommend that you pull all the money out now, really, Tommy. You haven’t been following the software industry these past two years; it’s completely different, growing at an astonishing rate."

Tommy looked at Jason, "You’ve been with Mr. Benson for so long, he never told you one thing?" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"Told me what?" Jason asked as he took out a lighter to ignite his cigarette.

Tommy said seriously, "The most important thing in business is to never take out the money you’ve already pocketed to do more business. You must always believe, with the world being so big, there will always be good people willing to take on the costs for us."

"I was actually feeling a bit guilty about scaring the Japanese just now, but after your last sentence, my guilt has completely disappeared. Thanks for the tip, priest Tommy~" Jason rolled his eyes at Tommy and asked:

"So, which lucky guy has the honor of being chosen from the multitude of American companies to potentially receive this year’s most miserable company award?"

"Just founded two years ago, broadcasting for six months, backed by ’porn king’ Rupert Murdoch, Fox Television Network," Tommy said with a smile.

"... That’s a relief, I thought you were talking about Murdoch Group’s Fox Television Network... I..." Jason didn’t even react at first but then widened his eyes in shock, "You mean that Murdoch Group which reportedly has a global annual income of twelve billion? You want to steal their television business in the United States? Their monthly income is more than the three of us have worked for in three years."

Tommy retorted as a matter of course, "What’s the issue with an American, on American soil, taking back American people’s television business stolen by an Australian? Just look at the number of good American companies that guy has ruined. He is an economic spy sent by England to ruin one American company after another. As a purebred American, I must stand up and put a stop to such behavior."

"None of your TV station employees know about this, they haven’t resigned?" Jason turned away from Tommy’s righteous rascal face and simply asked.

Tommy replied, "Apart from Sophia, Susan, and you, no one knows. They don’t need to."

"That’ll need a large sum of money. Are you sure there are good people in the world willing to pay such a significant amount of capital for you? And what on earth did Murdoch do to offend you, did his newspapers say Ottelia wasn’t pretty enough or something?"

"Don’t worry, it will take a few years at the soonest, we’ll take it slow," Tommy exhaled a puff of smoke and said to Jason with a smile:

"And the reason is simple, he hasn’t offended me. It’s just that he and his network support the Republican Party, while ABC, CBS, NBC, and my BT stand against him. So, my plan is still the usual practice, BT instigates, the big three networks help me slash my opponent. They’ve been wanting to slash Murdoch for a long time but haven’t had the right opportunity and are worried about potential losses they can’t afford. So, I plan to shift the loss and hatred to the black community, allowing them to strike more comfortably and without future worries."

With you around, the Soviet Union is blessed, Tommy." Jason scratched his head frenetically; in the past two years, he had become quite a mature and shameless businessman, but Tommy Hawk always managed to refresh his understanding of the word ’shameless’.

Tommy stretched languidly, "Maybe in a few years, the Soviet Union won’t be thanking me since I’m hoping they’ll cover the cost of this big hit for me."
