Alpha's replacement bride is destined mate-Chapter 75 Do You Know My Mother?
Klaus chased the woman in the direction she had fled, and Emily soon followed. The woman climbed into a dilapidated car and attempted to drive away, but Klaus yanked her out of the driver’s seat.
Klaus led the woman to the back door of the ice-cream parlor, where she sat huddled on the floor, her head bowed, muttering to herself.
"I’m sorry, it’s not my fault," the woman’s voice trembled. "Please forgive me, Luna Diane."
Emily gazed at the woman before her, and for the second time, she heard her mother’s name from a stranger. The woman must know her mother, but why was the woman so terrified at the mere mention of Emily’s mother?
"Hey, Judy," Emily glanced at the name on the badge pinned to the woman’s chest. "Lift your head and look at me."
"No, no," the woman, Judy, shook her head frantically; she dared not meet Emily’s gaze.
"You know my mother, don’t you?" Emily’s tone was gentle as she crouched down and tentatively reached out to touch Judy’s shoulder, but Judy slapped her hand away.
"Don’t touch me!" Judy screamed.
"Stop!" Klaus shouted at Judy, displeased that the woman had struck Emily’s hand.
"Klaus, let me talk to her," Emily said, motioning for Klaus to step back, giving them some space.
Reluctantly, Klaus stepped aside and stood in the open, pulling out a cigarette from his pocket and smoking it while keeping an eye on Emily.
"Hey, Judy, don’t be afraid," Emily tried to approach Judy again. "I’m not Luna Diane."
"What?" Judy froze for a few seconds, then slowly turned her head to look at Emily. As her gaze moved to Emily’s face, she lowered her head again in fear.
"No, you’re Luna Diane." Judy buried her head in her hands, her body pressed against the wall. "Don’t come to me, I didn’t cause your death."
"I’m not Luna Diane," Emily patiently explained. "My name is Emily, and I’m her daughter."
Emily’s words seemed to jog Judy’s memory, and she gazed into the distance with a vacant expression for a few moments before daring to look up.
She blinked, trying to clear her vision, and then stared at Emily. Her eyes shifted from fear to confusion and finally to bewilderment.
"Her daughter?" Judy’s voice was weak. "You’re that girl."
"Yes, you see I’m right?" Emily was glad that Judy had finally stopped rejecting her. She planned to bridge the gap between them to get more information about her mother.
"Would you like something to drink?" Emily asked. "Why don’t we sit down and talk over a drink?"
Judy swallowed. "Drink? Okay."
"Come on." Emily was slowly helping Judy to her feet when the back door suddenly opened.
"I knew you were slacking off here," a bald man in a floral shirt grabbed Judy by the hair and yelled at her. "You’re smoking weed at work again, aren’t you?"
"Hey, let her go!" Emily pushed the man away.
"Who the hell are you?" The man glared at Emily, and the next second, he was struck in the face by Klaus’s fist.
"Apologize to this lady," Klaus spoke in a sullen tone as he stood over Emily, protecting her.
"Who the hell are you?" The bald man spat blood on the ground, his eyes fixed on Klaus, then at Judy. "Are you in debt to a loan shark? Are they here to collect from you?"
"No, Mr. Brian, I owe no loan shark," Judy said, seemingly frightened of the bald man.
"I’ve been kind enough to take you in and let you work here, and you’ve always been a problem for me," the bald man said, shaking Judy aside roughly. "You’re fired."
"Please don’t fire me," Judy pleaded with the man. "I have nowhere else to go."
"Stay away from me!" The man ripped the badge from Judy’s chest and slammed the back door shut.
"It’s you, it’s you, it’s you who caused me to lose my job!" Judy yelled at Emily, as if she were mad, and she ran straight down the road.
"Wait, Judy!" Emily ran after her.
"Emily, watch out for the car!" Klaus shouted at Emily and hurried after her.
Judy ran into the road just as a speeding car happened to pass. There was no time for Judy to dodge. She ran straight into the car.
Judy’s body was hit by the car and flew to the ground. The car jerked to a stop, and a man in a white baseball cap poked his head out of the window. He glanced at the woman on the ground, then quickly closed the window as the car swerved around Judy’s body and continued to accelerate.
The driver of the car involved in the accident had escaped!
"Judy!" Emily watched as Judy was knocked to the ground, where she remained motionless, a stream of blood trickling from her mouth.
"No, no, no." Emily was overcome with remorse as she rushed to Judy’s side and called her name repeatedly, "Judy, Judy, you can’t die."
Soon after, they rushed the injured Judy to a nearby hospital for treatment, but the doctors delivered the devastating news: Judy was in poor physical condition due to her long-term drug use, and the car accident had caused severe damage to her organs.
"She’s in a coma right now, and I can’t guarantee she’ll wake up," the doctor told Emily. "Maybe she’ll never wake up."
Emily was devastated to hear the news. If Judy truly didn’t awaken, then she would never learn the truth about her mother’s death.
Emily stayed by Judy’s bedside, praying fervently for her to wake up soon.
"Why do you care so much about this woman?" Klaus bought a cup of coffee from the vending machine and handed it to Emily. "Do you know her?"
"No, I just met her," Emily replied, standing over Judy’s hospital bed and gazing at the unconscious woman.
The woman’s face was pale, and her breathing was so faint that it was almost imperceptible.
"When she saw me, she mistook me for my mother," Judy’s words echoed in Emily’s mind. "She mentioned my mother’s death; she must know something."
Emily couldn’t forget the terror with which Judy had spoken of her mother’s name. She must have been heartbroken.
"Maybe my mother didn’t die in childbirth," Emily said, her hand unconsciously tightening around the coffee cup. "Maybe there’s something else to her death."
Klaus placed his hand on Emily’s shoulder and whispered, "Do you need me to help you with something?"
Emily shook her head slightly. "Not at the moment."
It was only when Judy awoke that she could ask her the truth about it. Perhaps Judy had been speaking nonsense, or perhaps she was telling the truth.
In any case, Emily was determined to uncover the real cause of her mother’s death. "Judy, you can’t die."

White Moonlight Hotel
"Look at the mess you’ve made!" Alpha Robert slammed his phone down on the table, glaring at his daughter. "Now the whole country knows that you slept with that valet."
"Robert, what are you doing?" Katherine clung to Gina as she shouted at her husband. "That bitch Emily did all this. She wanted to discredit you."
"Are you sure?" Alpha Robert stared at Katherine intently. "Tell me, why would she do this?"
"She..." Katherine hesitated for a moment before blurting out, "She must have resented us for forcing her to marry in the north, so she wanted revenge."
"Katherine, do you think I’m a fool?" Alpha Robert said. "I believe even the king can see through your scheme. Don’t you think I can?"
"You claimed Gina was missing, and then you asked the king to accompany you to find her. Didn’t you just want the king to see Alpha Klaus and Gina sleeping together?" Alpha Robert coldly exposed his wife’s conspiracy. "Your acting skills are so good, even I was deceived by you."
"No, Robert, it’s not what you think." Katherine still denied it. "It’s Emily’s fault."
"Shut up," Alpha Robert roared at Katherine. "Don’t think I don’t know your intentions."
"Robert, don’t you want our daughter to be a princess?" Katherine couldn’t hide it any longer. She blurted out, "The position of princess originally belonged to Gina."
"Oh, Katherine." Alpha Robert sneered at Katherine and said, "You told me you didn’t want Gina to marry into the North, so I agreed to replace her with Emily. Now you tell me that Gina is meant to be a princess. Truth be told, even if the Princess of the North were Emily, she would still be my daughter. That is an immutable fact."
"When did you ever consider Emily as your daughter?" Katherine said sarcastically. "If you truly saw her as your daughter, why did you abandon her in the countryside? You’re simply trying to curry favor with the King by leveraging your daughter’s position as a princess of the North, and I know you’ve been angling for a seat in Parliament."
"Shut up!" Alpha Robert glared at Katherine with an icy stare, his tone unwavering. "I’ll return to the pack tomorrow, and I won’t meddle in your affairs anymore."
Alpha Robert slammed the door shut and left, leaving Katherine and her daughter alone in the room. Gina hid in Katherine’s arms, sobbing, "Daddy’s gone. He won’t care about us anymore. What are we going to do?"
"Don’t worry, baby." Katherine stroked Gina’s hair and comforted her. "Mommy will make you a princess."
